The artificiality of her words hung like a stench in the air. Incinerator absently waved a hand, clearing his gossamer atmosphere of her plastic tone. He paused at the doorframe, risked a glance over his shoulder and watched her ascend the stair.
Artificiality served its purpose, he knew.

Natural beauty is a rare bird.
The thought did little to comfort as his fingers trailed through thick dark hair. Truth was rarely comforting.

From a demon to another demon, it was not so difficult to tell that this new one that was in front of her was using her powers on a human. Whether it worked on Incinerator, or he was merely playing along, Natania did not know. "You seem disturbed," she spoke up after her long silence of mere observation. Although it was not in Natania's nature to get involved with other people's business unless it somehow caught her attention, she was uncomfortable with the fact that someone--something-- used powers to control the will of another. Natania never liked the feeling of being controlled or bend to someone else's will; unfortunately, her creation was for this purpose and it seemed impossible to escape whether she was an angel or a demon. Perhaps this is why my powers consist of manipulation. But they are only on things with no soul.

Incinerator turned back from his view of the peaceful isle, face solemn, brow cocked.
"Is that concern I hear?"
He slid the length of the doorway, landing cross-legged between nature and the makings of man.
"Far from expecting your concern, dear sweet Natania, I presume curiosity has played a hand in your behavior yet again. As I myself possess a weakness for understanding the behavior of others, I shall explain and, for your sake, hope to be brief."
He exhaled sharply, as though with pain.
"I discern the flavors of sin, unsavory candy rolled endlessly on my tongue. Her flavor turns my stomach, and yet I cannot turn her away. Cannot discern her taste less palatable than mine. Cannot pass judgment for, as surely as they differ, her sins and mine remain a dark mark upon the soul. The sweet taste of purity, of goodness, of beauty, of light, can offer hope to a man who is drowning in filth. I search for fallen angels, that my goodness may wash clean their indiscretions, and their goodness mine. Ah, but hope runs thin."
A sad smile contorted his features, eyes set with a spark for which he was known. The hope for fallen angels.

Ash

Ash walked into her room and sat her bag down on the floor by her bed. She hopped the other demon hadnt recognized her powers. Well ether way that she knew that girl would still be suspicious. She walked to the window and looked out at the human's world. She could get used to it, but she hoped she wouldnt be here that long.

Her eyes were staring up at the stairs where the new demon had disappeared off to as she listened to Incinerator speak. "That was not brief," she spoke her thoughts out loud, but not meaning it as something rude. Turning her eyes to him, she continued. "I do not seem to understand your reasons for that. Are you confusing love with something else, or are you confusing something else with love. At least, that is what it sounds like to me. But that does not really answer what I want to know." Natania became more curious at the human's response, but the thing she wanted to know first should be the first thing that is answered before the topic switches around too much. "Did you notice anything unusual about her and have ignored it, or have you not realized anything yourself?"

"For such a topic as this, perhaps I cannot easily be brief."
Incinerator extended an angry hand towards the stairway. "Confusing love and other things is not unusual. Creatures such as she thrive on the confusion of diluted mortals, weaving empty promises with her eyes. That is also not unusual."
He forced the full weight of his gaze, dark eyes set with the makings of a storm. "Perhaps time on this earth will teach you what love is, strange one," Incinerator growled, running fistfuls of hair through twitching fingers. "I, myself, cannot mistake its bitter taste. Until such a time as your understanding grows, leave me to my fallen angels." His shoulders slumped, as in defeat.
He drew himself puppetlike from his place on the ground, watching the coming storm in a horizon private to his view.

Natania continued to stare with her usual expressionless face. "Love," she began. "You seem to think I have never felt it. Perhaps that is half true. My love was different from what I noticed in others." Closing her eyes, she continued. "I admit to have been envious of lovers at one point, but it has gotten to the point where I question it all." Opening her eyes, she glanced back over at Incinerator while placing one of her hands on the stair's railing. "However, it is none of my business in matters of love with others. Observation is as close as I will get, so I suppose you are right; my understanding still needs to grow." Natania began to ascend the stairs, holding her case in the other hand. "I shall confront her. Your anger may be something I can relate a little to. Deception and manipulation--even as we contradict ourselves, nobody really appreciates it happening to them."

"Despite an appealing appearance and fascinating nature, you believe you will forever remain an onlooker in the face of love. My anger has been misplaced. Your anger, too, is misplaced, as I am certain the female upstairs is not the being who has hurt you so. For all these things I am truly sorry, regardless of my part, merely for their existence, and that is enough."
His lips quirked in a smile, mere tilt of the lip.
"Do what you will, but understand there are those in this world who know enough to appreciate the beauty of a fallen angel."

Taking a pause in her steps, Natania glanced back down from the stairs, still holding the railing. "Perhaps my appearance may be appealing to some, but it is my nature that keeps most away. Superstition and along the lines of that." Natania blinked. "And your anger is normal. What is there to apologize for? As for my anger, I do intend to place it in the right direction until the source of it is gone from existence." A cold aura around her emerged before it disappeared as quickly as it had come. "I was merely going to tell her," Natania continued like nothing happened, "that it was not needed to use her alluring powers on you since, I am sure, asking would have made things simpler. But if you do not mind that much anymore, since you had apologized," she turned around and began to descend, "then I will not do anything unnecessary." Her attention was momentarily diverted by the sounds of the storms rumbling outside. Her head turned toward the direction that still continued to call for her, but regardless of being human or a demon, she knew better. "It also seems that my stay will also be extended for the time being."

Ash

Ash walked down the hall and stopped right before turning the corner and walking down the steps, hearing the last few sentences of their conversation. She coughed and turned the corner. "How lovely, you will be staying too" she almost to sweetly. She walked down the steps light and airy and stood next to Natalia. "Remember that some people get hurt from acting before they think" she said giving Natania a sweat but mean smile.

Natania's gaze barely glanced over at the demon that had begun descending the stairs along with her. Once she had reached the bottom of the stairs, she placed her case down near the first step as a reminder to pick it up later regardless of if she was going to be coming back down from the stairs again, or if she were about to leave. Although through these motions, Natania had been quiet, of course she had noticed how Ash had seem to be only acting nice. She wondered if it was because Natania stood between her and "a prey" or that another demon just cannot take kindly to another demon. Especially another female demon that cannot fall for seduction tricks. "It is unwise to walk in a heavy storm that is approaching," she replied to Ash's first comment after a small period of silence.

With her necklace swinging back and forth gently near her collarbone, Natania stood in front of the window, hands in her jacket pocket, watching the steadily approaching dark weather. Natania did not mind the rain. It neither made her happy, nor did it make her depressed as it does for most humans as she remembered. At times, it also held a gloomy, dark atmosphere that she is easily attracted to. Natania had been pondering on what the female fallen angel had said to her afterwards. She was not wrong; without a strategy, Natania could easily be killed if she were to randomly go after an angel. It was not something Natania had planned just yet, however, in Ash's case, that comment was not directed at Natania's hate for divine creatures. "We must sometimes take action lest mischance on plots and errors happen because of inaction," Natania spoke up after another one of her infamous silence. At times like these when she is slow to reply and only ponders, most people would think she had been ignoring them.

Ash

"Yes but sometimes the... Enemy, has something that you dont know about" she said slyly. She looked over at Sin who seemed to be hardly saying a word. Maybe he was scared of them, or maybe just waiting for a battle. She walked to the bottom of the stairs and crossed her arms, not in the 'im scared' way but in the 'im better then you' way.

Natania continued to stare out the window a little longer. Wherever she was headed towards, it continued to call to her. With a silent sigh as she closed her eyes, her eyebrows slightly furrowed, she turned back around to look at the people in the room. After Ash's own reply, Natania noticed her crossing her arms. She stared unblinkingly, hands still inside her jacket pocket. "The same could also be said from anyone else here," she stated without much emotion in her response. "No one here really knows what techniques the other uses."

"Techniques, yes people use techniques." She said quietly. She walked over to the chairs she had bin sitting in before Sin and Natania had found her. "Unfortunately, most demons fight out of anger and don't use a.... technique." She shook her head slightly and waiting for Natania to come closer. The room wasn't filled with humans but there where a few and sometimes humans panic when they see other races.

Natania's gaze did not seem too focused on the people in the room. In a sense, until her curiosity was satisfied, her mind could only dwell on what it is she wanted to know. At the moment, it was where her instincts were leading her. Not that she did not pay attention to what people say in the room; Natania was naturally quiet to begin with, so she was still not used to long conversations. "The same could be said for anyone, not just demons, when it comes to anger," she replied. "Even if the person has the best techniques in the world." But even some people aren't given a choice to who they get to hate or be angry at... Natania thought bitterly to herself.
