"I'M TRRRYYYIIINGGGG!!!" T-5 whined, following further behind the other member. Carrying a backpack full of stuff wasn't his idea of fun, and the armor was heavy, not to mention that there was nothing to look at other than fog and T-13's backside. He had tried to occupy his mind by counting steps and making sure they kept in proper measure, but even he grew bored of that. Now he was just exhausted and was trying his best to keep up. The hell-horse sure looked like a sweet ride more and more, and he regretted taking part in killing it. Maybe they could find a herd of them and tame 2 to ride? That is......if he could see in this fog.
"Hey 13. If this is an island and it has a lighthouse and a town, do you think there are any boats around here?" He asked, panting as he pushed to pick up his step and managed to up alongside his friend.

Delta Nine glanced at Delta Eight before shrugging. She didn't really have any answers for him. She would go where Delta Five went, at least for now. Really, all she wanted to do was reunite with Theta Seven.
Delta Nine stepped onto the beach, fighting the urge to rub her forehead with the heel of her hand.

"Ok, to the beach it is then. Who knows, maybe we'll find a boat or something... heck even wreckage that might have some clues as to how we got here or where we came from." Delta 5 replied, sounding a bit relieved that they had a game plan now. Granted the fog wasn't as bad as it had been but aimlessly wandering in this place didn't seem like such a great idea.
Though she didn't have much time to think about that when she felt her phone going off in her pocket. Oh not this again... please don't take more people this time, who knew what happened to the last set. Taking a deep breath, Delta 5 pulled the phone from her pocket and flipped it open to take a quick look at the message. Day 2? It really didn't seem as if it had been that long, but when your fighting for you life and hiding.. well... it did occupy your mind more than you'd think. Shadows now too huh... good grief... didn't these people have anything better to do with their time than play puppet master with them?
While she was pondering the message,it seemed that they had reached the beach area without her realizing it... taking a quick glance around when some of the others started talking about sand. "Hmm...? Oh hey we're here! Goodness I need to start paying attention more..." she sighed, noticing that Delta 8 had joined them too. One more party member, awesome, and 4 seemed like a decent number for a group. "Off we go then. Wonder what will be waiting for us here." she said and started off across the sand with the rest of them.

She was actually quite relieved when the lone Delta caught up to them and she saw that it was Delta Eight. Finally, somebody that she knew could be useful! Not that she trusted him as far as she could throw him....but still.
"You're welcome to stay with us as long as you don't try to kill us." She shrugged, answering his question, then gave him a light punch in the shoulder "It's good to see that you made it out alive so far, anyways" She murmured quietly, before following the others off of the sand and onto the beach.

"Try harder! Or else we both end up dead. In a ditch. A very ugly ditch full of bad things. Now c'mon." For Thirteen the view wasn't much better, just fog and a patch of road to follow, at one point he had debated walking in the fog, but quickly decided against it. Last time they ended up in a fog it had saved them yes, but left them blind and stumbling for a good hour till they got back to the roads again.
"Maybe, but do you think getting on a boat and sailing away would save us? Who ever started this probably rigged em to blow up, or took em all away..."

Theta Nine gave Fedora's hand a faint squeeze back in silent acknowledgement and thanks. It did help to know that he had company, it really did. At her murmur, he glanced down at the path emerging under their moving feet. "Just enough for us to walk on. A good lesson in patience, this," he remarked, pitching his voice low. Behind his gas mask, he crinkled up his nose. "I don't think I was ever very patient." His steady steps would seem to contradict this, though. He let out a soft chuckle at Tattoo's words. "We can hope, right? Gotta admit, I was relieved to find we're not on a yellow brick road." Why was that? One more mystery to add to the rest.
As Thyme continued along the path toward the beach, the cell phone on his belt vibrated again, and he made a face. "Not again," he grumbled, twisting the phone around and batting ineffectually at the clingy fog so that he could read the screen. The many exclamation points provoked a dry laugh. "Whoever's sending this messenger is way too cheerful." Brows drew sharply down as he read to the last part. "We've encountered the shadows already." That is, if there weren't worse shadow creatures lurking around the corner. Not thinking about that! "Wonder what they mean by unwanted visitors." Way to be reassuring here, he thought immediately after the words left his lips.

The idea of an exploding boat wasn't all that appealing, and he huffed at the idea of no escape. "Well, it was just a thought." He grumbled, shoulders hunched as he followed T-13 and tried to keep up as best he could. "Thirteen........do you remember anything? From........before this?" He asked, curious.

"A good thought, way to risky though, stick to the rules and we should be okay as long as we don't lose a fight." Slowing down he waited for Five to catch up falling into pace beside him shrugging. "I remember a dream, a room with a bunch of us, at desks, someone was talking telling us about whatever was about to happen." He thought for a moment, nothing else came to mind but that dreamish sort of situation. "Nothing beyond that honestly."

He walked silently next to T-13, wondering if it was better that everyone was in the same situation of amnesia that he was. It at least was comforting to know he wasn't alone in not knowing anything, but despite that, T-13 seemed rather comfortable and confident in his situation.
"Oh." He looked to the side of the road a the thick fog. "I don't remember anything either." He looked back at T-13. "Do you think that there will be a reward other than surviving at the end of this? I wonder if these strange people making us hunt each other will keep to their word. Seems a bit strange to get a bunch of us together to just kill each other. They must be strange."

"Look! The beach is ahead." Fedora almost broke from the two to run ahead, but stopped and lowered her head sheepishly, almost laughing in giddy delight. "Sorry, I guess I got excited to see the water and all..." She turned her head towards Thyme, giving him and Tattoo an 'a-ok' with her free hand. "Looks like we made it!"

It was silent, their walk to the beach. In the background, the waves crashed against the caverns of cliffs like prowling beasts, receding into the dark only to come searching once again. At one point, she'd started to hum; a Disney tune, the recesses of her mind told her, but when she tried to decipher Disney, her brain got as far as magic carpet rides and ballroom scenes and quit. At one point, they'd started conversation, though she'd been so lost in thought that half of the words flew directly over her head. Chuckling softly at the comment of Yellow Brick Roads and text messages, the girl quickly flipped her own open, scrolling through the messages. They phased her in the beginning, the mysterious messages from the even more mysterious powerhouses from above. But now, she took them in stride, with a sliver of resentment and a growing seed of thrill. I am crazy. She thought to herself on more than one occasion. And as they fell into silence again, she began to wonder just how high up on the lost-her-marbles scale she really was.
"Look! The beach is ahead."
It was Fedora who dragged her out of her contemplation, her growing unease with nothing but the person she was, and could have been. Tilting her head up, the Theta blinked. And then her mouth split into a small grin, and she laughed. "Well, its not a sunny, water-ski and piña colada's on the beach type thing, but it sure as hell beats where we were, huh?" She tugged softly on both of their hands, and moved forward, towards their next destination.

"Rewards like a cash prize or something? Doubt it, I think this is just a game to see who lives and who dies. End result probably something with science." He shrugged, "I'd say living is a good prize either way." Together they continued to wander the fog, somewhere in the distance a glow matching the pendant Five had could be seen. Maybe that was the town?
Slowly he started to follow the light, barely realizing he was now in the corn field rather then the town they had hopped to find...

At Fedora's announcement, Thyme breathed in deep. Was it his imagination, or was there really a salty tang to the air now? "Well, what are we waiting for?" he murmured with a laugh, picking up his pace, even if he didn't quite break into a run just yet. "I wouldn't trust any water skis they gave us, but who knows, they might just surprise us about the piña coladas."
Before too long, the path underneath his boots faded into sand.

Living was a better alternative than anything, and if it came to prizes, it was probably the highest thing up there. Looking at it that way, he guessed he was being pretty dumb with wanting anything more. Still, it would have been nice. The pendant was shiny and all, but he would have traded it in for a ride.
As they moved into the fog, T-5 pushed on to make sure he was close by T-13, not wanting to loose him. He had no idea if T-13 would go back to find him if he went too far behind....but he did like to think he would.

The mist seemed to shift a little as they travelled further and further from the weak light of the lighthouse, or maybe it was just that her spirits were raising. She had stiffened a little when he tightened his grip on her hand, bringing their palms closer, but she felt herself relaxing as they continued towards the cornfields.
