12 held up one hand. "No thank you. I appreciate it, but I'm healthy. I don't need to take your weapon from you when you could use it more than I could." Unless 9 had as horrible of luck with weaponry as she herself had had. She was almost..creepily helping, given how beat up she'd made herself.
She could have sworn that she'd been stabbed before she passed out, though. Too many questions about her current condition, to be honest. And nobody to answer them. Then again, nobody had questioned her wellness, so she'd passed it off and ignored it.
Soon enough, however, 12 noticed they'd picked up another straggler, looking to 8, then 1, then 9. She was making a slight face underneath her mask, but it was happily masked. She thought they'd agreed to groups of four. With 10 in their group, they'd be a group of 5.
Could someone else do without the fourth party member?
"It's up to them." 12 answered finally, not wanting to be the one who immediately shot down the idea if the other three had no qualms with it.

8 made a bit of a face as well. They had all formed groups of 4, and she'd been under the impression that 2 had invited 10 along with them. Did that mean the others were one short? She heaved a sight and shook her head. 5 would be a harder load on their medic, and that made her nervous, but 10 was going the complete opposite way of the others.
"Fine. Don't attack anything unless it gets to us first," she said, slipping her wooden stake into her belt, "Another weapon will do us good, I guess."
10 was not her favorite by far.

Well. . . none of them sounded too particularly pleased if their voices from beneath their masks could be any indication and Gamma X, being the type who either caught on well enough to fix his mistakes or was polite enough to try and lie his way out of things, figured he needed to fix this mess.
"Hey, no worries. I was planning on going off a bit on my own once we got to the beach so you don't have to make any deals for me, just figured it'd be easier to travel there with others instead of solo. I'm pretty sure there were talks about that group of four thing but I figure it'll give me a chance to scope around and see different things. Sometimes having someone on their own works better then being a burden, right?" At least until they reached their destination he'd travel with them but then Gamma X would sure as heck get away from the group. While he hadn't intended to piss people off it sure seemed like he had. Oops.
Of course him also trying to say that he could go on his own might have seemed like an act of appeasement and that his feelings were hurt, but they weren't that either. He figured there was no point in ruffling some feathers because these people could just as easily decide to kill him as any enemy could. There was also a little bit of thought that a person alone could indeed travel faster and he wouldn't have to worry about protecting people. It also meant he could die about ten times easier but that was a worry he wasn't going to voice. No need to keep rubbing salt into unhappy wounds.

Nine was somewhat surprised when another gamma showed up following them. Although she hadn't said much or even been there during it, it seemed like everyone else had decided on the groups of four thing. She didn't care either way, and let the others make their decision, they had already pretty much claimed the position of leadership and she wasn't about to try any form of mutiny.
Upon Twelve's refusal of the weapon, Nine tucked it back into her belt. "Alright den." Nine had no intention of using the weapon herself, she'd already whacked herself enough to know better, but when the chance came, she would not be shy about grabbing someone else's weapon.
At the somewhat long-winded explanation that Ten gave to the group, Nine shrugged and made a small grunt, hidden almost entirely by the mask. She didn't really care as long as they weren't going to be a liability.

8 shrugged and continued walking, her attention turned away from 10. If he wanted to go off on his own and get himself killed, so be it. She'd be surprised if she found him in the shadow crew without some other-colored teammates. Maybe it would be best to... not start burning bridges.

"Being alone isn't always so bad." 12 said, shrugging, but dropping the subject there, instead. However, after a moment of pause a new thought came to her mind.
"Do you think the other areas got attacked by a monster-thing as well?" she inquired, not really thinking on the front of them getting a pony of their own, but wondering if, in a twisted way, there were any dead bodies laying around the beach for her to snoop at and maybe pilfer stuff off of.
But there was also the possibility they'd walk right into someone else getting attacked.
Yikes.

The majority of their trip was in silence, but they didn't get ambushed while moving about, which was a good thing. Feeling the buzz from his phone, yII checked to see that they now had five days left. Still only five days. He had a feeling those five days won't go all too smoothly either.
Grimacing at the thought of whatever was to come, he took in a deep breath and peered out into the fog.
There was something in the distance now; a tower-like structure. It must have been the lighthouse.
"Looks like we're here. Let's keep going," he said to the other two. Their fourth member never showed up, which was a little discerning to him. He didn't know where they were, but the rest of the group would have to make do with three people in the meantime.

Fortunately the trip was quick enough, despite the length of time it took to go much of anywhere and it had, fortunately, gone quickly enough, 12 just thankful that she hadn't had to try out how her fists worked on the masked faces.
Or on the face of a demon-pony. Demon ponies weren't really something she wanted to run into again at any chance, and she had still been trying to settle her feelings on the idea of possibly having to put her fist into someone else's face and take their asses out. Was everybody on the island going to be hung up on that?
Should she have just taken the plunge and gone for it?
The beach soon was in her sight and, looking up at the massive and empty shape in the distance, she sighed, falling to the back of the group, in the same manner she always had, to watch their backs as they descended upon the shore.

8 suddenly found herself at the head of the group, and her nerves threatened to eat her alive. She wasn't sure why the others suddenly imagined her capable, she certainly had no idea what she was doing. Her steps faltered briefly as they headed toward the sandy beach, and she took a deep breath to steel herself.

One had been lost within her own thoughts much of the time spent travelling towards the beach, barely even registering those around her until she started to smell water on the air.
She looked up then, and gave Eight a quick squeeze on her nearest arm, as if saying she was right with her, and followed her as they approached the shore.

For once, Gamma Seven didn't have anything to say. The rest of the rather long trip to the Lighthouse was filled with silence - perhaps the occasional 'Hey, did you hear that' or a childish 'are we there yet?' - but on the whole, silence. Instead of pestering everyone, Seven remained mostly contemplative, formulating a plan no doubt, while looking for Eta Nine.
Was he disappointed that she never showed up? Yes. Yes he was.
He heard the buzz from his phone and he flipped it open to read the text - Day two....five left. So far, so good. But even then, after two days it appeared that all twenty-four from their neck of the woods were still alive. If only thirteen could make it out...
Yeah, the next five days were going to be a blood bath.
And there he was, without his dagger.
GodDAMNIT.
"Alrighty, Bossman~" He saluted Two and went back to shutting his gob, trailing after him and keeping a very weary eye open.

Gamma Four was purposefully quiet. She didn't have all that much to say to be honest. While she could brag about getting the medkit from teh hell horse, it really wasn't all that big of a deal, and she had a feeling it would just annoy theo thers. While she wasn't out to make friends, she wasn't out to make enemies either.
When her cell phone vibrated she flicked it open, eyes squinting as she read the message. Only five days left...She could do this, she could survive.
Before she knew it they seemed to arrive at their destination, she looked up at the shadowy figure of the light house. Hopefully this place was safe-ish. The text had mentioned shadows after all. Finally she spoke.
"I'm right behind you," And she was.

The trip had taken a little while, but it could've been much worse. Nine was a little annoyed with One not responding to her, but she would just have to try asking again later. With the beach in sight, Nine walked a little faster to keep up with everyone else.

[ η X is entering. ] - [ 8:26PM EST ]
He just up and walked out of base camp. No designated partner, nothing. Just up and left. The decision wasn't very prudent. Prudent: the word he just recently learned -- sensible. η X didn't think anything of it though. Group Eta. They were supposed to be a team, right? They would all follow him, most definitely, or some would split into a sub group; but either way, he was positive someone would be with him. He really hoped so anyway.
Following the path, η X unknowingly headed towards the lighthouse. He didn't exactly remember the map, but a path was a path, and a path meant he could find his way back if he got lost! η X hummed and checked behind him just once, but when he saw no one, he started to worry briefly. Eta was going to explore too, right?..
A familiar vibration on his phone caught his attention then, and η X looked down to check it. Another message. It was day two. He couldn't believe it. It felt like this was going to last forever. The message was right too, he was traveling; however, the words "unwanted visitors" gave him an ill feeling. The horse? More monsters? He didn't want to find out. Going on ahead was starting to sound like a bad idea..
η X sighed and carried onward, albeit much slower than his original pace. He hoped a companion showed up soon.

(( Eta VI is entering from Eta Home Base - 9:53 EST ))
"Eta X! Wait up!" Eta VI jogged up the path to join her teammate, a task that was made a little difficult by the weight of her mace. She fell into step next to him.
She hadn't really thought about what she was doing beyond the fact that she couldn't let Eta X go out wandering by himself. They were teammates, after all. They all wanted to get through this alive. "Do you know where we're headed?" She remembered most of the places on the map, but she didn't remember exactly where they were. There was the Abandoned Town they had just left, the Beach, the Lighthouse... the Cornfields? And some sort of Cove...
Well, they'd figure it out. At least now they both had someone to talk to--and watch each other's backs.
