"I don't need a body guard that much," she began, smiling, "I seem to only find myself in trouble when you're around." Rosalind flicked her hair over her shoulder and turned her back to Chaonis, flouncing off a few feet. She then turned her head, letting her curls bounce as she did so, before adding, "anyway, I hate to be a wet towel, but I have to get going. Important things to tend to and all that. It's the curse of being fabulous." Completely disregarding the last thing Chaonis had said, Rosalind deliberately took head of the situation and felt truly triumphant.
It was kind of like one of those situations where an employee is fired, but then adds, 'no, I quit,' so that they can feel liberated. She definitely felt liberated at that very moment. Dashing off, her heels clacking on the pavement the entire time, Rosalind went quite a distance from the scene of the battle before powering down.
Calling her chauffer, Elegancia sat on a bench (if it were the day time, she'd have never been caught doing so) and waited. Then the pang of the entire thing caught up and her heart felt as though it'd thump out of her throat. She then proceeded to send a text that read (in very proper grammar): I think you would care very much if I was killed in a fight! Rude.

Chaonis watched her as she ran off, frowning at the space she used to occupy. His mind was still grinding away slowly, not really working as well as he it needed to.
He bristled, then walked off, wanting nothing more than to crash in his bedroom and lock himself in, as per usual. Turn on a video game, crank up the sound of people getting shot and screaming to death, and not think about today at all.
Ever again.
He would, of course, because that was just how the human mind worked despite his determination.
