Vanilla eXee Hisaki Yuki001 Vanilla eXee Hisaki Yuki001 Vanilla eXee What do you feed them? If it's pellets, soak the pellet first then give it to him. That way it won't expand in his little tummy. Sounds like it's not columnaris which is good news. He'll probably pull through.I feed him hikari pellets. The only problem is he'll only eat them if I don't soak them. Most of my bettas are like that, especially Sonoka and Mr. Moto.. I would go with some brine shrimp for extra nutrients, but I don't want to risk it with Mr.Moto right now. Once his swelling goes down some more, I'll probably get some to help with getting some more strength back.
Ok..thanks for the advice..^_^
Try breaking them up then and only feed a little bit.Ok...Thank you. I'll try it with Mr.Moto. Sonoka's still refusing to eat though. I got him to eat a pellet yesterday, but he stills seems uninterested. Any ideas on trying to get him interested. I once had a betta, after being ill refused to eat anything until I got brine shrimp. After that he wanted to eat anything and everything. Does that sound like a good idea if he keeps up this way?
Yes. Newly hatched Brine shrimp is very nutritious 9if it's older than that it needs to be enriched) and bettas love it. Daphnia is another good choice, especially for bloating because it acts as kind of a natural laxitive. I had good luck even with pfrozen thawed daphnia when I rescued a little betta girl and she wasn't eating. If all else fails, fish are supposed to love the taste of garlic. Grind up a clove and soak the pellets in the juice then feed the pellet.Ok.Thank you for the advice. ^_^

I think I know why Mr. Moto has been having a hard time getting better. I noticed that he's been eating his own poop...O_o I put him in an un-graveled tank to better watch him, and I've notice a few hours after he pooped it disappears! I wouldn't worry to much about it aside from the fact that his poop still doesn't look healthy...lol! I guess I'm going to put some gravel in there to hopefully discourage him. Oy vey! If this doesn't help then I'll have to start cleaning his tank once a day.
