"... do you need to take notes or is that for me?" He blinked at the pen and then went wide eyed when she said that dreadful word 'naked'.
Both hands gripped his hood and yanked it up and then dragged it down hard over his eyes.
"Seriously... tell me you don't change in public, how do you even... I mean how... Why..." He stopped and bent forward till his head rested on his knees and heaved a heavy sigh.
Beth was a senshi... BETH... was a senshi. How the ******** was he going to deal with that. It wasn't fair... it wasn't FAIR. God he felt sick... he needed someone to talk to but who COULD he talk to, anyone he did would demand he report her INSTANTLY, she'd be walking on death Row... and it would be his fault.
First her Mother... now her, but her blood would be all over his hands, unless...
Unless she was made to see the light, his stomach twisted in a knot, he'd already requested one corruption though, could he abandon that in favor of his sister? Would they understand? Would SHE understand...what about what Alkaid said... she was so...
God what was he going to do.
"....Alright..." he said after a moment. "Um... yeah get your...super-costume or...whatever."

"Nothing like that... we need this to transform. Normally we keep it in a hidey hole subspace thing... it disappears when we need or don't need it on will. I actually summoned it out of the drawer... hoping for less of a bad reaction?" It was an honest answer that was followed by nervous laughter.
"....Wow first a murderer and now a streaker? Really Zac... im not a horrible person. Sometimes i need to find make-shift transforming spots, i cant be picky in a bind, but i always make sure I'm not being watched when i do it!"
She was pouting now, something that he would recognize as a normal thing for her. She was still Beth... still the same sister he always knew. Just secretly magical.
"...Actually in a way, it is a super costume." She said as if laughing to a joke she only understood. "Im in what...well. As you would understand.. 'stage two'. Its a power upgrade... Ok so please look away." This was it...
Making sure that he was not looking towards her, Lyra summoned up a feeling she knew all too well. One she had never done before a civilian before, but the warmth of her planet was calling to her. Telling her to go for it...trusting her.
"Lyra Constellation Power, Make Up!"
Those words would probably be enough to throw Zink over the edge... she said them loud and clear. A bit of irony if he thought of it... the one person whom revealed herself to him, was the one person he was trying to 'bring into the light'. If the words were not enough, standing before him not even a moment later... was a nervous looking Super Sailor Lyra. White fuku and all.

had he been holding anything it would have crashed to the ground, had be been standing he would have fallen.
Lyra...
Scheelite's nemesis, small wonder she had been in the house to pull Schee from the burning carnage.
All this time, he'd wanted to protect her as a civilian, and all this time he'd fought her, said things to her, pushed her to the point where she'd either break or sharpen to... to god knew what.
He'd asked for her corruption, hell he'd asked for it because she reminded him of Beth... only it was beth. There was a rock his stomach like he'd swallowed it, like the Titan lord who swallowed his god children, but was fed a rock instead of Zeus, this was Zeus, and he'd just delivered his lightning bolt.
He looked up slowly as though, by looking he would make those words real, quantum reality, the sliver of hope that it might be a lie, that he might have misheard were dashed at the feet of white and blue Fuku.
If he ever wanted Ever, Ilmenite and his alcohol he wanted it NOW, though at the same time he wasn't sure his pizza was going to stay down. He'd pushed her off a ROOF in a fit of trying to be... trying to be a -tool, trying to be something he wasn't...
He'd made her cry...
but she... she was...
Lyra was part of the BMC, the dagger twisted in his chest and he was just staring, unable to speak. How must he look, just staring like a damned fool. He reached for his drink to try and steady his nerves but shaking hands meant he spilled it everywhere.
mopping up that spilled juice became the most important thing he could do just then, muttering apologies and blotting at it with the napkin with a fervor he couldn't even begin to explain to her. He had to say something... he had to say something or she'd realize something was wrong... she'd KNOW.
"D.... Did your Mother know?" He asked blinking up at her, clutching the juice soaked napkins to his chest like a lifeline in the middle of madness.

He was... so quiet.
The silence that drifted through the room... thick as jello, if she dared pull a knife she could have cut a hole in the room, watched it fall to the ground and shatter into a million pieces.
While he was waging a war inside though... so was she.
She took his silence as fear, as anger.. as indecision. Why else would he be so quiet? He had never met a senshi before, not to her knowledge anyways. To civilians... they were terrorists. Monsters just as bad as the youma that they fought off. While Senshi saw it as protecting... the civilians saw it as killing.
"Im sorry Zac." As quick as that, and with a veil of sparkling dust similar to her very own attacks, the fuku melted off her and was replaced with the clothing she wore before. Only this time, the transition back had not momentarily left her nude.
"Im sorry...I shouldnt have said anything. I should have left you blissfully unaware, i dragged you in to a war i tried so hard to keep you out of. I would sit on top of hillworth and watch out for enemies... trying to keep them away. WHen i couldn't protect you... My cat would." She wondered if he would remember the significance of her very own words.
Yes... that night Chloe attacked you Zink, Lyra was just trying to protect you.
Curling into a chair the furthest away she could get from him it was clear she was right on the verge of tears. "No.. she didnt know."

...Cat...
Lyra... had a cat. THAT cat... that ******** CAT. His hands twisted the napkin into a tight curl even as he fumbled for the right words to say.
God... she'd been trying to protect HIM from the war when he'd been trying the same for her... god... GOD.
He took a deep shaking breath and scrubbed at the carpet again with the mutilated napkin so he wouldn't have to meet her eyes. He didn't trust his own to lie for him... not right now.
"Don't... Don't say sorry." He said scrubbing till the napkin disintegrated into tiny bits of paper, he kept scrubbing till his palm was hot and irritated from being scrubbed into the carpet in some pathetic effort to utilize the tattered remains.
"I'm not... angry I'm just...." He shook his head and scrubbed again only to draw his hand back and flex it, the burn over the back of his hand mocked him. The glamor that hid them from the world kept this obvious sign from her attention... like that slight hitch in her step that she and Lyra both had carried... before that red moon shone pink through Lyra's stockings.
"Don't say sorry... It's just... hard to think of you involved in all that. It... doesn't seem fair." His voice was tight and heavy laden with emotion, his own... "... Do you choose to be a senshi or does someone just show up and say... HI here is your... magical... ball-point and a cat who's... been terrorizing the campus apparently."
He made the last part up but god... she could blame it on gossip.

Blinking away the tears that shone, she told herself mentally she needed to be better... needed to not let this hurt her. She was senshi... but at the same time, she was weak. She wanted Zacs approval... she wanted to be accepted by him. Of everyone else in the world... his word meant the most to her. He was all she had left in her family, her mother was dead.... her father was gone... she knew no other relatives. He was the one ray of hope in her life.
His disapproval would kill her, in the end.
"I am sorry though. I shouldn't have said anything. Sometimes its..better to be unaware. Sometimes its safer. I... did not....well. It was literally be eaten by a youma, or become a senshi. A youma is what we call those monsters that wander the night. I was being attacked by one.... and Chloe, My cat, saved me. Along with... i think her name was Sailor Nerissa? And another cat.... Astraea? Anyways it was so long ago... i just remember it was either fight or be killed." She looked in his direction, unsure if he was looking at her from behind that hair.
"I chose to fight."
"I am unsure but..i think its a case by case situation. Sometimes the cats find them without any issues, give a yes/no... and offer. I know thats how chloe does it, she doesnt force anyone ive seen it happen personally. Others.. i think a lot were like me. Something was chasing them.... an enemy, and it was a live or die situation.
" To be honest with you, Zac? I don't wish this life on any one... but i chose my path, and i intend to walk it. All i ask... all i crave...want. I want.. you to accept me?"

She wanted accepted... she wanted accepted and there was really only one answer to that.
He gave her a slow nod, there was so much more to it than she could begin to know... a dangerous nod filled with promises yet to be kept but he'd find a way. "... I wish you didn't have to either..." He answered, and that at least was honest. "There... there is so much you could loose."
The most obvious thing being her life, but what she didn't know...god. But it was the only way to save her, the only way he COULD accept her. After all, he knew what he was doing was right, he knew that if he just showed her, yes she might loose memories but it would still be BETH... right?
He chewed at his lip for a long quiet moment before trying to change the subject before he was well and truly sick.
"..s.... so... do... ah... Do senshi still eat pizza?"

He accepted her... he did not deny her, something she was so afraid he would have done. Something that was scaring her for weeks on end. A tiny p***k in the back of her mind with a needle, one that had quickly grown into a crochet needle... and then into a spear head.
She felt that pressure fading into the pits of the gates she opened. The hells gates were closing, and they were allowing her to stay within.
"Thank you... Zac... thank you." She did not realize the fine print on this contract of acceptance, but from her point of view it was enough. A smile formed that met her eyes, the fear once swirling in them was disappearing into nothing until it existed no more. "There is no life without a risk, we rish our lives walking to school each day. I can not go back on the life i chose."
"...But i still can eat pizza." She laughed now at the random outburst. "I have not grown some creepy alien genes that make me unable to process pizza. I can eat popcorn too! Shocking...isnt it?"

"V...very." He said clearly still shaken and forced a watery grin onto his face.
"D... does anyone else...know? I mean...about...you? A... actually you probably can't answer that can you." He said covering quickly. He couldn't be too... inquisitive as much as he wanted to be.
"... It's kinda like being told your half sister is uh..." He fumbled for a positive name to use. "Wonder...woman... or something... with a longer skirt."

"I cant answer that.... your right. While i can tell you who I am i will not reveal any other identities. I love you Zac, and i trust you with all my heart... but i can not tell you that. For everyones safety, yours and theirs." Moving around she grabbed the napkin and went to toss it into the trash. A moment later, she returned with a 12 oz bottle of pepsi, with a close-able lid, and handed it to him.
"...Hey wonder woman HAD no skirt and if i was her? Wheres my invisible jet. I feel jipped!" She said with a bottom lip pushed out, clearly teasing. The smile that came afterwords was enough to give it away too.
"....I will protect you, Zac. Even if it means my own life... i will protect you."

"Also you traded the jet for a skirt... I am thinking it was a good trade... invisible jets just mean people get a clear view of your butt... no one hit's on my Cou... my half sister without going through me first."
He uncapped the pepsi and took a deep breath. This was going to take a lot of thinking.

She already had part of the pizza in her mouth when he said those words, something that made her nearly choke on the pizza. With a hack and a wheeze, and punching her own chest... she managed to swallow the pizza down, the whole while laughing and flustered. "Going all over protective older brother on me now, huh? I think i can handle myself." Or so she thought, she just unknowingly told a -negaverse general- her identity.
"Hhhmmmm.. i always was a bit of a prude. Though i still think the butt thing could be fixed by installing a visible seat cushion.....or a towel." She grinned. It was good to be bantering like this...
"Oh! You should meet Chloe sometime... i told her i was going to tell you, she agree'd you should know. After all shes been helping me watch out for you..."

He nearly choked on pizza in turn, oh god...he did NOT want to run into that cat again in OR out of uniform. If anything would remember that scar on his hand it would undoubtedly he 'her'...
"Umm..." he said hesitantly. "mmmmAYYYbe at some point but I'm really... not a cat person I don't think." He fumbled. "I mean.. um... I've heard a few stories about her around campus Um...not that I don't...appreciate her watching out."
He shifted a little where he was... 'Sometime though, I um.. I just gota work up to it." He said carefully.

"People are talking about chloe?" Now that had her interest, normally she was pretty good about staying out of sight... unless she was letitng them pet her? That just did not seem like Chloe. "What kind of stories?" She asked now curious.
"Also... its ok, i kind of figured!" She laughed nervously. "Chloe takes time getting used to... shes really hard on people, but deep down its jsut because she cares. But..yeah. Im actually surprised your taking all of this as well as you..are? I mean... senshi.... monsters.. talking cats..." She continued on for a moment... looking towards the pizza she had, and finishing it off.

"Umm.. something about mauling some dude cutting across campus." He said hastily... never mind that he hadn't been cutting across campus he LIVED there, he just happened to have seen the god forsaken cat on the wall.
"And he tried smacking her with...I don't know a flash light or something, they were talking like it was star wars." he paused looking thoughtful. "Though I ...suppose, that... if my half sister is a Senshi, maybe cats really do have light sabers."
