Ithili agreed with Illarion, it would be a hardship to walk through the desert during the day time. It was absolutely out of the question in his mind. The burning sun would dry out his beautiful coat. Sun damage could end up being permanent, not something he wished for. He wished to continue be pleasing to the eye as well as pleasing to his own mind. From what Ithili remembered was that the desert was a tad farther than a day or two but it probably was because he became distracted by something and it took up his time. He would soon find out if anything caught his attention while he ventured around with his siblings.
"When walking the desert Temeko you don't run into much in the way of creatures. If you do, you are far larger than they are that there is no threat. If there is no shade you create your own. It is not hard to beat back a dune to protect oneself. There are outcroppings or rock, desert plants, dunes and other things that we can protect ourselves with. There are also oasi that are placed throughout the desert that have water, fresh fruits and plant life growing around it. Don't fear, we have your back. This will be fun."

Illarion nodded at Ithili. "He's right. You make your shade and you stop when you find it, or water. It's an adventure that's the point. A little danger and a lot of fun." He evened out his stride so as to pace himself.
"Maybe there will be treasure. You always here about treasure in deserts, buried in fake graves. But if you dig up the wrong grave," he shook his head. It had been a mistake to say that, "I'm only kidding Meko." He cut his eyes hoping she hadn't taken him serious about the matter.

She sighed, lowering her head and swinging her tail from side to side. "I know I'm hopeless but the two of you are just as hopeless!" she said with a small laugh, before shooting a look over to Illarion. "Your the worse!" she flailed her tail wildly as he continued to follow them, now falling behind them slightly, in order to let them lead the way.
"The two of you and your 'danger'. She huffed before turning her head, getting distracted by a small moving object in the field they were crossing, leaving her brothers quietly to follow after it.

"Hopeless. Ha!" How was he hopeless? Meko wasn't hopeless either she just had to get out and about every once in awhile. Though she probably wouldn't like that very much. At least he wasn't the worst. Ithili proudly raised his head and laughed. "Danger can be fun every once in awhile. It lets you experience what's out there and learn about new things. How exciting would it be to stay in one place all the time?" When he turned around to pose the question to Meko, Ithili noticed her wandering off. Maybe she is more adventurous than I thought. "Hey Illarion. It looks like Meko is adventuring on her own now." Ithili turned around and chased after his sister, wondering what could have caused her to just wander off like that. He had thought she was too afraid to just up and run off like that.

Illarion noticed his sister's different demeanor. "Meko?" He trotted after her. "Meko?" She seemed really distracted like she had her eyes on something. Looking ahead of her, he couldn't see anything. Maybe he was missing it?
Failing back, he looked at Ithili. "We just follow her or what?

She giggled to herself as she continued to follow the small object barely visible in the tall grass. She wasn't ignoring her brothers, she was just focused, deeply on the what it was. As she got closer, she noticed it stopped. Slowly stepping her tail swished back and fourth. Lowering her body down a little she made her way up to it. Looking down at the long scaly lizard looking back up at her. Letting out a scream she turned to run back, mumbling something about not getting eaten and monsters.

Ithili quickly galloped back to find Tameko, worried that they had already lost her. In the back of his mind, he was slightly happy because they wouldn't have to worry for her safety if she went back home. It didn't take long to hear her slight scream. Ithili kept up a faster pace and soon ran into Meko while she mumbled about monsters. Confused Ithili looked into the direction his sister came from and found a lizard curled up munching on his latest catch. Eye ridge raised Ithili started to laugh. "You followed a lizard and then were afraid of it." It was rather shiny and colorful for a lizard so he could understand the attraction. "Come there are other colorful things to attract your attention along the path we are going."
Ithili looked around for Illarion who was following behind him. Seeing the dark violet male he grinned. "She has followed a lizard out here."

"A lizard? She sounded like she was being eaten!" Illarion gave an annoyed but amused look. "Then why did you follow it Meko? It's not going to kill you. If you want, we could squish it." He raised his hoof in offering.
"But really, if you keep wandering off...you will get dried out. We have to be smart about the sun."

((So sorry guys I got a little busy! I'll be better now! I promise! Also I finally have Temeko's cert!))
She had totally forgotten about the sun and the fact that they do dry out. Letting out a heavy sigh, she gave her brothers a slightly ashamed nod. Looking up from Ithili to Illarion. "Sorry.." she said as she turned, giving the little lizard another look, this time a more skeptical one before following after them. "Do you think we will run into other's like us?" She watched and counted her footsteps, realizing their home and the familiar woods around them were gone from view, sliding herself between her brothers, feeling more secure.

Ithili watched as his sister walked between the two brothers. He was proud of his little sister that she was so far from home now, but he also wondered how much farther she would actually be able to go. Her question had him wondering himself. Would they meet others on their travels? Would they be kind or would they be enemies? Did he really want to meet others right now, he was rather enjoying this walk with his siblings. Normally he would be off looking for some sort of pretty or relaxing and doing nothing. It was good to get out every once in awhile. "Well. I don't think we will, but if we do I bet they will be kind."
He didn't want to say they would be otherwise as that would set Meko to worrying again and Ithili was to far invested in this adventure to have it backfire on him. The desert was hotter than he expected but it was good to see a few brushes and grasses every once in awhile. It meant that there was still water somewhere, so if they needed any they would be able to get some before something happened. He took a quick glance at his coat. The mud was drying but it still caked on well. The beautiful coat he treasured was still in good condition. "I wonder more, if we will find buried treasure or some unknown beautiful oasis."

Illarion was glad to see they were back on track. He wanted them to make it somewhere before nightfall, though he wasn't sure where that somewhere was. He heard his brother speak, and he knew that he was just pacifying Meko, there was good chances that whoever they met might be unfriendly, equal to the chances of being friendly.
"I hope there's treasure. Adventures, fair maidens to be rescued." He nodded his head, he'd heard all kinds of legends about this place and he was hoping that some of them at least would be correct. How lame would it be to go into the desert and find no adventure? There would have to be something!
