He knew the story (at least the beginning) like the back of his hand so he paid attention to how she reacted, without being obvious, naturally. It was nice to see someone who had never touched a video game before play one and like it. And she definitely seemed into it, which made him feel something akin to.. pride? Was it pride? He didn't make it but he pleased him, her reaction.

But next came the fight tutorial and when she got nervous, he shifted to show her what to do. "It'll.. be okay. It's a turn based game... and Malis won't move until.. you put in a command... and that means that.. tho-those monsters can't hurt her until.. it's their turn... If.. If it's going too fast, I can show you.. um... how to change the options. This is a tutorial... to.. to show you what to do... you won't die. Promise." His smile was gentle cause he recalled his reaction the first time he played an rpg, so he understood how unsettling it could be for her. "You'll do fine."

You'll do fine, he said. The words reassured Tsetsiliya, and she nodded shakily before returning her eyes to the screen. Just as Jareth said, her little pixellated character was bouncing up and down, awaiting her selection. Her gaze shifted towards the remote, eyes dancing back and forth between the directional keys and the selection keys.

"O-Okay.." She sucked in a small breath and pressed a button. Oh! There was a box on the screen, the menu! Should she attack? Use an item? She checked her items, where a lone potion awaited use. Tsetsiliya looked at the health bar anxiously. Hmm, it seemed she could withstand another attack, since there was more health present than she had thought in her panic. She pressed the O button and scrolled back up to the attack. "H-Here goes.." The poludnica chewed her lower lip as she hit the button and watched the screen for the next bit.

One fell attack from little Malia took out the smallish enemy, and for some reason this greatly pleased her player. She turned to Jareth with a bright smile. "I-I did it!" The ghoul bounced a little from her position on the floor in excitement, before there was another enemy to defeat. Again, she hit the attack, and a small giggle escaped her as he, too, went down. The battle ended and she was redirected on how to use her items, dropped loot and inventory. Her mood brightened considerably with the end-of-battle fanfare. "That is not being so hard.. !" Again she looked to her companion, eyes shining with the accomplishment that he had helped her reach.

Video games weren't very hard at all!

It was a no brainer to him. He highly doubted that she'd have trouble, just needed to know that she could do it. And as she defeated her first enemy, he cheered for her. "That.. that ba-baddie didn't.. st-stand a chance!" A happy chuckle left him at her own happy cheer and bouncing. She was relaxing, which made him feel more at ease as well. She was catching on rather quickly too, he noted as she decided against using her potion immediately and instead, just took out the next enemy in her path. Most newbies would have used it because they were unsure, but since she was quick on her feet (so to speak), he got the feeling she'd do fine when it started getting tougher later on.

Uh... if she.. came over again... to play more.. right. Right. There most likely wouldn't be a second time... as why would she come back? Haha, silly ghost boil. Got ahead of himself there.

"Nope! It's not hard at all! Though... though later, as you.. le-level, there will be tougher.. battles. But you'll be.. be able to buy better weapons and.. and ar-armor along the way. Some-sometimes, you can even fi-find better equipment in chests. But.. um. um.. I can explain that.. later." A sheepish grin curved his lips and he rubbed the back of his neck a bit. "There'll also.. be mo-more people who you can get.. so it won't always just be you... figh-fighting them alone. Once you get into it.. it's really hard to sto-stop playing... well, it.. it is for me, anyway." Finally deciding to stop messing with his hat, he set it on top of a random box and looked at Tsetsiliya curiously, just watching her smile and be happy. "Fun, right?"
PostPosted: Mon Jul 04, 2011 12:40 am

Jareth's encouragement sent Tsetsiliya's spirits soaring. It felt nice to hear those things, to have someone help guide her along, especially after.. but she would not think of it, and with a strong mental shove she pushed the Island away. Instead she held her smile and nodded at the ghost boil's instructions, again repeating them in her mind as though on loop. Luckily for her, the next tutorial was teaching her how to save, and as her character stepped into the circle and the option arose, she looked to Jareth questioningly. "I-I am saving on this empty area.. if that is being okay." She flushed and waited for an answer, before confirming the decision.

And it was then that she noticed the time. Had she been out that long? Had the beginning of this game really been that long? It seemed as though the time had flown!

"O-oh my.. I am thinking I should get back.." Her fingers clasped at her skirt as she stood up, straightening out her clothing as she did so. She had really imposed on the poor boil for so long, especially after he had not only stopped when she had fainted, but carried her back to his room, refreshed her, and made her forget her problems, even if it was for only a short time. But she did not want to impose any longer, as watching a person play a game must be terribly boring.

"T-thank you very much.. for everything. I am hoping you are liking to meet again sometime!" She blushed as the words came out (good Jack, she sounded so forward, asking a boil she had just met to meet again so soon!), but after examining the floor for a moment, she peeked up at Jareth, curiously watching for his reaction. "I-I am having a Groanspring so we are deciding when to play next.. or a skellyphone, also!" She forgot about her skellyphone so easily, to be honest, since she only used it to talk to her parents (something that used to happen on a daily basis, but now was becoming rarer as the school year wore on). But the fact of the matter was that she did want to meet again, and hopefully by that point she could play something a little more interactive for more than just one player. But there was also another incentive she could throw in..

"O-oh! Are you liking sweet things, by chance?" Her hands clasped together as the idea occurred to her. "My grandmother is always making too many skinnamon rolls.. they are very much good, if you are wanting to try. I am happy to bring them over next time, o-or if you are visiting me." She thought about what she had tacked onto the end of her offer - until she procured a system of her own, it would likely be a very dull meeting. And this was also if he wanted to invite her back; she was likely a very dull guest. "O-only if you are wanting to meet again, of course!"

Jareth never saw himself as someone who could make others happy. It just didn't seem quite possible for him to think of himself as a, dare he think it, positive influence. But he couldn't help thinking that it'd be a nice thing to get to see her again. Having her in his room wasn't as life-threatening as he had previously believed, As she was still breathing fine and not complaining about the space being cramped. "Oh yes! Please.. go.. go ahead! I do-don't mind at all! It's.. al-always good to save."

In all truths, time was something he never thought about. He realized that it passed and all that, but it wasn't somethng he thought important enough to process. So when she spoke about it, his head tilted in bafflement. Late? Was it? WIthout thinking, his hand patted his chest and his pants pockets before he looked at a box and snatched up his psp. With a well practiced flick, he noticed the time. Oh... so it was. "I.. I'm so-sorry... I hope I.. didn't ke-keep you from... anything... I was.. enjoying wa-watching you play... I di-didn't notice the time." Agitation and shyness made him run his fingers through his hair but he stood up when she did, watching her curiously. He'd guide her out so she wouldn't trip on anything.

Heat burned through him as she thanked him and he shyly nodded. "You.. you're ve-very welcome!" Meet again? She actually wanted to hang out again? Yes! He hadn't made her disgusted with him! His mental joy was kept to himself, but he was positive he had a happy grin on his face. The thought of having a visiotr.. sounded so nice! "I.. I have a groanspring... um.. I don't ha-have a skellyphone... so gro-groanspring it is, then." Main reason he didn't have one was because those were for contacting people. and who did he have to contact?

"Sweets?" Yes, he realized he was probably looking foolish, echoing what she had said but he nodded. "I do. oooooh... skinnamon rolls... One of my favorite snacks, they a-are! If you.. um.. do-don't mind sha-sharing with me.. I'd... I'd love some!" It took a bit before he heard her whole sentance. VIsit... her? At.. her dorm? She was a demon ghoul... not that he was judgemental of them but... would he be allowed in their very nice and pretty dorm? Was that even legal? "Oh, oh I defin-definitely would like to hang out again! As... as long as you.. don't.. mi-mind hav-having me around.." His fingers twirled over each other nervously as he pouted slightly. "I.. I would ha-hate to trouble you..." And be boring.. or as a chatterbox or something. "Oh.. um... will you be... be okay? I.. I cou-could walk.. with you home... if.. if you'd like..."

Despite not wanting to burden the poor boil for too long, Tsetsiliya thought about how she had run off and forgotten about her minipets. Casimir hadn't been taken for a walk yet, and thinking about the look he had given her before she left now made her feel immensely guilty. Jareth was great company, and rather than feel sad at the departure, she knew it gave her something to look forward to for next time.

"Groanspring it is, then," she replied, nervously tucking a stray hair behind her ear. "A-and you are not keeping me from anything! I am.. running out in a panic earlier, so to say." She said the words lightly, even though they didn't feel too light. A mini breakdown was nothing light. But it was something that the poludnica did not want to mar her good afternoon. Her cheeks were rosy again as she smiled, hoping it might stem some of his anxiety (since his teaching had done wonders for hers).

"T-thank you again, for teaching me. H-having you over is being a pleasure, as you are hosting me so kindly today." It really had done wonders for her, this short reprieve from everything that had drained her. She hoped that someday she could do the same for her new friend. "I am glad you are liking skinnamon rolls, as I am always having plenty to share!" She made a mental note to see if her grandmother would send a few extra in the next scare package (not that she ever really need ask, anyway - her grandmother tended to send those in abundance). She took a moment to let one last gaze sweep over the room while she stood in the doorway, making notes of the different systems. Which one would she go with first? Likely the platform she could play Final Nightmare on.. but she would take care of that at a later time.

... But her desire not to linger and be a bother was finally pushed aside when he had asked to walk her home. Again she blushed, and sufficed at first with a small nod. Tsetsiliya trusted that she wouldn't faint again, but still she didn't want to end this first meeting so abruptly.

"I.. am liking that very much, i-if it is not being too much trouble."

All he could do was nod in agreement. Groanspring. Easy, simple and a place where he needed to learn not to type out his stuttering. Slowly but surely, he'd get it. Hopefully. Despite the fact that he had originally started his day with no clear thought in mind or premeditation, it had turned out amazingly well. Well... now it was amazingly well. Seeing her fall hadn't been good. And when she mentioned panic, it made him wonder if it had anything to do with their trip. Was that why she had been so weary and down in spirits? Had something... bad happened to her?

He had no right to ask, but he sincerely hoped that wasn't the case. First meeting aside, Tsetsiliya was a sweet ghoul. Good things should happen to sweet people, regardless of the fact he knew that didn't always hold true. "Are you.. you.. um.. fee-feeling a bit better now?" If he was good at talking about things outside of video games - and if he knew her better - he may have offered a listening ear to her troubles. But he wasn't, and he didn't, so he kept his silence. That would have been very forward... and best to not do one a first meeting. Best not to scare off the sweet ghoul. Her smile did make him feel more at ease, though not much helped his stuttering sadly. But she could tell he was starting to not feel like a scared rabbit. "You a-are ver-very welcome! It.. it's not of-often I.. I have anyone over... so.. I'm sorry fo-for the clutt-clutter... ne-next time, I'll... try.. to have bet-better refreshments... than wa-water." And he was rather looking forward to having homebaked skinnamon buns... ah, such yummy snacks!

Seeing the ghoul tuck her hair made him recall a few important facts. One; that he had been polite and wasn't rejected. Two; he was about to go outside... he needed his hat. Trying his best not to look as OCD as he felt, he found and replaced his hat onto his head. Shifting it a bit til it was straight enough, he tried not to blush any worse than he was already when she accepted his offer to walk her back. "No-Not at all! Si-Since it.. it is getting ra-rather late... best to mak-make sure you get ho-home safely." Though it was true there couldn't be many dangerous things on the school grounds, with all the odd things that DID occur, best to be on one's guard. And he was still concerned about her since she had fallen previously. Opening the door, he waited for her to head out before he closed the door. "Ne-Never hurts.. to be safe, right?"

"It is being okay, really! I am rather liking your room!" Tsetsiliya nodded, and the statement wasn't a lie. It was a very nice room, with so many interesting things to look at. While it wasn't a room she would live in (as she preferred a lot of open space), it seemed like a fun place to visit. She waved her hand a little to dissuade him from any thought of changing things around. "Please not to be changing for my account! It is being fine as is." The poludnica took one last glance into the room as Jareth shut the door, and for a moment she lingered in the hallway, trying to figure out what to say now. So, she said the first thing that came to her mind, even though it had already come from her mouth so many times that day.

"T-thank you." A small pause, followed by a blush as she remembered he had voiced his concern on her health. "I am feeling much better now." She dipped her head in polite thanks. Off the top of her head, she really couldn't think about very many boils who would have done for her what Jareth did - up to and including walking her back to her dorm. Taking in a breath, she clasped her hands together at her front and started down the hallway. The ghoul kept a check on how fast she was going (as she normally tended to walk at a brisk pace) to stay at Jareth's side. She found the ghost dorms appealed to her sense of aesthetics greatly, since she favored simplicity over the crazy lavishness of the demon dorms. The dorms got another point for being a little warmer than she would have expected.

"Are there being any games you are recommending? P-perhaps I am starting practice on multiple player games, so we are playing together next time." She ventured another smile. "Oh, are you being interested in Scario Kart Club? I am knowing that the two who are running it are very nice.." She had been initially interested in joining mostly because of the fact that she knew Ren and LW, and they were rather nice.. but if Jareth joined, it would only give her more incentive! Besides, she had yet to join a club, and even if it wasn't what her parents would be expecting, at least she wouldn't feel guilty telling them she had joined a club (there was no need to define which club). She nudged open the door at the end of the hallway and blinked against the temperature dip brought in by the breeze.

"A.. oh! I.. I'm glad you d-do!" That ws a massive relief, since he knew (through games) that girls didn't tend to like overly cluttered areas so to know that he hadn't offended was nice. If he was honest about it, he'd have no idea what to do if he had actual space in his room to move. Space made him feel a bit uneasy, though he wasn't clear on exactly why that was. A shy nod was given to show he wouldn't change, even though it was impossible to do so (though he would have at least attempted it if it had been a bother. Attempt being the key word.) Even as his door closed he checked his back pocket for his ever present gameboy that he kept there. Now that he thought about it, it was highly.. irregular for Linkus to be silent like this. Typically, he'd have something rude to say by now... and yet nothing.

Maybe he was asleep. Good. He'd scare Tsetsiliya away, for sure!

His face felt like it was overheating as the ghoul continued to blush softly, which fed into his own it seemed. "I.. I'm glad you are..." He may not have known her when he had come upon her, but he was glad he had heelped out. Completely out of his nature, sure, but he knew he couldn't have just left her there alone like that. No heros ever did in his games.. unless they were jerks. Shoving his hands into his pockets, he followed her out of the ghosts dorm and back out into the open. Not his favorite place to be.. ugh, no! Stop whining! So he forced those thoughts away. Thankfully, she gave him a topic to talk about.

"If.. yo-you're using an Eii, there... Scario Kart is.. is a ve-very good game to start off on. Um.. there's also Sca-Scario Party... any one of those i-is good too..." A shy little laugh left him and he reached up to tug at the collar of his shirt shyly when she said she wanted to play a game with him. That was very exciting for him. "I.. I'd enjoy that ve-very much! Club...? Oh! I'm in.. in that club. I jo-joined it a bit ago, to.. to be honest. I also.. um.. started a General Gamers Club with.. a .. a .boil named Mac?" He still had no clue how that happened. "I'm.. mai-mainly there to he-help out... but that could be a clu-club to jo-join may-maybe? Ma-Mac's the boss, I'm. .. kinda just there, heh." He did his best to stay behind her, as she knew the way to the dorm, though he probably should have guided her out.

The change in temp never really registered to him so he didn't notice it, but he gently pushed it open a bit more and glanced around. Didn't seem like anyone else was around. "You.. you okay?" Was there something wrong?
PostPosted: Tue Jul 05, 2011 12:00 am

"Oh, no, no, it is being fine," Tsetsiliya replied, shaking her head as the two left the ghost dorms. "I am just adjusting to the temperature. My kind are very much preferring warmth, so cooler days such as this are needing time to adjust." She was already feeling a little lethargic but that was likely due to what her day had been like. However she pushed that feeling away for the time being (sleep could wait until she had walked Casimir later; a midday nap never did any good for her anyway) and returned the conversation to the talk of games as she took a slight deviation off the path and headed across the grass (it was more convenient than taking the path around the main offices, certainly).

"There is being a General Gamers Club?" She thought about that for a moment. "Is that being any kind of game?" The idea of such a club perked her curiosity even more; at home, she played all sorts of games with her grandmother whenever they would have free time together (and if her grandmother was between drinks). "I am being decent at card games or puzzles.. perhaps I am stopping by sometime? Are you having club hours set up?" Learning about video games and getting to play the games she grew up with? An exciting prospect to be sure! Still, she made a mental note to speak with Ren or LW some more about Scario Kart; she wanted to get some good practice in. As the poludnica stepped back onto the path, successfully completing the shortcut, the ground sloped upward before them and the demon dorms loomed over all else. She turned to Jareth with an apologetic glance.

"Sorry.. it is being a little bit of a climb.." This was another moment where she disliked her own kind's penchant for putting themselves on a pedestal. It didn't inconvenience her since she liked the exercise, but good Jack did it inconvenience others who might not be used to it.

"Oooh, I see." Well, he could understand the concept for the most part. "Is cooler.. a...a bad thing..? Or is it just.. we-weird?" He was curious about her, though he had no idea what kind of demon she was and he was only sure she was a demon because of how she carried herself. or maybe her aura? There was just something about her made it clear to him. Shifting his hat more to cover the upper half of his face, mainly out of habit, he followed her off the beaten path; trusting that she knew the way.

"No.. it's just a club... f-for people.. who.. who like games to gat-gather and play. Mac seems.. int-interested in um.. competitions... or.. other group ac-activities.... not.. t-too sure about what he's up to... but it's f-fun so far. Hours... hours.. um.. I.. d-dunno. The-there aren't man-many people yet and I.. I hav-haven't talked to Mac in a while.. so.. probably not? but you ca-can sign up iffn you wanna..." Another club member would be awesome, though he figured that Mac woulda been more the club recruiter, not himself. But hey! He was being somewhat useful! Not bad at all, right? "There wi-will be other consoles there too... s-so members ca-can try out a bunch of other games... see what kinds they like." He wasn't sure if it was up to him or the other boil to supply the actual games, but it wasn't like he had issues with bringing his.

Looking up a bit when he noticed the change in scenery, since he tended to stare at the ground quite often while walking, he noticed the slope and then her look. "Ah... n-no, it's fine..." Exercise was a good thing, though.. did ghosts needs to exercise? "Makes for.. in-interesting scenery.. o-or something..." As he trudged up with her, his mind was whirling with thoughts. What types of games would be good to introduce to her? Not fighting games... not yet. Most ghouls weren't into such games... hmmm... "Um.. just.. cu-curious. Do you.. like music? Or.. um play? There are several rhythm based games that.. I've heard ghouls like... they can be tricky at times but their controls are.. si-simple. The tricky part is.. fig-figuring out what actions to send when..."

My, Jareth was so concerned about her need for warmth! Tsetsiliya smiled as she replied, "I am a poludnica. We are thriving in sunlight. Cold is something we are doing alright with, but warmth is being best." As they had continued up the hill, she nodded as Jareth explained to her about the club and the hours. It seems that things were still in the works, but that was something that was alright with her. This gave her time to get better at other video games. She idly wondered if anybody else had come forward about the General Gamers Club, but she supposed she would find out whenever the first meetings took place.

"I am being sure to stop by when time permits," the poludnica answered with a cheerful nod. The hill steepened a little more just before cresting, and finally the path evened out in front of the dormitories. She pushed open the front door and stood aside to let Jareth in. Again, she was listening to his question about music. Rhythm games certainly sounded interesting.

"I am not knowing they are making games based around music," she stated, eyebrows shot up high enough to brush the ends of her bangs. Her hands fiddled with her gold chain belt as they often did when she was thinking. The halls seemed awfully empty at this time of the day, which Tsetsiliya thought a little strange. Her kind normally enjoyed mingling, especially with one another. Then again, this spared Jareth the embarrassment of dealing with a bunch of demons, since the poor boil still seemed a little nervous. "U-Unfortunately I am not being very good at music.. I am not taking very well to piano as a child, or dance." The off-key melodies of her childhood piano recitals played through her head, as well as memories of tripping over her partner's feet during her first deghoultant balls and the sight of progressively empty dance programmes. But it wouldn't do to be such a downer when Jareth was only trying to help. She smiled. "B-But I am being eager to learn!"

This was the truth, luckily - she enjoyed new games, and if it helped better her dance moves then she would undertake it gladly.

But soon enough the duo had arrived in front of a door. The mostly-empty chalkboard on the door read her name, scrawled in a loose cursive, and she bit back the sense of disappointment that their happenstance visit was coming to an end. She fiddled for the key to the lock. "W-w-well, it is seeming w-we are here." In slid the key, the door opening with a satisfying click. Already she could feel the heat from the sun lamps seeping out of the crack.
