Eternal Sailor Europa leapt to her feet, feeling as though she'd gotten her second wind. A quick glance down at herself confirmed the guess. "Oh, yes, Derp! You did super-good! Eternally good, even!" She giggled at her own pun, then turned her attention to the still-writhing lane markers. They looked worse for the wear, though - a few more hits might take them out entirely.
"Time to see what I can do!" she called over to Vin, clenching and unclenching her gloved hands a few times. It was always a bit of a trick for her to get the hang of new attacks - you never knew what they were going to do right out of the gate, or even what they might be called.
Europa put one hand to her forehead in concentration, and pointed the other towards the youma. "EUROPA DEEP OCEAN TERROR," she exclaimed, momentarily surprised by the words that sounded from her own mouth.
For a moment, the youma were still. They seemed... confused, if lane dividers could be confused. And then they turned against each other, batting against each other with their elongated bodies.
Europa clapped her hands together with glee. She wasn't exactly sure what her new attack did, but it sure seemed useful!

Vin lifted one leg up to gingerly touch the spot where pavement had scuffed through his hose and the top couple layers of skin, watching as the two adversaries turned on each other. The scrape hurt, but he had gotten worse falling off a bike. And it seemed like things had turned in their favor - a smile spread across his features in spite of the pain as he realized what had happened to Europa.
"So you get your promotions just like that?" he asked, laughing a little; her joy was contagious. Likely through hard work and diligence, though; the Senshi of Wine did not wait for a reply before jumping in again to try to offer a contribution to the fight.
The dividers tangled with each other, reducing their ability to strike outwards at anything else. Vindemiatrix jumped into battle again, launching a flying kick at where they were starting to knot together. He was not sure if the plastic felt pain, but if it did, he hoped he could get both snakes good this way.

"Just like that!" agreed Europa as she watched Derp scamper off into the night. Once she was sure that the little cat-in-the-hat had escaped to safety, she turned once again to the youma. They'd done a good job at tying themselves up and were finally feeling the effects of Vin's attacks, which was good, even if it looked like whatever she'd done was wearing off.
The senshi of the deep charged in after her friend, aiming a kick at the place where the creatures had wrapped around each other - two birds with one stone, maybe? Her foot connected and she did a neat flip away, bounced off the shallow end, and ran towards them again.
She felt electric. Power-ups were awesome.
"Just a bit more, Vin!" she yelled.

"Holding off for me?" the boy shouted, grinning as he stood on one foot and lashed out several kicks with the other. This whole senshi thing went all the way up to Eternal, and that was how it worked, just a flash of power from a cat! This really was like the comics as far as that went, at least - especially since Europa's power-up had come at a moment of great need.
It made him feel good. Help would be there for him when he needed it. Vin was never alone.
"Don't mind if I do, then!" what powers would he gain in the future? He shook his head to get his blonde fringe out of his eyes again, and switched feet to kick once at the youma. Then he drew back one fist for a punch right at the heart of where the things knotted together. Maybe he had been a bit less than prepared when the things had snared Super Europa, but he could certainly deal back the punishment now.

The lane divider youma had fought valiantly, but under the combined firepower of both senshi, they finally crumpled. A well-aimed punch from Vin did them in, and the plastic snakes toppled forward, slammed into the pool bottom, and crumpled into to long lines of black ash.
"Nice going!" cheered Europa, running over to join her new friend in surveying the damage. The pool didn't look cracked, so it would just be a matter of cleaning up the youma dust.
She raised a hand for a high-five. "That was great," she said happily. "We should patrol together more often, we make a good team!"

Still laughing a little to vent the giddy rush from the conclusion of the battle, the senshi of Wine jogged up to return the high five. Feeling the monster turn to ash under the force of his fists had only lent to his excitement, and his confidence, too. Maybe this was not all that bad all the time. He would lose some battles but he could also definitely win them, apparently!
And he had made a new friend.
"Thanks, you were great, too!" he agreed, then spread his hands and leaned back as he appraised Europa's new outfit. "All the way up to Eternal Sailor, just like that? That's how it works, with a power up from your cat?" Vin grinned. "Congratulations, in any case."

Europa smiled, preening under the attention as she brushed some stray dust from her ruffles. "Derp's not my cat," she said, reluctant to claim ownership over a sentient creature but also because Derp most certainly wasn't her cat.
"But, yes, thank you," she added, blushing as she looked down at herself. It looked... fancy. There was the word. A moment more was spent lingering on the details of her upgraded uniform, and then Europa clapped her hands together in a 'Let's go!' sort of clap.
"Well! We'd better head off before the cops come to see what all the fuss was, huh?" she asked.

"Oh." Vin offered a bit of an awkward smile. "I meant like, she awakened you, right?" With all the senshi that were apparently running all over the city, he had figured there were plenty of cats, as well.
But getting out before the cops showed up sounded like a good enough idea.
"Yeah, let's go," he agreed. Then he suddenly remembered his senshi phone, and pulled it out to scan his new friend. "Call me if you ever need help, I guess?" he offered. "If a regular senshi can still help an Eternal? Well. I guess there's only one way to get better." Vindemiatrix shrugged, then hopped up onto the edge of the pool. "Lovely meeting you, though, and I'll see you later, Eternal Sailor Europa!"
