She tried to like him. She would never admit it, but there were times she fancied him. He was strong, aggressive, spoke his mind -- all of these were things that Sitaki could appreciate.
But he was ... such a jerk.
She shook her head and watched him climb down the path.
"You can have your bed back," she hollered after him, still fuming. "I'd rather jump off the weeping lion than sleep next to you again!"

He groaned and turned. "You can't," he said with a sigh. "Because everyone will know that you're my slave and try and use you against me." And they could, he realized. "Stay with me. You can have the bed," he said reluctantly.

Sitaki was having none of it. No, her feelings were hurt, she'd gone into this whole situation trying to regain SOME control but Jabari couldn't let that happen, now could he? Nooooo. Stupid a**.
"No. I'm not going to." Hmph. She wanted some time to pout.
Then again, maybe if he asked nicely...

Dammit, he really didn't want to ask her again. He let out a sigh. "I'll toss in a pelt for the bed," he said reluctantly. But, he thought, it did give him a reason to go see Iaeratu again!
He was so pathetic.

Sitaki snorted, rose to her feet and promptly turned her back on Jabari before sitting down again. With a loud sniff she turned her nose up and immediately began ignoring him.
A pelt, hah. She knew exactly which lioness he would have to visit for that.

He gave her an irritated glare. "Now you're just being a brat," he said bluntly. "What is it you want in exchange for me saving you from threats to your life?" he demanded bluntly.

She was not being a brat! Sitaki's cheeks puffed out as she mulled that over, choosing to curl into a ball instead of prolonging the fight they'd found themselves in. They always fought, and frankly, she tired of it.
"Forget it," she mumbled against her forepaws. The conversation was over.
She was finished. With him, his lies, his mouth.
She was finished with this place.
