The fact he responded with food still in his mouth almost made her scowl. Gross... At least have some decency, but nooo. He was an idiot anyway, so she supposed she couldn't expect much of this simpleton. Oh well. "I only purposefully piss off people that pissed me off first. You did that by being ignorant." And not knowing how to order a freaking sandwich. On that note...

"What, did your parents make everything for you and you never had to learn how to make your own sandwiches, or even learn what type of bread they were using?" Ugh, now he was a spoiled pretentious ignorant imbecile. Those were the worst kind. Well, she wasn't sure if they really were or not, but they were the worst kind at least for the time being, until something else pissed her off more. She lifted the bottled water to her lips for a brief sip before replying, quirking a brow. "It's not a problem for me, but it apparently is a huge one for you if you can't even order a simple sandwich."

"How the hell did I piss you off? You're the one who who grabbed my shoulder," he reminded with a roll of his eyes. What, was she crazy as well as weird and short-tempered? Maybe he should have sat outside after all... Dirty pants couldn't be but so much worse than putting up with this abrasive woman, right?

Her guess elicited a brief laugh, followed by a contemptuous frown. "Don't go making assumptions about people's lives," he warned. As if his parents ever did anything but lecture. "Half the time they didn't even want me in the kitchen. If I came in they'd just ask what I wanted and shoo me back out." He punctuated his statement with another angry bite from his sandwich. Damn it, he came to this place so he wouldn't have to think about home anymore. He was beginning to think someone sent this frigid chick to annoy him into giving up and returning.

"All right then, genius, tell me how you already know how to do something the first time you ever do it, huh?" he accused with an expectant gesture of his hand.

"Since you can't seem to figure things out unless they're pointed out for you," it seemed like this kid needed everything done for him, not just sandwiches, "it's because you didn't know how to order a simple sandwich, held up the line for probably five times as long as anyone else, if not longer, and probably made that poor woman want to quit then and there." Or at least go demand a raise or a promotion or something. Arceus, she was so glad she didn't have a job like that.

"What about the other half of the time?" She asked innocently, taking another small bite of her sandwich. Such a statement as his was usually made to explain a situation and 'half the time' usually meant 'all the time,' but she was damn well going to bother this idiot until he left. It was her table, and she was definitely not in a good mood. Not at all. "Easy," she said with a dismissive wave of her hand, as if the question was not only child's play, it didn't need any thought at all. "I watch someone else before I do it. You had plenty of opportunities to watch the people ahead of you in line order their own sandwiches, but as you told me just a minute ago, you weren't paying attention." So whose fault was it? If the answer wasn't obvious, he had to be brain dead. There was no other explanation for him being that stupid.

"Tch, that's not my fault," he countered, tossing his head to a side. "I told her from the start I didn't care what she put on the damn sandwich. She was the one making it difficult." Honestly, was it so hard? What was she paid to do if not make sandwiches when someone asked for sandwiches? Did she have so little imagination that she couldn't decide for herself what to use if someone said anything was fine? And how was it that any of this was Luke's fault? That baseless accusation was really pissing him off.

"The other half of the time the kitchen was unstaffed," Luke replied with a tone that implied a sneering 'dumbass' at the end of his words. At her response to his accusation, he huffed. "Why are you getting all pissed about a sandwich anyway? You got the damn thing anyway, didn't you? Not like I smacked it out of your hands or something." Not like he didn't didn't really really want to do just that. Seriously, damn.

"She was doing her job" she countered evenly, taking another small bite of her sandwich. Mmm... Concentrate on the delicious food, not on the stupid. "You're supposed to tell her exactly what type of bread you want, and what you want in it. Turkey, roast beef, tuna, lettuce, tomatoes - olives - if you do that it goes much faster and with a great deal less frustration for both sides." Seriously, how stupid was this kid that he didn't understand that? You couldn't just go into a sandwich shop and tell them 'make me a sandwich' and expect them to make him the exact sort of sandwich he wanted. Arceus, what a flaming idiot.

Ohh, so now he was some sort of rich pretentious imbecile, was he? He probably had servants and maids and... where the hell was he from, anyway? Who had servants in this day and age? Weird.. "Pardon me for not knowing you had people that weren't your parents to do every little thing for you," she said with a heavy dose of sarcasm and another roll of her eyes. "But it seems to me that the perfect time to make yourself a sandwich would be when it was unstaffed, so there was no one there to shoo you out." The fact he never took advantage of such opportunities said a lot about his character. Not that his attitude thus far hadn't done a great deal of talking.. "I don't know what you mean," she said with a shrug, idly flicking a random crumb off the table. "I think you're the only one that's pissed off at the moment." And she was enjoying it immensely.

"She could have just explained that herself, then," he muttered. Seriously, it only took what? Five seconds? She could have just explained it and Luke could have randomly picked something. What the hell kind of name was 'pumpernickel' anyway? He had been starting to doubt she was even talking about bread...

"You think I wanted them to?!" A rather loud 'humph' concluded his rant before it began. He could have continued t say that the kitchen was only unstaffed when meal times were over, thus meaning that he wasn't hungry anymore, but a rather large contributing factor to his anger was the fact that they were discussing his home to begin with. "Whatever," he dismissed. "I'm not going back, so I'll figure things out myself." Since apparently people in general were adverse to explaining things in a way he could understand. You couldn't teach someone to drive a car by saying 'go drive the car.' Did no one get that but him?

"People generally assume you know what you're doing," or in other words, why the hell would they bother explaining something to someone who already knew what to do, "unless you, you know, ask. Or maybe tell them you don't know what you're doing, or that you haven't done that before." Though, for some reason, she couldn't really imagine this kid admitting that he didn't know something. Idiot.

Well. It seemed he at least wasn't too thrilled to have had absolutely everything done for him, but that hardly mattered to her. The point remained that he didn't know a thing about sandwiches. Not only was this frustrating - not anymore, of course - it was amusing. "Mm. Good luck with that," she snorted lightly, taking another bite of her sandwich. She couldn't see this kid getting very far, quite honestly.

"Hmph, whatever. It would have been fine if she just listened in the first place," he maintained. Seriously, he'd said it enough times. Anything's fine, anything's fine. So what if he disliked olives? He'd taken them off and was almost through with the damn sandwich now, and he'd live to tell the tale. And oh what a tale it was.

"Damn obnoxious..." He interrupted his own muttering, drawing a luxury ball from his waist and pressing the release to bring the teal and white Flareon to his side.

"Fieuuu!" Mieu sure was getting to spend a lot of time outside of his pokeball recently! And he was getting to spend a lot of time with his master too! And in new and strange places! He gazed up at the redheaded human, tail waving.

"Here, eat this," Luke said, taking the little pile of olives he had set aside on the sandwich wrapping and setting it on the floor for the fire-type to access.

"Fa fieu!" Master was giving him food! This was a special day! Mieu gave a bright smile in thanks and turned his attention to the offering.

Claire simply rolled her violet eyes at his comments and took another bite of her sandwich. Mmmm.. Concentrate on the food, not the stupid. ...what was he doing now? Oh. Ohh, that was a pretty Flareon.. it seemed quite happy though, plus it was her day off.

She studied the 'eon for a few moments before she slipped her hand down to her waist. She didn't unclip any pokeballs, but she did press the release on one - hopefully the right one.. Aha, yep; the white light that suddenly appeared quickly morphed into the shape of a unique little Glaceon, who stretched leisurely before spotting the other 'veelution. "Laaa!" She churred, quickly turning to Mieu and taking a half-play stance.
