Rakshi looked a bit relieved when she said her brother was shy, it's not like Rakshi wasn't shy, he just knew how to hide it better than other stallions, since he was raised with two sisters, his mother, his grandmother, a lazy father, and a nut case grandfather. And he had to hand his capability for fighting to his surrogate father. Other than that, Rakshi would be holed up somewhere away from women altogether.
"Ah, but I'm speaking of a place not so overrun with others. A nice place where a stream gently breaks through the ground and the trees part as if to cradle the moonlight, just to illuminate what has wandered up to take a drink." He knew a prefect spot, but the reason it was perfect was because it was hard to find even in daylight. His eyes widened when she asked if she'd said something odd, "Why do you ask, M'lady?" He realized as soon as the words left his mouth that he'd been staring...again. "Ah...if you're referring to my...incompetent staring I do apologize, I simply have never seen something a lovely as yourself. My eclectic collection of friends, most of them women sadly, pale in comparison to your radiance." He smiled a bit, trying to maintain a bit more decor. As his grandfather always said, appreciated, don't stare. Always speak fluently when chatting with a female, though he never said anything about females as lovely as Briallan existing.
He bowed, "Again...apologies for staring, I am simply not used to creatures as lovely as yourself, truly existing." It was the truth, and not even a pick up line, but it was rather cheesy.

She gave a light chuckle. "Ah, I see.. I wasn't sure if maybe I had something stuck on my face or if a rose had wandered down without my feeling it. Sadly the majority of my friends happen to be male and as goofy as they are I'm not use to others..... acknowledging my fair looks." She wasn't conceited or anything.. she just figured she took after her mother in the looks with the pale dainty slim body line of her father. "One would think that you'd have a slew of females swooning over you and following your every step though as you're quite handsome yourself." She smiled returning his compliment. " Your.. thingy.. it's interesting... does it keep you warm? Or keep you safe?" She motioned at his scarf around his neck, wondering if it served the same purpose as Boris' boa did. That warm tickly fluffy cuddly thing how Boris seemed to adore it and with good reasoning.. it was rather nice and warm when the sun beat on it during the winter.

Rakshi blinked a couple times, then smirked at her compliment, "They might be swooning, but my sister Tian would chase off anyone who thought they could have designs on me." He smiled at his somewhat crazy, but adorable sibling, "She's the nut that has informed me I have too many female friends, and mares are likely going to pin me for...well leaning towards stallions over mares." He gave her a long suffering sort of look, "Which I strongly do not have any attraction to other stallions, or bucks or anything male for that matter." He snorted a bit at the thought, granted, most would think him a pretty boy, but he had no interest in that kind of relationship with males, friends yes, lifepartner no.
He looked down at his scarf, and smiled a bit oddly, "It offers a little warmth, and a little protection from the sun, it also is a momento...or rather something I was given by my grandfather when I came of the age to go adventuring on my own." He gave her an odd sort of smile, "He and my grandmother enjoy giving things like this to their grandbabies. My cousins got a few random things as well. As did my sisters and I, it's a bit of a tradition I guess." He smiled cheekily, "And it has a bit of a protective charm on it, I would figure...given my mother and my grandparents."

"Oh I see" She chuckled some. "So Tian.. she sounds rather... feisty... Are all the girls in your family that way? Or is it that she's just attached to you and wants to make sure you're happy?" She guessed that maybe it was one of those sibling things where the siblings just had to test out their potential... future 'relatives'.. Then again such things she'd only heard about from others. " Well.. it looks fairly nice.. even if it does have a protective charm.. It's kind of like my roses I guess.. Both my siblings and I got them from my mother I think it was her way to make sure we were blessed with happiness.. " She gave a small shrug. "We got them when we became young adults." She gave another light laugh.

He grinned, "Feisty is a nice way of putting it, Prot the dragon does not take kindly to interlopers who she deems unworthy." He chuckled a bit, "Sorry, My sister played as a dragon, because my grandfather always told her stories about them, to this day I still poke a bit at her for Prot." He smirked, the roses in her mane really complimented her coat, and only caused her to be much more eye catching in his mind, "Isn't that the way it always is, you spend your life as a Foal, or rather a fawn in your case, and all of a sudden your an adult and you end up with a few things passed on from your parents."
He leaned his neck back, "I have this rainbowish...marking on my underside, from my father, as well as my white coat from him, and these curls." He smirked a bit, "And my eyes are paler than my father's, and certainly not the color of my mother's." He held up one of his front hooves, "This and my mane's color are all Mom....well..mom and Grandmother." He was babbling a little, "My sister Tian looks more like dad with the super curly mane and tail, and markings, but she's got mom's coat color, same with my other sister Leila...Leila turned out to have green hair though. A real mix of mom and dad." He realized he was rambling, "Ah..sorry...I don't talk to much of anyone when I'm out on my own...so meeting a friendly and pretty mare just kind of...well..." He looked down and shifted a bit, his long blue tail flicking nervously. Really, where had all his confidence gone?

She nodded and inspected his rainbow like marking under his neck. "Oh I see.. so your father was white with rainbow markings? My father was white.. It's why I'm so pale.. He has black horns though and a black and white blanket.. he also has a black necklace... The blush markings are all my mother.. that and the fading on my legs.. it's about the only touch her genes seem to have made on me... My brother.. he's like the odd ball of the bunch.. He's got a blue coat and our white mane and tails though he shows some of the darker red tones from my mother.. My sister Florian looks like the most like our mother though.. all her colorings." She smiled not minding that he'd been rambling. it was nice to have some one to talk to. "It's alright.. I don't mind.. I some times ramble too.." She grinned a bit but blushed slightly at his compliment..

He smiled a bit hearing about her family, she seemed to come from a very well brought up background, and caring seemingly. A good point she didn't mind the rambling he was doing. which was nice. And the blush on her cheeks was adorable, made all the better because his words had caused it. "Oh, are your father and mother still together?" It was an almost idle question as he often wondered about others, his family not nearly as unique with the fact that his parents were best friends, but not lifemates.
He wasn't terribly perturbed about it, his father was a lazy bum, and his mother was a warrior. It was something that worked out for the most part, and since it had been a young accident, they hadn't held it against one another. Though Rakshi didn't want to make that kind of misstep with a mare, which is why he'd avoided many of his female friends after he'd reached adulthood.

"Yeah... I think.. they had started out as strangers in the night.. and when mother found she was with foal she sought out father to let him know. I don't think she really expected him to stick around and some how while they were together waiting till we were brought into the world.. they fell in love and have stayed together since." She smiled some at the thought. She wondered though if things had been different what sort of difference it would have made on her own up bringing. Shoving the thought aside, she smiled again. "How about your parents? They still together or did they split up?"

He couldn't help blinking a little as she asked about his parents, "Ah...well.." there wasn't a way to explain other than to simply state what had happened, "My parents were best friends, and decided that they were going to find out what the whole mating thing was about..." He gave a bit of an odd laugh, "My mother ended up with foals, we got to know both our father and our mother, but they're best friends, not in love with one another at all. I'm happy they could stay friends with one another, but it's a little odd when your parents are best friends who...mated." He gave her a bit of a lopsided smile, "Probably why I avoided all my friends from my younger days...they were all girls and I did not want to do something like my parents."
He shrugged a bit, "I guess I'm a bit old fashioned, wanting to have a relationship like my grandparents. They've been together for a long time, and I'd like to have something like that, but not sure I'll ever run into a mare who wants that kind of relationship." He smirked, "most mares and stallions seem to want a one night stand and that's it, no one wants to build up a real honest partnership with someone, and fall in love, take their time and raise a real family." He found that he was rambling his innermost thoughts to a complete stranger, and he flushed deeply, "I'm sorry, Briallan....I seem to be catching up on my quota for chattering away like some old nag." He gave a bit of an awkward laugh, trying to figure out something that wasn't a deep dark rambling from the recesses of his mind.

" I see... I guess that would make it a bit awkward.. Especially if you want to have a real family later on.." She though a moment and nodded. " But I understand the wish to want to build up a relationship, raise a family and all that.. really I don't see why so many of the others out there are just in it for a tumble.." She gave a slight blush. " Ive never wanted to do more than have the kind of happy family that my mother and father provided for myself and my siblings.." She gave an honest smile and glanced out over the lands. " But the closest I've come to being wanted by another was for a meal.. or just some trophy... I'm a great friend and listener full of bizarre ideas of winged soquili that resemble butterflies or water soquili but beyond that... my only other interactions with males were something to be flirted with, and mind you the flattery was most insincere from that one... and the other... well.. lets just say my scar is my battle trophy for being eye catching in the sense that some one though I might make a god meal..." She blinked a moment. " Er.. I'm sorry if this all just came out..." Her eyes glanced at the ground. " I some times ramble and it doesn't make much sense at all. I guess it's why i sneak off for quiet time..." She gave a nervous chuckle... Why was she getting so flustered, loosing her cool all of a sudden?

There was a bit of a surge of wanting to flatten whoever had marred the female in front of him, because it was a travesty in his mind that her flesh was marred because someone wanted to make a meal out of her. He smiled, "Most stallions are all about getting as many mares as they can, and there are so many lack luster males out there who think they can be something when they're not."
Now to her comments about the different types of soquili out there, "Oh, I've met water soquili. Well, I met a seathi when I was young, and then a supposed friend of my mother's has a son who is part butterfly...least that's what I've heard, not too sure as that mare is...rather untrustworthy and a trickster." He grinned broadly, "I really did meet a little seathi though, they're like the little usdia ponies we have around here, though I've only seen those at a distance." He was excited at being able to share his knowledge of the world with her, "I'm sure you'll get to meet all types." His tail flicked, "And if you want a traveling partner, I'd be more than willing to take you with me!" He hadn't realized in his excitement, he'd offered to take Briallan on his trek, "Er...that's if you wanted to go traveling and not have to worry about someone trying to make off with you again." He looked a bit sheepish, his excitement getting to him and making him ramble things he might have been better off not saying.
"Or I can just tell you about my experience with a Seathi, and what the little foal looked like." He hoped that would be enough to recover from his earlier proclamation about being her travel partner should she need one.

"Oh I've met a kelpie before.. the untruthful flirt tried to flatter me good.. unlucky for him I was on to him.. it was rather an awkward moment....." She snickered some. "But a sethie?? tiny like an usdia hmm?? That sounds adorable!" She giggled, her tail waggling behind her like a giddy fawn. "I'd like to travel some day.. get out and see the sorts of things my sister's seen.. like my mother did before she settled down to raise us. Maybe I'll accept you offer." Before she'd given much thought to her actions, she'd blurted out an acceptance of his offer to take hr along and protect her. "That is. if you really don't mind and wouldn't find me too much a bother..."

He smiled, "I've yet to run into a kelpie, but the Seathi are just as colorful, if not more so, and have two legs in the front and a curled tail in the back. The little foal I met was really brightly colored." His smiled turned into an out and out grin as she said she might take him up on his offer, as long as she wasn't a bother.
"I would not mind taking you along with me at all. I travel alone because..well, traveling with my sisters just seemed odd...and traveling with mom is right out, and my father doesn't travel." He grinned a bit, "So, having someone along to travel would be more fun for me"

Her ears perked up some. "Wow.. I mean... I'll try not to get under foot too much.. I've always wanted to travel.. but after well.. you know.. I just didn't feel comfortable..." She offered a small smile. "No doubt.. I'd have to let my family know if I was leaving.. Else I fear my mother may worry rove my whereabouts." She looked over her shoulder as she thought. "Alright... I think I'll do it.. I can't very well continue to fear what's out beyond my home can I?"

Wait...did that mean...NOW? Rakshi's heart rate went skittering up a few beats then somersaulted around before settling a little, "It's always best to conquer one's fear."
Though he spoke with confidence his inner thoughts were running wildly at the idea of getting a chance to spend so much time with this lovely doe...who was simply too beautiful to not shower with compliments. A stray thought made him blush, No no no. She obviously doesn't see me THAT way, so you are a gentleman to escort the lady around, not some roving dog in heat." He admonished himself mentally.
