He had been trying to get away from her so he could get the chance to hit her with mud for a change. He was just about to get away when he looked back at her. His eyes widened when he saw her tail come at him. All he could do was close his eyes so that the mud wouldn't get in them. He comically glared at her.
"You think this is funny?" He growled as he scooped up some mud and went to hurl it at her. Of course he had missed and left him open to get tackled into the mud. "Ah!" he growled. "Get off... Im not the one who started this you were!" He struggled and finally managed to get her off. "Ha!"

"You are so grouchy....I was just trying to have a bit of fun...." She rolled her eyes as she shook off all of the mud she could manage. "Whatever." Lauren looked away, "Have a nice life grouchy butt." She turned and marched off toward the river. She was planning to rinse herself off then head home to see her friend. She shared a den with another female, her best friend, Lizzie a ways from the forest. And she was sure that her friend was starting to wonder where she was.

Gabe didn't say anything as he turned away and started to walk off. He shook his legs trying to get the mud off of them. It was hard trying to get it off. The mud was partly dry so it was sticking pretty good to his paws. He was going to have to get washed up before he headed home.
"Tech... great..." He looked around looking for his cousin. "My day couldn't possibly get any worse..."

Sighing heavily she wasn't paying much attention to where she was going, and unfortunately for her, it just wasn't her day. Before she knew it she was falling, "Ahhhhh!" She screamed as she plunged into darkness then was suddenly brought to an abrupt halt as she hit the very solid ground. "Mm...O....owwww...." She groaned in pain as she rolled her to her side. She wiggled her paws and stretched slightly to see if anything had been broken during the fall, but it didn't appear so was that misfortunate.

Of course he had only gotten a few feet when he heard the chilling scream of a female. He stopped with a rather surprised look on his face as his ear moved in the direction the scream was coming from. His eyes then narrowed into a comical glare as he realized who the voice belonged too. He closed his eyes as he let out a sigh and his ears fell. Damn his heart. He couldn't just leave a female in trouble... he wouldn't be able to live with it. Especially if she got hurt.
"Damn..." He turned and headed back in the direction he had come from. He then stopped in front of a rather large hole and looked down it. There at the bottom was the female he had just had met. "You really do have horrible luck don't you..."

Lauren whined rather then look up. It was embarrassing enough having fallen down the hole but to put fuel on the fire the only fox that came to help her was the one that had so rudely spurned her earlier. It was just too much for her. All Lauren wanted to do was curl into a ball and weep. Her foot was throbbing horribly, and she was afraid that it was swelling. She didn't know much about healing but she knew enough that swelling was a bad thing. She must have sprained her paw in the fall down, and that being the case there wasn't a chance in hell that she was getting out without assistance.
But that didn't mean she was going to ask the pompous idiot for help. Another pitiful whine escaped her muzzle.

Gabe sighed as he looked down at her from the top of the hole. He could tell she was hurt and that made him feel bad. He hadn't meant for her to get hurt and he knew it wasn't his fault but still. She had walked into the hole after they had exchanged unpleasant words. So in a way he felt like it was his fault. Looking around he knew he had to get her out before something else went wrong. He looked down at her.
"Hey... can you move at all?" he needed to know so that he could think of a way to get her out. "If you want to get out of there I need to know. or if you like your welcome to wait down there till another comes by. Lets face it though... that could take a wile."

Lauren looked up at him and knew that he was right. "My paw hurts....I...I can't step on it...." She whined as she laid on the ground and placed her head on her other paw. "Please help me....I know that we left things...unpleasant....But I didn't mean any of it. You just upset me is all, and when I am upset I can say heartless things. I'm sorry....I...I really am..." She looked up at him pitifully.

He sighed as he looked down at her. He didn't expect her just to give up cause of a small injoury. She conpleetly went from being a stuck up vexin who said what was on her mind to a pothedic whiner. It was sad and he was getting rather tired of her whining.
"Well you cant just sit there and do nothing. It doesn't work that way." He looked down at her. "I cant come down there to help you other wise I'll just get stuck like you. I can lower a vine down to you but ull have to climb your way out wile I pull. If you cant do that then I cant help you."

Lauren glared up at him, "I didn't say I was going to sit here and do anything. I was apologizing you...Oooo...." She bit her tongue before she said something stupid that would end up with him not helping her out. "Fine get the damn vine and I will pull myself out....and then I can leave and never see your arrogant face again." She muttered the last part to herself.

"You were whining and saying you cant use your paw..." he corrected her. "To me it sounded like you were just going to give up." He shook his head. "I was just letting you know that if you take that course of action there was no way I would be able to help you... as for your apology..." He thought about it. "I'm not quite sure if you meant it or you were just saying it so I would help you out... if thats the case I just want to inform you im not a heartless a**... I wouldn't have just left you here." With that he turned to go fetch the vine.

"You are too a heartless a**!" She shouted up to him, "And I take back my apology." Lauren snarled as she limped over to the side of the hole and started to try an climb it. Searing pain shot through her pain, but she gritted her teeth against it and tried to force herself higher. Who knew if the jackass was going to stay true to his word and come back with a vine, and she sure as hell wasn't going to wait around to find out for sure.

Gabe could care less what she called him. He just ignored her as he looked around. There were some trees a ways off that seemed to be carrying some vines. He headed over and managed to get a nice long one. He had a little difficulty of cause but managed to get it down. Once down he walked back over to the hole and looked in. He was quite surprised to see that she was trying to climb her way out.
"What are you doing you idiot?"

"What does it look like I'm doing....I'm trying to get higher." Lauren comically glared up at him, "How was I supposed to know if you were coming back or not?" She stopped and simply shot him a look, "Well are you going to toss down that vine or not?" Her tail flicked annoyed behind her as she stared at him. He was looking down at her not moving, and it was starting to tick her off. Toss down the blasted vine or leave! She screamed in her head.

"Well that was obvious... I just didn't think you were stupid enough to do it." He glared right back. "And I told you I wasent like that." He scoffed. "I had no intention of leaving you here... but keep acting like that and I will..." His glare hardened. "And I mean I WILL..." Of course after a few more moments of glaring at etch other he finally flicked the vine next to him that was tied off to a near bolder into the hole. He almost snickered when it landed on her head.
