Alex nodded and found a spot a bit farther than the normal spot she normally kicked. She ran the same pace she did before this time her wings helping her against the wind, once she got close to the ball she remembered to keep her leg straight and kicked the ball in the center of it. She watched the ball fly through the air and waited for it to go in.

The ball went in because of Pierre not being in the goal box. The kick better this time. "Much better." Angel commented. "I would recommend practicing that. Practice makes perfect." He added with a smile. "So what else can you show me?" He questioned.

Alex flew to get the ball then flew to the coach. "Yea i will practice that and well I am a fast runner." Alex said twirling the ball on her finger like a basketball.

Angel thought about how many laps he wanted her to take. "Please do five laps around the field." Angel said as he put the balls down. "Haikimaru and Pierre. Both of you will do twenty." The coach commented.

Alex smiled and knew this was her thing. She did not start out in a jog she ran as fast as lightening and already flew past the coach for lap number one.

Pierre and Haikimaru weren't going for fast. They were more doing it for stamina. Angel knew the difference between the new girl and his already current players was the one step above. He kept tally marks of each time they pasted by him.

Kai showed up a tad bit later than his usual. The team had grown a bit since he last looked, at least one additional member was here, and another goalie was soon to be added. They could then start doing larger games using both ends of the field.
There wasn't much to see yet, though. Just a free form practice. He watched the newest member, Alex, take off in a flat out sprint around the field. Striker quality. She was quick, her wings created drag, sure, but, she wasn't letting it stop her. Five laps wasn't too much, about three fourths a mile. A striker needed to sprint those daily, and often.
He walked next to Angel, and watched them go by. "Seems practice is going well." He commented. Alex was quick. He needed that speed, mostly because they needed to get around defenders, quick. Offsides was a major downer, especially when someone got a nice breakaway. He needed Alex's sprint, but, he also needed her to have some stamina. Anyone could make a good shot with practice. It wasn't too tiring to take shot after shot after shot. Getting someone trained with both speed and stamina, that was the challenging spot. "You wouldn't mind if I led the team in a nice, thirty minute jog around the school, would you, Angel?"

Alex was done with her five laps and saw the coach and another person. She jogged over and greeted him. "Hello, my name is Alex." Alex said holding out her hand.

Angel listened to the boys comment. As the head coach he was taking good care to take notes on the students. "I don't mind at all. It would be good practice for Pierre and Haikimaru. It would also weed out any people who can't handle the pain." Angel had been a soccer coach since his kids were young. He wanted only the best.

Alex over herd and knew it was her time to shine but did not want to sprint. She glanced over at Pierre and Haikimaru then jogged over to them and joined.

He nodded and got an evil smirk for a split second. He knew all the places to weed out the weaker players. Running on the beach helped with footing, there were quite a few places with steep hills to run on, too. "Take a break Coach, I'll handle it for a bit."
He turned to Alex, and smiled. "Hey." He greeted. "I'm Malachi Valentine... but call me Kai. I'm current Team Captain of the soccer team." He shook her hand and turned to the players on the field.
He cleared his throat loudly, and shouted at them, "Everyone! I need your attention!" The group of students turned to face him and he grinned. "Put your partners balls down and huddle around me!"
The team did so, and Kai went into a brief explanation of what was to be done. "Alright, veteran players, you all know what I'm getting ready to do. Newbies, welcome to the Co-ed soccer team. We may not be much, and here in thirty minutes, we'll probably be smaller than we started with." A few snickered, knowing full well what was about to happen. "But, we can't have a bunch of unmotivated players on the field. So, everyone form behind me..." He took a step ahead, and picked up a whistle.
"When I blow this whistle I want everyone to follow behind me. We're going for a wonderful, thirty minute jog to tour the campus."

Angel smiled and wondered if he had time for a beer before the students started to come back. Pierre and Haikimaru listened to what there captain wanted them to do. They were ready for anything and formed a line behind their captain. They were ready to go.

Kai looked behind him and smirked evilly. The soccer field was where he got most of his more... evil sided self taken care of. It was always for the bettering of the team, but, Kai was rather... cruel with his ways. "Alright. You don't gotta keep close to me, but you can't lose sight of me. Those who wish to quit may do so at any time during the jog." He put the whistle in his mouth, "Those who make tough it out, congratz, I will have a use for you."
Kai turned around, readying himself. "Aaaaand..." he blue the whistle, and took off at a slow pace, one everyone could keep up with. Throughout the jog he'd accelerate. Slowly, but definitely surely. With any luck, he'd weed out those with no motivation, and be back in time to do a small, half field game. This was also a rite of passage for all new players. Those who made it, became part of the bond the players shared. This jog also created bonds, giving new players who struggled someone to look up to, and to set their standards to.
Cruel way of doing it: yes. Effective? Very. And in the end, it made for a team with some incredibly strong teamwork.
