Like what? I'd love to hear all the good sides of him... cause when I think of Lestat, I can't stop thinking about Tom Cruise with the blonde hair, looking passionately at Brad Pitt which reminds me why I'm also in the yaoi guild~! xd

Yep. My gaydar BROKE when it came near a twilight book

Mmmmm....yes.....*snaps out of my daze*
Well, there's the fact that he's multi-talented. I mean, he can hunt, act, and sing! Let's not foget his wit.

Mmmm..... Just that much gives him much of an edge over Edward. What does Edward know? Smile and look pretty? He's not even pretty! scream I hear Robert Downey Jr. might play Lestat if they continue the Vampire Chronicles. Personally, I think I'd like to see Johnny Depp play the part. 3nodding

I heard that too, and I also heard that Anne Rice is all for Robert Downey Jr. playing the part. Johnny Depp would be good too. I mean, he's in his forties but he looks like he's in his twenties. He's also very good looking. redface I think Tom Cruise will be a tough act to follow, though.

Yes, I'd have liked Tom Cruise to play the part again but... I hear he's not interested. emo I mean come on! He's also 'aged' but he looks the way he did then when Mary Jane from the Spiderman series was a little kid, playing Claudia (which by the way, I found scary for a little girl to be looking like that. Very convincing!)

Aw, that's disappointing. I think Tom Cruise was born for that role. cry
Kirsten Dunst was perfect for that role. She was beautiful as a little girl and a brilliant actress.
My brother told me that Simon Baker would be good for the role, but I'm a little iffy on that.

Agreed! He can drop Mission Impossible and all the other movies. He NEEDS to continue the Vampire Chronicles! He was born for the role! But honestly, if it's possible. I'd like another option. Ian Somerhalder... Damon from the Vampire Diaries (by the way, I kinda find the series suckish and teeny buffer, too pop-ish... with alot of characters who's voices are annoying) But I love that face! Man...

Aww... Kirsten. The eyes were beautiful now and then. Captivating. Alluring. A true woman in a child's body. Loved Claudia in the movie. Especially the part where she played piano and her tutor fell on the keys at the last note. 3nodding

Well, I found one of Anne Rice's books boring, too. I much prefer Philippa Gregory. Are you going to take something I like and call it crap?

Boring isn't a downright insult to something you like. It's an opinion. Some of you people take this hating thing a little too far and jump down people's throats for saying the smallest things. Makes you no different than a fan who alienates people for not liking Twilight.

She DID alienate me for not liking Twilight. Maybe I should have included that part in the first post.

I was only stating to her that I didn't care for Twilight, and I told her the reasons why I didn't like Twilight. Very politely, I might add. I told her I preferred Anne Rice, because I believed her characters had more substance. She then got in my face and told me I was stupid and that Twilight was boring.

"it was boring" is often a Twitard cover for "It was too hard and confusing for my tiny brain to understand".

Anything containing an actual plot, charaterization, character development.....basically, things that make a book good- are too much for Twitards to handle. Hence why they like Twilight- its written at their level of comprehension. Personally, I think they should just stick with Dr. Seuss.

Actually, Most Dr. Seuss books have a much more well thought out plot-line and character creation than Twilight. They're creative and funny and educational. Twilight is just sad, with minute character differences and depth. Also, comparing the two is kinda like, wrong. Dr. Seuss is god, right after Anne Rice and Morgan Freeman

You misunderstand.
I'm not knocking the Seuss- it IS good literature, but he wrote for a young child reading level. Seuss books are something Twitards could read and understand, while at the same exposing them to good writing (and maybe, just maybe, help recover some of the brain cells reading Twilight destroyed)

Oh wow, can't you just smell the hypocrisy in that one? rolleyes In all honesty I think that a few of Anne Rices books were dull and a bit predictable (especially some of her newer works) but I fully respect the idea that other people like them.

I think that the biggest problem that most hardcore Twilight fans have is that they are hyperactive in their fangirlism and are far too sensitive about the opinions of their favourite series. I would argue that this is probably due to immaturity because I cannot help noticing that the most obnoxious fans are either very young or very childish in nature.

Perhaps if the issue comes up next time you could either bring up the hypocrisy or request that if she is going to be so sensitive about twilight bashing that she must also show other books the same level of respect.

Then again that might be asking for a miracle. -_-

YES! And the Morgan scenes as well. 3nodding I'm honestly looking forward to Vampire Lestat and Vampire Armand the most. Of course, Queen of the Damned might take some time considering the costumes needed for it and the set. stare And I hope the next Armand will resemble Anne Rice's 'Armand' more. Auburn hair, getting on the sentimental side in the last part of the first book. 3nodding

I know! I love Antonio. His voice is sexy! But no, he's not Armand. First of all, he was supposed to be the only one with brown hair in the vampire theatre thing (It was French, right). And second, Anne Rice stated repeatedly that Armand looked like a young man. What is YOUNG about Antonio Banderez? No offense.

Haha, trust me. If I was single and got to chose from older men to date, he would be on the top of the list, but he should not have played Armand. Now, someone like Bartec could definetly play him.
