"Mmfh," Aulus shrugged slightly, swallowing more popcorn, "suit yourself, more for me." Given he was going to be here watching this... thing for a while, he supposed he might as well get comfortable. Setting his snack aside for the time being Aulus unfastened his boots and slipped his feet out before folding himself up into a lotus... Ah, Zeus was looking at him again. He supposed it was too much to hope the electric type wanted a lap to sit on. No, he'd be wanting more chocolate, or possible some popcorn. Well he wasn't getting any, not right now anyway. Picking up his popcorn again, Aulus lent back into the softness of the sofa and raised an eyebrow at the screen. Chores, chores, chores; that sounded familiar... Good grief, he was relating to Cinderella. He supposed he might as well just hand in his testicles right now.

Claire was already comfortable. Very, very comfortable. So much so that, when Aulus commented, she made no reply. The sounds coming from the tv went unnoticed by the tired young woman, as did the colors and sparkles as her eyelids felt suddenly much heavier than they had a moment ago. A fumbling hand reached up to rub at her eyes, trying to keep herself awake - she didn't want to fall asleep in the rec room, after all, even if Odette was right there - but the effort was pretty much a complete and total failure. She covered her mouth with a hand as another yawn overtook her, and her eyes very slowly slid shut.

Zeus completely disregarded his sleepy human and continued to stare up at Aulus balefully. Eventually he would feel so guilty he'd have to give him more chocolate. It was a brilliant plan.

It took Aulus a short while to notice that Claire had dozed off. When he did notice, he sighed slightly and picked up his jacket. Moving slowly so as not to wake her up again (and keeping an eye on Odette in case she took it the wrong way) he draped the red garment over the sleeping woman... Why'd he bothered to do that? Well, he supposed it cost him nothing, but still, it wasn't like it was his problem if she got cold. Maybe he still felt like he was paying her back for bringing him here... although after today, if he was treating her a given way for recruiting him, he out to have poured his juice over her head, not covered her with his jacket.

Shaking his head to himself Aulus turned back to the screen, though the movie wasn't really holding his attention. He kept glancing at Claire out of the corner of his eye. She looked kind of sweet asleep like that. He could think she was sweet, that didn't do any harm, any more than thinking she had a nice arse did. It didn't mean he liked her for herself, it meant he liked her for her looks which was totally acceptable.

The sudden feeling of something covering her made Claire unconsciously flinch but only roused her enough for her to slip her arms away from her knees and instead settling them across her stomach, as her legs slowly leaned to one side. Coincidentally, the side to which they leaned was the side of the couch Aulus was currently sitting on. Besides that small movement and her even breathing, she remained still.

Zeus didn't give a crap what Aulus did to his human as long as he got chocolate. Odette, on the other hand, narrowed her eyes further and clacked her beak in warning. She didn't know what the purpose of putting his clothes over her human was, but she wanted to let him know she would not allow him to do anything else.

Her legs leaning so far over caused Claire's upper half to slowly start inching closer to the scarred man beside her, aided by the fact there was a greater weight on that half of the couch than on hers. After several minutes, if Aulus hadn't noticed her gradual leaning, he would suddenly feel a small weight on one shoulder.

Aulus just about managed to avoid startling when Claire's head came to rest on his shoulder, but only just. Aware that Odette probably wouldn't be happy he turned to the large bird and gave her a look which he hoped communicated that this was not his fault in any way shape or form. This done, he turned his head to look down at Claire. She looked peaceful. He could feel the warmth of her body. She smelled good; was it her shampoo, or perfume?... What was he supposed to do? He couldn't really just push her off, but if he didn't push her off and she woke up leaning on him she'd probably have a few choice words for him. Disarmed by indecision, Aulus glanced over at Odette again; what the heck was he supposed to do here? Arg. Was he was hoping for a solution from the preening pidgeot? Apparently he was.

Tortie was not especially impressed by the development up on the sofa; that female human was getting way too close to her human. Fortunately, rather than deciding to take matters into her own jaws, she simply gave a huff of disgust, and pointedly turned her back on Aulus. Stupid humans.

Odette's expression turned into a heated glare. She didn't think the other human had done anything, but she couldn't be too sure... Hmm. To fix this problem, the large bird moved over a few steps to one side to have a perfect view of the pair of humans on the couch in case Aulus tried to do anything. If he was hoping for some guidance from her as to what he should do, he didn't get it - instead he'd get another glare complete with narrowed eyes, a slightly puffed up crest, and another beak-clacking warning before she slowly started to preen again, but kept keen eyes riveted to the pair.

The object of Aulus' indecision leaned on him more heavily, and the arm closest to him slipped off her lap and rested on the sofa between them. She hadn't been lying when she told him she didn't snore.

Oh great. Just what he needed. Aulus eyed Claire's hand suspiciously, silently hoping that it would stay where it was; he suspected that if she moved it onto him he was going to get savaged by an angry bird. It wasn't his fault. Maybe he should have sat somewhere else, or tried to make sure she stayed awake. He couldn't exactly have predicated she was going to do this though. Maybe he should just shove her off... Or maybe that wasn't such a good idea - Aulus' gaze flicked to Odette - he liked his eyes where they were, and he suspected that they wouldn't remain there if he so much as shrugged to remove the sleeping woman.

Had Tortie been aware of her human's discomfort she might have been a little pleased by it, but she was doing far too good a job of studiously ignoring him to notice anything much that was going on behind her.

It was a good thing that Aulus valued his eyes and had some sense, because if he didn't and he made even one wrong move, his face would suddenly be full of angry, raging talons. It definitely wouldn't end well.

Luckily for Aulus, her hand remained right where it was, though she was still leaning on him quite a bit. The two sources of warmth - the jacket and the body she was currently using as a pillow - both combined to make the sleeping woman subconsciously feel much more comfortable, and pushed her into a deeper sleep.

Well, looked like he was going to be here a while. Sighing deeply Aulus turned to watch the movie once more. Cinderella was dancing with the prince, who didn't have a name so far as he could tell. Didn't need one really, the important thing was that he was a prince, and handsome. Money, power, and looks, that was all miss I'm so blonde and wearing such a retarded dress cared about. Sweet and pure? Hardly, she was as greedy as the next person, just good at hiding it. True love at first sight? Really? The whole thing was pretty sickening when you thought about it, and this was meant for impressionable kids.

If you're not beautiful, you're nothing, and or the villain. If you don't know that you and another person are 'soul mates' with just once glance your relationship was worthless and never going to go anywhere. Relationships never had any problems, people just lived happily ever after, and if you ever had an argument you hadn't been in love to begin with. Nobody had flaws, or any real personality at all...

It was stupid for him to get worked up over a silly movie. Ugh. He should have made Tortie find the right movie after all, then at least he might have been able to get enjoyably absorbed into the stupidity rather than swining between anger at the thing he was watching, and thinking about the woman on his shoulder. Was she going to sleep all night? There was no way he was staying here all night, he'd have to wake her up somehow sooner or later. Ugh. What a day. Maybe he shouldn't have come here to start with, should just have cut his losses and gone to bed... She really did smell nice.

It appeared only Aulus was paying attention to the movie for the time being. Tortie might have been, but Zeus and Odette were currently staring - or in the latter's case, glaring - at the man, one waiting for edible treats of the chocolatey persuasion, and the other making sure Aulus didn't try anything. So far he was behaving well for a male human, but that didn't mean she was going to let her guard down or anything, oh no. She was on to their sneaky ways..

Claire would indeed be able to sleep there all night if her pillow Aulus didn't move. She inhaled deeply and shifted, curling her legs under her to get into a more comfortable position, and then was still once more.

Errrrg. Looked like he was going to be stuck here a while if he didn't do something. He was sick of the movie anyway. Glancing down at Claire, Aulus shifted away from her slightly. Perhaps if he kept on slowly shifting he would eventually be able to escape, and because she'd been moved gradually Claire might not wake up, and therefore Odette might not get pissed off enough to attack him... That or he was going to end up with Claire's head in his lap. Somehow he got the impression that her precious Pidgeot wouldn't stand for that. Oh great. Maybe he should just nudge her subtly to rouse her, and hope that either Odette didn't notice him nudging her, or that if she did, she didn't think it was a shooting offence...

What was it with the people around Claire and wanting to kill him for the smallest things? Was she just a psycho magnet or something?... Well, to be fair he didn't know if Odette would actually want to kill him, she might just settle for a good maiming. You knew you were surrounded by crazy people when maiming sounded fairly mild.

When Aulus slowly began to move, Claire didn't shift much or at all. That is, until her head suddenly fell a couple inches and the hand that had been between them shot out to support herself - coincidentally, planting itself right between the scarred man and the back of the couch - while the other hand reached up to rub at one eye. The other remained closed, a slight frown on her face as she mumbled something incoherent, ever so slowly sinking further down while her hand slowed to a stop, until finally her cheek rested against his chest and the hand fell away to his side. Her other arm relaxed, shifting only slightly before she descended into a deep slumber once again.

Odette watched what transpired very carefully, eyes narrowed - but it looked like her human was just sleepy and was using the male human as a pillow. This was understandable behavior, since pokemon did the same thing on occasion, but she wouldn't allow this particular male to do anything to her precious human. He hadn't done anything yet but she was damn well going to make sure he didn't ever.

Errrrrrrg. That had not been the intended effect at all... It had been a long time since a woman had fallen asleep on him. He'd missed it. The warmth. Feeling her breathe. He wanted to wrap his arms around her, to reach up and stroke her silky hair... Except he didn't. Not her. It was a very different woman he wanted to be close to again, Claire was just close enough to Vivian (i.e. female) to make him long for the past. Had nothing to do with Claire herself at all... Did it? No. Of course it didn't. She was pretty, but being pretty did not make him want to hold her while she slept. Other things sure, but not this. Still, he guessed he could stay a bit longer; the stupid movie wasn't over yet.

Carefully setting aside his now mostly empty bag of popcorn, Aulus tried to settle back and relax. It was kind of difficult to do with an attractive woman draped over you. Focus on the stupid movie, not on how tempting it was to reach up and tuck her hair behind her ear.

Unfortunately for Aulus, shifting again disturbed the sleeping woman once again, but this time in an entirely different manner. She inhaled deeply and inclined her head a bit as both hands snaked around behind him, only coming to rest once again as her arms were wrapped around his middle. Her legs shifted again too, stretching out a bit as she got comfortable. It had been quite a long time since she'd been this comfy while sleeping, and her body - or mind, maybe both - had apparently decided to stay unconscious as long as possible.

The Pidgeot's eyes remained narrowed at the pair on the couch but still she remained where she was, since the male human really hadn't done anything yet besides awkwardly shift around on the couch. That was allowed. For now, anyway.

Oh great. Just what he needed... Well, actually he had to admit it could be a lot worse. If he stretched out his legs and rested his feet on the coffee table, maybe he could fall asleep like this. It certainly beat sleeping in a room with somebody who might or might not have tried to kill him today. He'd been warm enough with Claire asleep on him, and he couldn't deny that the closeness was nice. Wasn't like he was doing anything wrong here, in fact staying put would be doing her a favour; she'd said she hadn't slept well in ages, but apparently having somebody close by had solved her insomnia.

Decision made Aulus slowly unfolded his legs and put his feet on the table before carefully shifting his jacket so that it covered Claire better... There really wasn't anything comfortable he could do with the arm on the side Claire was leaning other than put it around her. Making sure that Odette saw he wasn't touching her butt or her boobs, Aulus draped his powerful arm around the sleeping woman. Wasn't like there was much else he could do; Odette could hardly expect him to sit with it up on the back of the couch all night or something. He hoped she didn't expect that anyway, because he really, really didn't want to end his day with a face full of talons.
