I feel that if you're a raver or a kandi kid, it's in your heart. Not just a title.
There are the poseurs and wannabe's, but I don't think they know it.
I feel that being a true RAVER is when you discover your love for the ENTIRE scene.
The music, the lights, the plur, the vibes, and the people.
Possibly the drugs, but they aren't the reason that you go.
I feel that you become a TRUE raver when you develop a love for it, and it becomes something that holds a special place in your heart. Your attitude changes a bit too. You start accepting people more and finding the joy in things..
I feel that if you know in your heart bad enough that raving is WHAT YOU WANT TO DO, and you TRULY live by PLUR, then you should be able to call yourself a raver.
I know that not everyone can make it to a rave... You don't have to go to one to develop those feelings.. Just do your research. I fell in love with the rave scene before I'd ever even been to one...
Now, as far as being a Kandi Kid goes, I'm not sure.. I think it's the same sort of mentality... But I haven't really thought about the specifics. This whole raver thing is just something I care deeply about...
It makes me so sad to go to raves and see people there for nothing but the drugs, and they'll openly admit they don't like the music and they'll straight up say that all of us "rave kids" are freaks... it breaks my heart.. and then these people have the GALL to call themselves ravers..
