Reeshie Hack Rosc was on the ground before he knew it. Whips were not his thing, he hadn't known anyone who used them, so he couldn't have really trained against them. But if he was anything, he was an adapter. As he rolled away from him/her/it, his foot coming free, he aimed a whack at the back of his/her/its knee, attempting to "repay the favor" so to speak. His aim was true as he felt more than saw the branch connect. Rosc's HP :: 18 Attack Damage :: 3 The hooded figure did not flinnch as the branch connected solidly with it's being. No, in fact it spun around and lashed out with the whip again, clearly agitated by the student's attempts to take it down. It let the whip fly once more, catching your student by the wrist, letting the weapon create more of a haze for him, a nap would be good right about now... Well. If you weren't busy fighting for your life. HP: 2 Damage done to Rosc:0

Sin was frantic, she froze and reached her arms out but Rosc was gone into the fog and she blindly tried to grasp him again. "Rosc! Alcie!" She felt panic start to well up inside her, she was so close to finding her friend only to loose Rosc? Why did this horrible place continue to torment her and the others? She could just imagine Rosc or Alcie being stolen away by reapers and a shiver ran through her whole body.
Her voice rose in volume as she took tiny steps forward her arms swinging out in a feeble attempt to locate them. "ROSC! ALCIE!" Jack damn this horrid place!

He needed to get back to her and make everything all right. So when the whip wrapped around his wrist and his vision began to dim at the edges, he did the only thing he could think of. "Stay calm Sin!" he cried out, grabbed the whip with the hand it wrapped around and spun, keeping the fighter from pulling back to dodge his strike. Sadly, the strike missed. It clearly did not want to deal with more. HP: 2 Damage done to Rosc: 0

Alcyone was so relieved when she heard the familiar voices. She was beginning to hate this fog and she was beginning to realize how vulnerable she was without her eyesight. She felt absolutely useless and if this entire trip was going to be like this then it was going to be a miserable field trip. Maybe even worse than Christmas Town... maybe...
Turning and beginning to run in the direction of the voices, Alcie finally caught sight of Sin's form. "Thank goodness! You don't know how horrible this trip has been! I've been wandering aimlessly on this stupid beach for so long. It's such a relief to see you." Her words just all came out at once because she dearly missed having people around her. "Are you two alright? What happened in that crazy fog? I didn't see anything and I think I might have missed a huge battle." Pausing, Alcie realized that Sin was rather upset and then finally noticed that Rosc wasn't by her side. "Where is Rosc?" Panic began to overwhelm Alcie and she looked around frantically trying to see if she could catch sight of Rosc or his opponent.

Ow) The distance between Rosc and Sin was becoming farther apart by the moment. HP: 2 Damage done to Rosc: 6He was losing, he could feel it. The figure was drawing him farther and farther away from the ghouls and all his efforts to stop it were coming up short. Nothing he was doing was freeing himself from the Jack-damned whip and he was feeling weaker and weaker as this fight went on. Anyone else might have given up by now. But he couldn't. He hadn't given up when he'd been robbed of the youth he should have had, hadn't given up every time he was pushed by his mentor to be stronger, faster. He hadn't given up when he thought the one person who knew him had turned her back on him. He wasn't going to give up now. It was a stupid idea. There were way too many things that could go wrong if he tried. He needed to get free, and if stupid did it, then it was a result. If the hooded menace wanted to pull him close, he would just have to oblige, now wouldn't he? Rather than fight the tug, he leaned into it, swinging as hard as his leadened limbs would allow. Sin was normally rather composed, but with Rosc stolen by the fog and Alcyone finally in sight she tugged Alcie close and hugged her. She hugged her friend as tight as she could and then pushed her back a bit to examine her with concern. "Oh Alcie! You're okay, I was SO worried about you. The boat crashed and I woke up on the beach and then there was an attack...I was so afraid something had happened to you! Have you seen Viveca? I haven't seen her since the ship crashed either...we need to...to find Rosc." She looked around dazed, worried, but clinging to Alcie as if she were a lifeline.
"He was just here a moment ago holding my hand but this fog...this fog is unnatural. We have to keep moving....we were heading towards town, but we can't go without Rosc." Just like she couldn't have left without Alcie, and Viveca...hopefully they could find her on the way. But now Rosc was gone and her heart kept thudding too hard in her chest.
"This island has reapers...one of them carried off a demon...that nice pride ghoul we had at our party..." Her voice lowered into a fearful whisper.

(( Reeshie)) Rosc could do nothing but watch as the figure disappeared. A low growl caught in his throat, he was too tired to even do that. He stayed as he was for a moment, just listening. it could be a trick, the opponent could come back, try to attack him as soon as he was off his guard. But nothing came, nothing moved. Body still tensed as much as it could be, Rosc decided to try and head back to Sin and Alcie. Just as he was about to turn, something caught his vision, something that he didn't think had been there before. It was a pendant. Wary of it, he picked it up and stuck it in his pants pocket rather than putting it around his neck. For all he knew, it was a tray that would choke him as soon as he did so. He stumbled a couple of times as he headed back towards the sound of voices. "Sin?" he called out as loud as he could manage, which, frankly, wasn't very. He was so tired...

"I know, I was so worried about you too. I haven't seen Vivi. I've only seen one other person from our ship so I really don't know what happened to them. This island is horrible." Pausing, Alcie continued to look around and there didn't seem to be any movement.
"Uh oh. Reapers? Really? They actually took a student?" She was absolutely astonished that the staff would actually let something like that happen. Alcie couldn't help but shutter slightly at the thought. Her parents had ingrained that fear of reapers into her and she was even distrustful of some of her fellow students. "Rosc? Are you out there?" She learned that she really disliked relying on her hearing to guide her. Wait, did she hear something? Was that Rosc's voice?

"The staff is gone...I think out here they might be in as much trouble as we are..." She kept a tight hold on Alcie's hand not that it had done much good with Rosc, but it comforted her a bit. She looked around though it was useless in this fog. Then she thought she heard his voice and stayed still hoping he could get to them.
"ROSC!" She yelled a bit louder, his voice sounded faint, was he far? "ROSC! OVER HERE I FOUND ALCIE!" She yelled as loud as she could hoping that despite the fog Rosc could get to them. She waved one arm out her fingers seemed to vanish in the fog but she slowly waved her hand anyway hoping to connect with Rosc.

A somewhat shaking hand touched Sin's as she waved it in the fog. "No need to shout," Rosc said, emerging like a ghost from the fog.
His branch was just tall enough for him to lean on, just a bit. Any more weight on it and he thought he might break it... Though he had beat at least two people with it, so it was pretty sturdy. He gave the pair a small smirk.
"Miss me?" Oh, it was the most absurd thing to say, but anything else had fled his mind. He'd almost gotten taken away from Sin and her friend, could have been dropped off a cliff for all he knew of the attacker's intentions. His wrist was sore, ankle sore, waist... Well, his waist wasn't too bad off, it was mostly his arms and feet. And he was so tired from that stupid whip, he didn't have much of a mind for trying to be stand-offish or clever. Maybe later.

Feeling Sin holding tight onto Alcie comforted her a lot. It was good to have a friend around. When she heard the boil's voice in the distance, Alcie gave an audible sigh. Thank goodness. It seemed like she had said that phrase a lot already... "Good to see you again Rosc." Grinning widely, the water demon really was happy to see him even though it seemed like he had just gotten beat up.
She hated feeling so tense and wary all of the time. It really was starting to get to her and now all she wanted to do was curl up in her bed back at the demon dorms. "So what now?" Before she had wandered off from the group, Alcie had heard students talking about various paths to the 'lighthouse' and various other places. She didn't want to be alone anymore so she was more than willing to stick with Rosc and Sin for now on.
