Yeti took a deep breath and calmed himself, before continuing to follow. She had asked a good question. Why was he up on the mountain by himself? He knew that his mother had warned about humans and what they might do if Yeti had been discovered but there where others out there sort of like him not quite as fluffy but…. “Well I guess I grew up here and didn’t really see the need to leave. Mom had told me not to get caught by humans and after the snow ends I kind of stand out.” He said lightly scoffing the top of the snow with his paw.

"Well that makes sense." She said as she walked further into the cave. " I guess your mother was very afraid of your well being right?" She paused to look back at him. "Yea i guess you would stick out like a sore thumb in the summer and your fur it might make you overheat." she frowned at the thought. "Yeah that wouldn't be good I'm sorry." she felt bad and now didnt know what to say.

Yeti nodded and followed her. It was getting a bit easier to talk with her. “Well aren’t all mothers concerned about their kids… or at least they should be.” he stated with a sad tone. “well I could go down the mountain at winter and then travel at night or in dense forests but..” he trailed off nibbling on the bottom of his lip. He could have left but he guessed he was just a bit scared. “Its okay really up here is pretty cool and one day perhaps during winter I’ll go see other places. It’ll be an adventure.” He tried to cheer the both of them up again.

"Yes, I suppose most mothers do worry about their young.. I know mine would have ripped anyone's head off or maybe my father would for her."Venton said in a pondering tone. She traveled deeper into the cave following the sound of water dropping. Maybe there would be a little puddle they could drink out off. "You know its ok to be scared? We all are for one reason or another," She said guessing as to why he hadn't left.

“Oh I think your dad would have a hard time finding something left after your mom found them. I think it all depends on the parent who helps first. Well if they are good parents they should be pretty protective” Yeti pointed out and trailed off looking to the side. He had known of some bad parents and he wished they hadn’t. His ears picked up and swirled around listening to the sound of water dropping. He wondered if their was a river head here. It would definitely be a pretty sight to see.
“ah but its not good to be totally frightened, you cant live that way” Yeti said even though he knew that made him feel like a hypocrite. He knew he shouldn’t be this shy or scared but he still couldn’t help it.

"Your right he might have nothing left to attack but they are both pretty aggressive and protective honestly. They are good parents have issues sometimes but what parents dont right?" She asked wondering if it was just her parents or if everyone's parents where like that.
"Your right you can't live in fear and the only way to not is to face your fear and conquer it."She stated plainly.

“ah well I don’t know if my parents where ever actively that agressive. However you do have a point about issues. Mine, well my dad was killed by humans so I don’t know what sort of issues he might have had. However mom was pretty protective” Yeti stated smiling. He was getting used to the purple vixen and not stuttering so much any more.
Yeti nodded glad she seemed to understand. It was definitely still scary but the chance he was taking seemed to be a good one and he was glad he had made an effort. The flight response to just run away again was still there but it was getting better.

Venton gasped at the news that his father and been killed by humans. "Oh My Deities that is horrible. I'm so sorry,"She immediately moved closer and nuzzled his cheek in a comforting gesture and had her self close to him. She felt bad. She wouldn't know how to react if her own father was some how killed but it would severely effect her.
Venton opened her mouth to suggest the change the subject when suddenly she stepped off the edge and fell into a dark abyss until a loud splash was heard.

“Ah its okay now, it happened when I was really little. It was a big affair though because they had to get him away from the humans since we cant be spotted by them” Yeti told her. “I am sad at the fact that I never really got to know him, but I try and live best I can in a way he would be proud of” Yet stated. Suddenly his cheek was nuzzled and he felt his temperate rising. “I… I” he stammered brought out of his slightly sad thoughts. However what ever he said trailed off as Venton suddenly disappeared from view.
Yeti instantly called out in worry before running over and grabbing some crystals that glowed when you shook them. He held them in his mouth before diving in after her. “Are you okay Miss Venton?” he called out.

Venton was sinking not knowing which way was up. The water was so dark and the cave it made it extremely hard to tell. She was starting to panic when she seen a little light above her and she frantically swam towards it.
Her head broke the surface and she gasped for air, coughing and sputtering trying to get the water out of her system. She looked around for the light and seen Yeti was holding something that glowed. She swam towards him and crawled onto the bank shivering. "Well that was scary," she said trying to make a joke but failing.

He was panicked as he didn’t see her at all but figured maybe he could get to shore himself and become a lighthouse or something silly like that. Eventually it seemed to work as he watched Venton break through the surface.
“Yes it was Miss Venton” He stated shaking his head. He knew she was trying to make light of the whole thing by joking but since he was an expert on trying that same thing he knew she was still scared. “Here this should help against any cliffs in the near future.” Yeti said rolling over his rock. He had an extra, ever one to think ahead. Well at least most of the time.

Venton nodded still shivering unsure if she should continue to try and play this off or just lay there for a moment. She gratefully took the small glowing rock from Yeti and placed it between her paws where she lay.
"These rocks are interesting. How did you find them?" She asked trying to change the subject and in hopes of giving herself some more time to recover.

“Well I was out exploring with my mom when I was younger and kind of fell of a cliff like you, there was no water on the bottom but it was really really dark” Yeti pointed out. “I ended up nicking two of those rocks by accident and when they started to glow I was able to use them to find the way out. So I started to go back and study them see which type glowed and for how long and what caused it.” He answered.
Yeti smiled and watched as she tried to recover from the experience. He was fine with waiting until she was better. After all that’s what he would hope some one would do for him.

"I'm sorry you feel to but that's some really good luck finding those rocks you know?" She said with a smile. She took a deep breath and slowly stood up a bit shaky from all the events that just happened in a short amount of time. Once she was up on all fours she rubbed the top of her head under Yeti's chin "Thank you" she said as she did so.

"I-I- guess" yeti admitted shyly. He didn't think he had too much good luck but thinking about it she did raise a point. When she started to get up he made a move like he was about to help her when he hesitated. It was best to let her get up by her self right. He would make a move if her legs tried to collapse on her. 'ah y-your w-welcome" he replied blushing and stammering when she rubbed her head under her chin. It felt nice but at the same time he wasn't used to such touchy feely people and here he thought he was improving. He didnt know how to act, what if he screwed up?
