OldTecktonik VII blood_lust26 OldTecktonik VII hmm, well, in all honesty, i don't really find anything special about st. patrick's day since i don't celebrate it or anything. but i do make sure to wear green...most of the time. lol i always celibrate it. mainly cuz im hafe irsh and proud of it =D oh very nice. what do you do to celebrate? theres not many things i can do to celibrate. parents are always busy and theres no festivals around as far as i know and i cant drive yet to go and find out. so i dress in all green. drink green apple jones soda (to young to drink xD) listen to some irsh rockbands. sometimes i go to my grandpas house and hear about him talking about our irsh history. today my mom took me out for my 1st driveing lesson so ill always remember this st.patick'day cool fact! i read st.patrick was achasly from scoutland but was sold into slavery and got sent to irland

I absolutely LOVE St. Patrick's Day.
I just got back from the parade.
It's a huge deal down here in savannah, GA. My brothers are Irish because of their dad so their whole family are in the parade. All these high-standing Irish people are in the parade as well, these prominent Irish families.
The Parade is so big down here that people from Canada and New York come here for it too. It's totally awesome. =)
Edit: We also never have school on St. Patrick's Day down here.

Well... I have to say that I'm actually extremely pleased to see that most people on Gaia type in St. Patty's day as oppose to Paddy. Being of Irish decent myself, I always find it very offensive when people mix up the name and that ridiculous slander. So many Americans do it every day this time of year that it really gets more than annoying. Not that most can help it, almost no one know that its racists.

mitzuhiko redface when is st. patricks day? redface i'm from Germany and I know nothing about this feast sweatdrop St. Patrick's Day is always on 17th March. This is because St. Patrick is said to have died on this day, & the Irish people loved him deeply for the things that he did for their country, so they decided that they'd commemorate his deeds by celebrating the end of his life. Fun Fact! : Easter is almost as big a holiday as St. Pat's in Ireland. This is because on Easter in the year 1916, Ireland made an officially declared movement to free themselves from English oppression.

redheadsrule13 i like it just because i'm irish. i have the red hair and freackels to proove it too I wish I was a natural red head... Poor souls are going extinct though. Makes me very sad. Some of the sweetest people I've ever met were red heads... Unfortunately, I got the rare German blond hair from my mother's side of the family. Seriously, it was either the common black/brown from both sides of the family, the rare German blond, or the rare Irish red - & I got blond, my least favorite hair color. I did get my father's green eyes though. That's a trait exclusive to the Irish in my family, the German all have light or dark brown eyes. To my misfortune though, the breeding that created me made my skin pale as paper. I sun burn so bad it hurts others to laugh at it. xd

My mom use to be a redhead till it turned brown in her younger ages, but thankfully for me I haven't lost it, and have actually gained mainy compiments from people because of my hair color (mostly old people though, and friends). my dad's side i have no idea if he's had redheaded ancestors. I hate that I burn easily that's the one set back like you said. I was sunburnt so bad once I had blisters, and my sister hit me, it hurt so bad crying ......... I have to agree it hurts when others laugh about it.

I have to agree it hurts when others laugh about it. When I was in school, having blond hair was a double edge sword. Girls generally were expressive of their jealousy for not having natural blond hair, & others were calling me dumb on a constant basis. (Even if I was getting higher grades then them in classes. The only real evidence of my stupidity was my childhood clumsiness & social awkwardness.) Ugh... tell me about it... The sun burn is a pain to deal with, no lame pun intended. I'm so pathetic when I get burned. People make fun of me for the first five minutes of me dealing with it, then they start trying to help me ease the pain. One summer, my cousin's friend spent the majority of the day with me just holding a wet rag on my back & dampening it every minute to keep it cool. My back was literally sucking all of the cool off of the rag & making it hot like it had just picked up a pan from the stove top. Every summer, without fail, I get blisters & every time I go into this ultimate b***h mode because someone feels its their need the pop the slimy bubbles on my skin.

People call me a "Ginger", and say I have no soul because of South park, but I know they don't mean harm just having fun, unless it's a certain person. And then there's my best friend who likes to make fun of me every once and a while cracking jokes about irish things at me. yeah i know it's like having a high fever when you get burnt, it sucks. I had to do that after a softball picknick at the beach. I had stuck sunscreen on but it didn't work when it got wet so I ended up with blisters on my shoulders and my back/ neck. Then like the next day my sister suddenly decides to hit me where it hurts the most, no punny crap either. My parents were standing there, and I whacked here right back, and my parents were not happy when she did that either.
