The cadet hit her square on and rather strongly, and Dioptase went crashing down on the cement hard. Hard enough to make the world go black, if only for a few seconds.
Dioptase found herself almost wishing she had passed out, and now she was all over the water, and the puddle was tinting red. There was a small chuck of loose cement right in front of her face - she must have hit it on the way down.
But the Captain knew this not by the sight of her own blood, but by the pain. Pain all over. This was her chance. She didn't open her eyes. She kept on laying here, eyes closed lightly, forcing her breathing to slow. This had been a tactic she used with Tanzanite to trap senshi - she knew how to play the part of the unconscious civilian. But now she was playing the unconcious captain. Maybe if they thought she had passed out, they would leave her. She had to recover and teleport out of here. Had to, had to, had to...
Too bad her little feign meant she didn't see the cadet re-enter with the needle.

She was sitting on the cold cement floor, feeling the water slide along her leg as it ran its way over the warehouse floor, and the Negaverse Captain had gotten knocked 'unconscious' from a little punch like that? Dioptase hadn't even fallen that far, and while it was a very cute attempt at playing unconscious... Was that blood? "The hell did you do?" A golden sandal kicked some of the cement away from near Dioptase's head.
"Oops." Bulldog sounded anything but apologetic. There were footsteps, boots, heavy steps not unlike Bulldog's; The Captain was dragged to her feet and something thin, cold and metallic went sliding into her shoulder without warning, like a shot. "Didn't mean to draw blood." Bulldog continued, not the one who had just stabbed Dioptase with something. "Does it bother you that much, Scylla? You knew this was what was going to happen." The Mercenary was getting picked on for being the weakest link by a lower-ranked Court member?
Scylla really couldn't stand this job. She watched the other cadet pull the needle from the Captain's shoulder, and eyed the wound on the Negaverse Agent's head. "It doesn't mean I like it." She reached out, trailed her fingers down the side of the Captain's face. "Bring me water, and one of you tear off part of her jacket or something. We'll clot it up, at least. No point in her dying of blood loss."
"No point in bandaging her up so that the next person can just wreck your work when they have a go at her." It was a male voice, and Dioptase was dropped back to the floor unceremoniously. "If she bleeds out from a little bump on the head..."
"I didn't ask your opinions." Scylla snapped, foot tapping the floor. "You are more likely to kill her through overdose. You should have waited. Every 4-6 hours, Cadet. No more. Like Tylenol." The feet that belonged to the male shuffled a bit.

Something pierced her shoulder, and she knew it was too late. Her plan had backfired on her, but now she had to keep on going - if they knew she was prone to faking...
Of course, she had no idea that Scylla probably wasn't fooled. Knowing what exactly that they used to keep them sedated might have helped - helped ? With what, again ? What had she been thinking about ?
She lost her train of thought suddenly, and Scylla's last words were the last thing she heard before she blacked out completely.

Scylla scowled at the limp form of Dioptase and shook her head. "Clean her up, Cadets. Other people can play at bloodletting all they want, but I won't have it while I'm on watch. You can spread that around, too. I won't watch it." Weak stomach be damned. She was a guard, not the torturer. Picking on them was one thing. What was in store for these guys?
Another, entirely.
She washed the cut, not even regarding the cold water that dripped onto the Captain's uniform, and used a little gauze on the cut. She didn't waste any Neosporin. Chances were good the Negaverser would be needing more than a little Neosporin by the end of it all.
Eh.
It was the thought that counted. Maybe.
