LunaInverse Xaala I'm going to agree with what you said. Especially about Sanzo and Goku. whee About Hakkai giving hints, I really haven't noticed. From what I've seen in Gensomaden, I don't think he does. But I did notice one "sort of" hint in Reload in the episode when the group indulged in that expensive hotel. sweatdrop Don't read this if you don't want a little spoiler for the last disc... In the last episode, Hakkai makes a comment to Goyjo about him being the only man Gojyo has ever held in his arms (Gojyo was helping to support Hakkai after a particularly nasty battle). And Gojyo chuckles and says, "Yeah, and you're the only one I'll ever hold, too." Could just be typical teasing between friends, but with this yaoi minded group, the imagination runs wild...LOLThat's why I say the Hakkai/Gojyo pairing... My curiosity got the better of me so I read the spoiler... I really need to get around to seeing the last disc! Hm.. you know, from what I've seen in the regular Anime forums, no one ever mentions non-yaoi Saiyuki pairings. It's kind of eerie. What about Kougaiji and Yaone?

Xaala My curiosity got the better of me so I read the spoiler... I really need to get around to seeing the last disc! Hm.. you know, from what I've seen in the regular Anime forums, no one ever mentions non-yaoi Saiyuki pairings. It's kind of eerie. What about Kougaiji and Yaone? I think because the artist has a history of drawing these beautiful men, and really, in the whole series, there's only a few recurring female characters. Yayone, who actually seems to have a thing for Hakkai...LOL Lirin is way to young. And completely insane. The Merciful Goddess is, well, a goddess...and a hermaphrodite. And then there's that psycho chick, the one who was Lirins' mother (?) I can't remember her name. But she's totally evil, and psycho, and devoted to one thing. In other words, most of the series is all about these handsome, hunky guys...LOL

Sanzo x Hakkai ~ heart They compliment, and get along, so well, and they seem to really understand why the other is the way he is. And they're both pretty whee .
Oh, and Ukoku x Komyou Sanzo whee I love the idea of this, and I really don't know why. They knew eachother quite well, and had long chats and all that good stuff. And I think they're both teh squee. There you have it. I heart Ukoku x Komyou Sanzo purely for the hotness of it xd

But I never heard anything about the Saiyuki boys being paired off. That COULD be where the Saiyuki pairings idea comes from.
