Karloff smiled gently, "As you wish. There will be...others." It was true, there were always others out there that would give him blood. And if, by chance there were not. He could wait. He had a want for it, but not a need.

"I mean I can kinda understand it..." she said looking over him. "One doesn't tend to reach your statute without a substantial diet and the idea of replacing something you lost isn't exactly out of the ordinary but, um, why not look into sealing up those wounds?" she questioned him, her eyes falling on the streaming blood once more. "Seems like that might be a more longterm solution?"

He shrugged his shoulders heavily, "It does not matter. The blood flows regardless of bandages, of healing....of anything. Maybe it's the reason for the cravings, or maybe it's something my attacker instilled in me as a child. Leaving me to battle my tastes, hoping I'd become the monster that he was."
Karloff leaned down and licked the blood away, it was a salty almost seasoned taste.

"It weighs on you, huh?" she asked watching him sadly. "Seems like quite the burden. So in the end, does the monster win?" she asked quietly.

Sonja snorted, "I'm not so helpless. I've got strong legs for kicking, wide wings for flying, and this." She glanced up at her horn and grinned, "It'll gut any nasty monster like a fish....or poke their eye out, I'm flexible." She shook out her mane, "And I don't think you look like a monster. With those paws and everything, you're actually pretty cute."

Karloff laughed, in his low laugh--still rather purr-like. "Be careful." She was something else, very sure of herself. He laughed again, as she spoke about him being 'cute'. The only one that had ever told him that was Ailbhe. Sweet Ailbhe. How he loved her!
Shaking off the thoughts of Ailbhe, before he was completely distracted, he spoke. "Have you ever fought before?"

She grinned, crimson eyes flashing, "I'm Always careful. And no, haven't really fought before, never needed to - but there's a first time for everything, right?"

"You would rather me be unsure of my skills?" she questioned quirking an eyebrow. "That doesn't seem very useful. At the very least, if I go down, I'm taking the other guy with me. I'm Certain I can manage that."
