Mheetu laughed as Zikamil spoke, trotting after his violet-eyed brother.
“No party-poopers.” He repeated with a wide grin, turning to Musabari when his brother nudged him. “Mmm? Well… we’re going after Kamil!” he laughed again, knowing that wasn’t what his brother wanted to know.
“Maybe we’ll meet some pride members, or see a hunt or or! See the Pride Rock!” Mheetu said excitedly, his mind already a jumble of all the amazing possibilities ahead of them. “Maybe we’ll see zebras, or wildebeest, or giraffes…”
And he trailed on, naming just about any savannah creature as he followed happily after Zikamil.

Zikamil's eyes brightened, and he beamed as he turned back to his two brothers. "Hey! Good idea, Mheetu! Let's go see Pride Rock!" He said excitedly, both because he absolutely loved the idea and because he hadn't exactly had a plan before this. Now that he had a destination, he felt more grounded, and he gave him another burst of courage.
"Maybe we'll see Uncle Simi," he added reassuringly as he glanced over at Musabari, who seemed absolutely horrified at the idea of going so far. If there was one thing his brother had a weakness for, it was anything to do with their ancestors and taking good care of a pride as impressive as theirs. "He's got to be there, I fink."
Musabari was not convinced. "But we still might get eated along the way..." He said uncertainly, though the idea of getting to see their uncle had made him more receptive to the thought of traveling so far from home. "An' what if he's not there? We'da gone for no reason." It just seemed an inordinate amount of walking (and exposing themselves to danger) to see a rock if there was going to be no other purpose.
"What if he tells mama?" He added, wide-eyed. They would no doubt get into worlds of trouble and be grounded for all eternity! He shook his head. "Nonononono. Bad idea, Kam. Bad ideaaaaaa."

“No one is going to eat us!” Mheetu said. He looked confident at first but pretty soon he was casting suspicious glances at their surroundings... just to make sure. “The Scouts don’t let anyone bad inside.”
Having Kamil agree with one of his ideas was more than enough to boost his confidence though. The smiled and sprang forward, getting closer to Zikamil’s side.
“He won’t, he’ll think we’re cute.” He threw Mu a mischievous grin over his shoulder, picking up the pace. “We’ll probably just have to promise to go straight back to the den. Let’s go!”

A simple nod, and Zikamil had turned and kept on walking, apparently unconcerned as to whether or not his two brothers would actually follow. He was fairly certain that Mheetu would, and Mu would likely come along behind him, if for no other reason than to avoid being left alone.
Musabari frowned, and considered it for a moment. It sounded well and good, but they were definitely making some assumptions that could turn out to be completely untrue. Still... He hesitated a moment before trotting out after his two brothers. Some adventure was better than no adventure... he supposed.
