Sailor Leto was in the shadows on the outskirts of the basketball court. Slowly but surely, members from both teams were stepping forward- no, charging at each other now. She stood waiting, and watching; she was still absolutely terrified of confrontation since her last run-in with Tanzanite. She took a deep breath, her hands balling into fists and releasing repeatedly. She knew damn well however that she couldn't stand and wait forever. It was time.

After holding her breath for what seemed like forever, she released it all slowly. Her gloved hands raised as she brought them together to crack her knuckles. And with that, Sailor Leto ran out into the battle field.

She clenched her hands as the senshi rushed towards the Negaverse. The amount of dark power the blonde corrupted senshi emitted threw off, but she'd encountered another twice. Seeing Alkaid was not as horrifying as it might have been.

Especially since right after that senshi emerged, so did one of Gunn's most hated opponents. Public enemy number one, and a more arrogant little ******** she'd never seen. This was an opportunity--a chance for Gunn to completely overwhelm the little b*****d and grind his face into the ground with her heel. Maybe she'd even just pulp him--no, no, Ares wouldn't like that.

Anyway, it was safe for her to focus on Bismuthite. Tanzanite would go for Ares, and if she had to, well... she'd switch targets.

For now, though, she threw herself away from Uranophane, towards the pink Negaverser. The redheaded senshi impacted with his abdomen in a completely unnecessary tackle, and kept them rolling until she came out on top. Disorientation was hard to fight off, leaving him a huge opening. "I'm so glad you're here," she said, pulling back a hand for a punch, despite her dizziness. "I've been so excited to tear you to pieces."

A fight on the ground worked just fine for Bismuthtie. At least, that is what he decided once he got the air back in him and noticed that is where they were. The disorientation and the opportunity it presented was duly missed. Once he got his baring however. Ugh. No. No girl on top. Not even another guy on top, kay thanks?

"Didn't I ever tell you? You're just not my type. So. Get off!"

Bismuthite thrust his hips up sharply, trying to knock her up and over him. Hopefully before that fist connected. And hopefully without encountering a face full of nasty, squishy, boob.

Tanzanite had strength in abundance, but she lacked Ares' flexibility and agility. The super senshi kicked off and slid across the faded asphalt, and before Tanzanite could get to her feet the smoke enveloped her. It was not wispy or thin, but a thick, choking cloud that brought the General to her knees even when she tried to strand. Her would-have-been words were cut off as the burning smoke filled her throat and lungs, choking away her voice.

What came out instead was only a wordless, angry snarl.

It was the power of teleportation that kept the General from choking into unconsciousness within the smoke, and she appeared behind Ares. Her fist came out in a hard punch to the super senshi's spine, trying to knock her forward.

The whoop should have alerted her, as much as she prided herself in being attentive and alert of her surroundings, but she was too busy staring at Tanzanite as she threw herself into battle. She had been holding her breath, pursing her lips into the tightest line. It was only in the last seconds before that foot connected with her shoulder that she realized her mistake.

The pain blossomed across her back as she was sent lurching forward, stumbling to try and keep her balance and prevent her face from eating the asphalt. One hand shot out to steady herself, but there was no time to wallow in her pain - she was well aware some skirted fool was coming down on her hot and heavy. She pushed herself up and dodged quickly to the side, trying to outsmart the senshi and get herself some room.

Once she was up, she turned back to face her, only to see the scantily clad senshi from Elysion. Was that even a fuku? She sneered.

"Come on then," she brought her hands up and made a 'come hither' expression, waiting for the second attack.

Teleportation was a b***h.

Ares let out an involuntarily gasp as a General-strength punch hit her squarely in the spine. She tumbled forward, tried to roll out of it, only half-succeeded. It put the girl on her knees and wincing against the knives stabbing into her lower back. She had to keep moving. Staying in one place meant dying.

Forcing herself to her feet, Ares did immediately turn to attack Tanzanite, but instead, led her toward the outer ring, away from Alkaid and the entourage of lieutenants and captains. She stumbled, maybe overtly so, and then turned to face her attacker, one fist already flying forward.

He had been glancing at Bismuthite, wishing him the best of luck and a reminder to keep sharp and keep safe by trying to send a message with his eyes, when he first felt the pricks of energy. They popped all about them, and he narrowed his eyes. So she had double enforcements. They sure were taking measures against them, but heck, they were mostly high ranking officers here and the ground was rather nice for cracking skulls. He doubted the cops would even patrol here and interrupt should they get loud. At least he was glad that Tanzanite had made measures to have backup and he was going to back her up as always.

Then he heard the snarky little voice. OKAY! Wolframite was SERIOUSLY getting pissed off at these eye jokes. It was cute when he did it because it worked, but everyone else saying it just really grated him the wrong way. Cyclops! HE WASN'T BORN WITH ONE EYE!

Turning about, he glared up….up…..up at the girl with his ONE eye. "Your time, Harpy." He could play the mythology game too. A simple "Hey b***h" would have worked, but he didn't play the swearing game at much.

Disliking her more for her height, he went for Gaia's legs, turning as he threw his leg out to try and hit her legs on the side and force her down. The taller you were, the harder you fell. He hoped he could crack a few bones in the process.

Gunn was tall, but not exactly a heavy girl. When he bucked his hips, she went over--unfortunately for Bismuthite, it was with her chest in his face. Fortunately for the Lieutenant, she was bowled the rest of the way over too, so it wasn't like he had to suffer for very long.

Her recovery was swift, pushing herself up on her palms to shift her torso, directing a sharp kick towards the silver-haired Negaverser's head. Whatever plan she might have had going in was completely forgotten in the rush to take Bismuthite out. For Rota. For revenge. Whether the kick hit or missed, she was getting back up, hands at the ready. It was as good a time as any to teach herself ambitexterity.

Or something.

There were a few familiar faces that Requiem wanted to lay a beat down into - Uranophane and Alkaid - but none of those revenge thirsts met the one she held for General Tanzanite, currently occupied by Ares. If there was one thing Requiem learned in Elysion, its that a two- or three-on-one isn't easy, and she didn't want to make this easy for Tanzanite.

Requiem charged towards Tanzanite, but had the smarts in her to keep out of arm's - and Arm's - way.

"Requiem Coffin!" she shouted, aiming her power at the General. If effective, it will trap her in a coffin, not too difficult to break out of for someone of Tanzanite's rank, that can shatter and leave remnants of wood.

Birhan laughed as the kick connected, bright and joyful. It was a promising start to a battle, even if the corrupted senshi was quick to recover. No matter what the blonde said, or how she sneered at Birhan (and her fuku), Birhan had made the first strike and that was a point in her books.

When the blonde didn't bother to return any attack, just gestured, Birhan raised her eyebrows. A quick shrug followed, then the redhead darted in. She threw a basic combo punch to sound the senshi out - left, left, right hard punch. Exactly the way she'd once taught a blonde civilian. But that was a standard move, so knowing it or the correct counter didn't mean anything, right?

Thank goodness for small miracles. As soon as Gunn was off of him, Bismuthite began to get up. Perhaps he should have just stayed down though. An ankle connected with his chin. Bismuthite heard his teeth clack together, and he was glad he hadn't been about to say something. That would have been a nasty bight to his tongue. Not that it hadn't hurt anyway.

It did make him mad, however. He got to his feet - or one foot and one knee, rather - and summoned his weapon as he swung at her with the same hand, hoping to slam the metal weapon against the side of her head. He'd use the momentum he'd get from getting fully on his feet behind the punch. Now for it to connect. Would it?

He wasn't exactly worrying about calculating aim at the moment, or the dodging potential. He was hoping speed would be on his side, for one thing. That and if it missed, he knew just how he'd follow up. But of course, all plans were good in theory.

Bones? No. Pride? Yes; but Gaia bounced up with a grin on her face that did not seem to falter even as she brushed asphalt off the side of her cheek. It was scraped all to hell, and stung like a b***h, but damn, things were looking up.

"Oh god, Harpy? Aren't those those... things. Clawy, bitey, lady things," Gaia scratched her head, ignoring the voice inside her that was yelling at her to stop with the stupid pantomimes, "gosh, I just didn't pay attention in History class, did I?"

Gaia spread her legs, giving herself firmer purchase on the ground, and bounced on the balls of her feet. Raising her fists, she brushed some more grit off her bloody cheek.

"Shucks, all I paid attention to in school was gym. Oh well."

She lunged for Wolframite, aiming a fist straight for his solar plexus. Which would have been a crotch shot for others. Small (get it?) blessings.

The last thing Tanzanite saw was Ares' fist coming at her, before the world collapsed first into darkness and then exploded into pain. The super senshi's fist collided with the wooden coffin that suddenly encased her, forcing sharp splinters deep into the exposed skin of Tanzanite's stomach. The General gave a low, outrage snarl, the telltale blackness creeping into the corners of her vision. The wet, warm feeling of blood oozed down her bare stomach, and Tanzanite felt a wave of nausea overcome her.

She swayed within the box, fingers wrapping around Ares' wrist. It took one hard push to shove the senshi of smoke away, and Tanzanite burst from the wooden box like a team of enraged, half-youma football players tearing through some poorly made paper banner at a Homecoming game. What part was not broken was picked up in both hands, and the General swung the remnants of Requiem's own attack was wielded like a baseball bat, aimed right for the Senshi of Burial's face.

Bitches.

A set of rapid footsteps alerted Uranophane before she caught sight of the senshi attacking her. Whipping around in the direction of the sound, she was met with a fist smacking with full force into her jaw -- the captain's head whipped backward from the impact, and she hopped back a couple of steps to avoid taking more hits while she sized up her opponent. It was some random super senshi, with red hair.

Not much to go by. She maliciously hoped that this one would at least have a realistic amount of nerve endings, and her glove shot forward, intent on yanking down a lock of Lyra's hair.

Part of Requiem's training had been to help use her attack in conjunction with others, something she beautifully demonstrated in boxing Tanzanite. Unfortunately, Ares had not see in coming and was thusly shocked when her fist suddenly sailed through wood. Most of the splinters found their way into the pale flesh of the Nega, but when she forced Ares' fist back out, the senshi got her own taste of the chipped and stabbing wood.

Ares took two steps backwards, ripping the biggest hunk of wood from her wrist and tossing it to the floor. "Well-played, cadet," she said quickly, an involuntary response. It was a short-lived victory. Tanzanite burst out of the coffin like the most terrifying of jack-in-the-boxes.

As she swung for Requiem, Sailor Ares launched herself at the Nega's back, wrapping both legs around her torso and aiming a punch to the side of her throat.
