"It isn't so much about the weak females I've met, as the number of males I've met that seem to expect them to be weak. You act just as boorish as them, I cannot help but associate you. Would you not thought me some form of weak had I just moved at your unkind demand that I move, no courtesy or respect reflected in your..." She trailed off. The male was leaving and so there was no need to further trade arguments with him.
Luckily she didn't really give two twigs what he thought of her. "Nevermind, just good riddance." She gave Kouki another amused look. "Thank you for your attempt to be sensible and polite, it was appreciated." She nodded her head in acknowledgement.
Kouki looked down at his paws in shame. Maybe he had charged in without knowing the whole story. It was hard to tell without hearing the whole conversation. Really though it sounded to him like it was just a giant misreading of the other's intentions and thoughts, which was sad really. He gave the female a small smile and then turned to follow after Phrixus.
He felt the most shame at Phrixus's sarcasm about supporting him. Not only did he feel shame, but it stung at him like someone had ripped a set of claws through his own skin. Hadn't Phrixus made a point to support him in all of his hopes and dreams even if he didn't really understand them? After out of hearing range of the lioness he spoke up. "I'm sorry Phrixus..." He offered sounding miserable. "I should have gotten your side first. I'm a bad brother."

Grand. Now Kouki's extensive feelings were acting up. Damn he was sensitive. Phrixus took the time to get back to his normal white coat and rinsed in the water. After a good shake he said, "Kouki, you're not a bad brother." Phrixus bumped his shoulder with his and gave his ear an affectionate older brother lick.
"You're only trying to protect the masses from my evil ways. It's ok, I know you like to do that. Besides, I wouldn't have left with you if I thought you were a bad brother. You need looking after, like I guess I need a conscience. But there is one thing that is bothering me." He paused to look at him with a teasing cast to his face, "I wash plenty, where do you get off saying I stink? I mean wet fur isn't the best smell ever... but seriously man, I may not smell like flowers but I don't stink."
Maybe Kouki would lighten up now. Ah Priorities.

Finally it seemed that Isuke'Boon was going to get her bit of peace. Though of course it cost her a scratch on her shoulder to get it, but still, alone at last. She began focusing her energy on cleaning her wound properly. She didn't mind scars so much but this was one she'd preferred healed up nice and clean. The fewer memories about this day, the better.
After she finished that task she laid her head upon her paws and thought a bit. Had the male been right? She wondered about it, but not for too long. Isuke'Boon wasn't one to dwell on thoughts that she ultimately found unimportant. Instead she allowed herself to drift off for a well deserved nap.
Kouki brightened as Phrixus focused his effort on cheering him. Maybe he shouldn't have taken what Phrixus had said so seriously, since he obviously didn't feel that way. He was even being affectionate with him. "Well that's true, I don't think I'd do well on my own. And I guess in a way you wouldn't on your own either." He gave a laugh about the stinking thing. "Ok well.... you don't really stink. Most of the time." Kouki gave Phrixus a teasing smile.
