Zeta lifted her head at the other pack's alpha as he walked away, watching him and deciding that he reminded her of her own father in the way he was proud and knew he was an alpha, and that was final. Looking over at the three staying with Silver, she kept her eyes on the dark blue female; she certainly caught attention, her coloring beautiful. The male was a little intimidating, and the orange and white female flashy. She wondered if she would be able to blend in while hunting or stalking.

Trance, the male with white fur but a black belly took his eyes off of his new alpha, and looked at Silver. "Would it be better for us to start exploring now or in the morning?" He asked, "This place is wild vampire territory. We're safest in the day light, but not knowing this area, I can't think of a safe place to rest tonight."

Zeta turned her head to look at Trance curiously and then to Silver for his answer to this. She, of course, agreed with Trance. She had never fought a vampire personally, having only seen one once many years ago and it was killed by her mother.

Zeta decided that Yoru was both attractive and intelligent, maybe strong enough because of that to be able to take over a pack if she needed to. That was a good thing to have around, in case she should ever die, because her crimson and black female with her was no assertive in any way and could not handle tasks like that. Though, they still had much to learn about each other. There would be time for this.

Her wolves introduced themselves respectfully. The white male she stood by stood tall and proud as he said, "Kohja." Next the dark, duo-colored female raised her voice a little and had trouble making steady eye-contact, "I'm Astrila." And finally the well-built male on the end of white and black, "Trance."

Again, Zeta looked down to Trance when he spoke and wagged her tail appreciatively. He spoke so rarely that she learned to love hearing him, her father saying his words a treasure because they were only used when needed. He moved his eyes towards her in recognition and gave her half a smile, about the best he could do, and she perked her ears up in encouragement because he'd been a cold and unfriendly male at first and had only come out of his shell recently.

She looked back to the other wolves she would have to learn about and said to Yoru, "Making one would be good ...you know, in case the vampire's nest is in a cave around here, assuming we could find one." Her socialization with outside members was underused and now Zeta was pretty much out of it for the day and she lifted her head to move between Kohja and Astrila to feel more assured.

Zeta watched Yoru calmly. She didn't appreciate the glare, but she had been raised to be a lady, whether she acted like one or not, and let it pass over her head. Standing, she looked at Astrila, who was watching her just as curiously. Astrila was friendly to everyone, which worried Zeta because sometimes she got hurt when she didn't need to. Still, taking Astrila hunting was not an option; she was perfect for figuring out things and healing injuries or anything, but there was no violence in her. Especially not to an animal.

"Stay here, honey," Zeta told her, looking up at the two males. Kohja was dominant in most things he did, and that bothered her own ego as much as it might bother Silver, who was alpha over him. Trance over killed on hunts, too... if you needed to stock up for winter, you sent Trance to bring down a whole herd of deer. So Zeta turned back to Silver and said, "It'll just be us this time -- Kohja won't let anyone get lost while we're gone." She turned her head back to him and smirked back at his expression.

Zeta walked off a little ways, and looked back to see if Silver was coming, too. Whether he was or not, she was going.

Kohja liked the shy look of the female wolf, and while he was not shy, he also had no Shut Up filter, and might accidentally scare or step over a line. Astrila made the first move thankfully and lowered her head to look non-threatening. They were pack-mates now, and they had to start somewhere. "You could help me," she said, "You know, go to the river and fill up these deer-skin bags so no one has to get up alone." She reached around to pick up a pair from where they had been sitting earlier.

Zeta walked along on high alert. She had been picky about scents and sounds from the time she was learning to track rabbits when her brother had leaped out of the snow at her and scared her half-to-death. His matching white coat having hidden him. "Kohja or Astrila will be near her," she replied, "Both are friendly ...Trance isn't, but they are." Her eyes dimmed in thought and she grew quiet.

((*pouts* I have been trying to do the picture thing like you did, I even tried to use the format you had and it did not work. I will try another way after this but we'll see. *sigh*))

Kohja stepped up to the plate while he could, curious about any female around him since he was a hormone-driven male most of the time. He naturally stood tall and fanned his tail with anxious pleasantry. "Its just a thirty second run into the woods," he told Karin. Astrila rolled her eyes at her pack-mate and easily shoved him aside with her paw, sending him stumbling sideways for a couple of yards with a surprised expression while she resumed her calm air and smiled at the nervous female. "We'll come straight back, okay?" She said, her body language lowered to look less intimidating with her thick coloring.

Zeta disapproved of the word 'training' when she already knew Trance could not even be tamed. He had snapped at her before for waking him up and another time when he was hungry and had no tolerance for being talked to. He had calmed down and become more a little more social and polite in the years they had been around each other, but he would never be a real 'pack-mate.' "We're only together by agreement," she replied, almost quietly, "If you want us to be together like mates, you'll have to earn it -- I have never picked a suitor."

Astrila turned and loped off into the trees with Karin, each carrying a deer-skin bag. "He'll be fine," she told her, "He lived through raising Zeta after being taken in when he was an abandoned youngster, so he can make it through everything." She could smell the river and, soon enough, could see it, too. Slowing down, she wagged her tail a little towards Karin and held onto the strap of her bag as she dripped it in.

Zeta raised her hackles and moved a step or two away from Silver's side, continuing their walk. "I don't," she replied shortly, "Why would I love someone I met an hour ago? Just like you cannot love me when you don't know anything personal about me." Zeta, despite appearances, was a softy. Given some time, she would grow used to Silver's presence and accept him on more than just an assigned pack level.
