"Yes," she said with a nod, "though I learned when I was still very young. I spoke French with my mother and English with my friends." She gave a light laugh at his comment, marking her page and shutting the book. "I love learning," she said, head tucked down. "Under more normal circumstances I would still be in school now. I suppose I'm trying to make up for that, in a way." Besides, it was fun to take in new things, and more fun to find ways to work the knowledge into her occupation. "What do you do for entertainment then?"

"I like the outdoors, even in bad weather." he smiled a bit to himself. "Sitting in a class room bores me, it's not really applicable to anything. Not saying books aren't good, they have a use, but to sit around and learn all day is just annoying." College was much better then the 8 to 3:30 classes of his child hood, but the homework killed him. He never had the patients to commit himself to anything he didn't want to learn. "So, I gusse to answer your question, raids. They are pretty fun and challenging." before the explosion had been a lot of fun on the last one he had been on.

She nodded, "I rather like the outdoors as well. I just got back from a bit of exploration, actually. Traveled all over Kodo to see the different landscapes." And to buy different books along the way, from dramas to manuals for study. It had been a fruitful adventure.
Mention of raids in the same context as entertainment caused her to furrow her brow. "I'd have to disagree there, but I suppose we've had different experiences with the missions... I nearly lost my arm to a Ho-Oh in the last one I attended." And then they'd lost the Ho-Oh to Galactic, ugh. She'd need to have words with those people some day, with 'words' equating to 'swift vengeance.'

Traveling sounded fun, he had done his share of that so far. He was always up for more. He would soon no longer be short on money, and would get the chance to go out more.
He half wondered why she was allowed on another one so shortly after the ball room incident, but decided not to comment. "I don't know much of that one. Everyone came back in a foul mood, what happened exactly?" Nyx hadn't said much, but they had had a rash of bad experiences with raids, probably the fault Will... Lance, now in the brig.

"I'm not one hundred percent sure myself. We fought a Ho-Oh, and I was injured in the fray. My memory of the events that followed are... hazy, at best. What I've heard is that Team Galactic showed up just as the Ho-Oh was weakened enough to be captured and took it from us." She recalled sending her pokemon to fight against... something. Something multi-colored. "We recovered the Ho-Oh's egg, though, so it wasn't a total loss."

He nodded. That was about the gist of what he had managed to hear. "A Ho-Oh egg is pretty good, but that sucks. Still, I wouldn't mind giving Team Galactic the what for over that. Not the first time they have stuck their nose into Team Rocket business." One had managed to find the base, and he was in the brig as far as Panther knew.
