I hope it's all fake. They are far too cute together.

However, if Richie needs another female to turn to, my arms are open all night. wink

As are mine.

My mom joked today and said 'Ok, well I'm going to call Richie and tell him that we feel really bad and he can have me... or you'

In November, Heather Locklear and Richie Sambora were "together." In December, the actress and the Bon Jovi guitarist were "happily married." But now it's February--and they're divorcing.

Locklear, 44, did the filing deed Thursday in Los Angeles, citing irreconcilable differences and asking that the celebrity couple's prenuptial agreement be enforced.

"This is a private matter, and there will be no further comment at this time," Locklear publicist CeCe York said in a statement.

The release had Locklear and Sambora's marriage as lasting 10 years, but it actually passed the 11-year mark last December, around the same time the couple shushed whispers of their imminent demise.

"The real story is that there is no story," Locklear and Sambora said at the time in a statement to the New York Daily News. "The truth is that after 11 years together, we are still happily married. Boring but true."

Earlier, in November, a Locklear rep told E! Online columnist Ted Casablanca that the couple was very much "together." A Casablanca source had insisted the couple was very much apart.

Locklear and Sambora, 47, wed in 1994 in Paris. It was her second marriage; his first. The couple have an eight-year-old daughter, Ava.

In the divorce filing, Locklear requests joint custody, but also actual physical custody, of her and Sambora's child.

In November, Casablanca quoted a Sambora source as saying the rock star was "spending a lot of time in New Jersey." Per the rumor mill, the couple grew apart in 2004 while Locklear worked on the short-lived NBC series LAX, Casablanca reported.

In the Daily News in December, reputed Sambora insiders unloaded on Locklear, saying the former Melrose Place vixen needed "24-hour-a-day [butt]-kissing," rejected her husband's wishes for a second child and annoyed his Bon Jovi bandmates.

"If Richie divorced her," an unnamed source told the newspaper, "nobody would be heartbroken."

By Thursday afternoon, Us Weekly was on filing watch at the downtown L.A. courthouse, blaring in an email that "several sources close to the couple" had confirmed the beginning of the end was nigh.

Locklear previously tried marriage to a rock 'n' roller from 1985 to '92 with Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee, 43--an amped-up, Spinal Tap 11 compared to the low-key Sambora.

A TV institution thanks to starring roles on Dynasty, T.J. Hooker, Spin City as well as Melrose Place, Locklear most recently appeared on ABC's Boston Legal in October.

Bon Jovi, the sturdy, hook-handy rock group of "Livin' on a Prayer" and "Wanted Dead or Alive" fame, is currently on tour. The band is scheduled to play Thursday night in Washington, D.C.

So Heather's a b***h? Now I'm confused. Oh well.

I hope Richie and Ava come out on top of this all. I wish them all the best.

Okay, from what I've heard Heather filed the papers, and didn't tell Richie. So Richie was going around saying everything was fine because he thought it was. You'd think the husband would be one of the first to know.

I feel so bad for Richie. That's gotta be horrible to go through something like that, especially when it's all in the media.

I also heard that Heather wants full custody of Ava, giving visitation rights to Richie. I don't think that's right. Richie should be able to see Ava whenever he wants, and spend as much time with her as he wants whenever he wants. If he wants her to spend time at his house, he should be aloud to do that.

I really hope everything works out for Richie and Ava.

Richie Sambora had no idea his wife Heather Locklear filed for divorce on Thursday, because he continued to deny reports they were splitting right up until he received court papers.

The Bon Jovi rocker was preparing for a concert in Washington DC and spoke with ABC News Radio where he denied reports that they were going their own separate ways.

He insisted, "It's completely untrue. I'm going home. Heather was just up for our anniversary and that was December 15... I was home for two and a half weeks over Christmas, and I have a month off in March, so it's going to be good."

The Melrose Place actress had already filed the divorce papers hours earlier and her publicist issued a statement announcing the split.

When Richie was told of the news reports announcing the separation, he still denied they were divorcing and said he even had Valentine's Day plans with his wife.

The divorce documents cited "irreconcilable differences" and Locklear has asked for physical custody of their daughter, AVA, and requested visitation rights for Sambora.

Tommy Lee, your ex is available again! Yes, actress Heather Locklear is shucking another rock star/husband, this time Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora, People magazine reported Thursday night.

In divorce paperwork filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court, Locklear requests custody of the couple's 8-year-old daughter, Ava Elizabeth, with visitation rights for Sambora. The usual "irreconcilable differences" is given as cause, but dig this: According to the divorce petition, the couple signed a prenuptial agreement that divides their assets.

And they started out so well. The couple, married Dec. 17, 1994, in Paris, were introduced by Locklear's friend, makeup artist Lisa Christy. Seven months later, Sambora, whose little black book included stars like Cher, proposed.

The day after the proposal, Locklear, who had ended her marriage to the legendary lothario Lee and was then starring on "Melrose Place," proudly flashed her pear-shaped diamond engagement ring from Cartier while attending the Emmys. Ah, memories.

That is so sad. I'm really starting to dislike Heather. I mean, only visitation rights? What a b***h.

You can tell Richie loves Ava to death.

I hope it all works out for Richie and Ava.

I think she's a b***h now. She filed the papers before she told Richie. So Richie was doing interviews saying everything was fine, because he believed it was. Then he gets the divorce papers. Can you imagine how he must have felt?

I really hope they do joint custody for Ava. That little girl should get to spend equal time with both her parents. You can tell Richie completely adores her.

I know! I can't believe Heather'd do that!

It's so mean! You'd think the husband would be the first to know, not the last.
PostPosted: Sun Feb 05, 2006 5:25 pm

Exactly. I'd feel so bad if I did that to my husband.
