"I dont have a lot of stuff," he looked down at the little star and shrugged a little, swinging his leg over the edge of the box and hopping inside. Plopping onto his rear next to the star, he batted at it and watched it slide, bouncing off the side of the box. "They've only remembered to take the trash from here once or twice, this building has no humans in it," he pointed to the wall closest to them.

When Gabriel tried to point out where he lived, however, Bae perked his ears up and stood, peeking over the side of the box to look in the directions that the other was pointing.

"So you're lost?" He asked curiously, looking up to Gabriel after a moment, "I bet your humans are worried. I used to have humans," he mused, smiling at him a little, "Want help? I can walk with you to look for them." It was always better with company, right?

"You have a box," he argued, thinking that was plenty enough to protect. Though, Gabriel had been lost for a few days at that point, so anything more than nothing seemed like a lot to him.

At the offer, though, he seemed to perk right up. Maybe he'd judged this cat too soon! "You'd help me?" He asked excitedly; perhaps a little too excitedly, as he lost his balance and tumbled backwards into the box with a thump and an "oof!" Nevertheless, he was crawling out a moment later, wiggling to hoist himself over the side.

"You bet! With two of us looking, we can't miss them! Maybe we can look for your humans, too?" Since Bae mentioned humans, Gabriel assumed he must be lost, too.

"That's true," he did have a box. But the box was too big to move very often, so he just found new boxes when his old ones disappeared. The star was special, he had some scraps of fabric, and the paper ball he could replace easy. But maybe he should look at what he had as more than just..nothing.

Smiling when the other got so excited, he blinked and watched him tumble, though he couldn't ask if he was okay quickly enough, the other feline got right back up. Well, at least he seemed happier now.

At the mention of his own humans, he flicked his ears back momentarily, then perked them up, "Nah, lets just look for yours," he said quickly, reaching down to grab the star to shove into one of his pockets. Might as well keep the pretty star in case they couldn't get back here.

"Wanna go now, then? We can grab something from the market on our way out."

Gabriel, once on the edge, let himself tumble the opposite way so that he rolled on the ground once, twice, then stood on his feet to brush himself off with a nod. "Well. . . Okay. If you change your mind, I'll help you look, though." It was beyond him as to why someone wouldn't want to look for their humans if they were lost, but whatever floated Bae's boat.

"I've never been to the market before," he went on to tell him, reaching around himself to straighten the fur of his tail out, not liking the little tufts poking up near the tip from where he'd rolled. Once that and his hair was fixed, he grinned brightly up at Bae. "So I guess that means you're leading the way."

Maybe this could be fun. Sure, he wanted to get home, but as long as he was lost, he might as well make the best of it. "I'm ready when you are!"

Nodding, he plopped onto the ground from the edge of the box and brushed himself off, fixing his scarf and hair as he brought the other out of the alleyway, "The market is fun, as long as you dont mess with the humans. Some of them give cats free food though," mostly because they weren't very good, but food was food.

"A lot of cats steal from there, so humans dont like us much," Bae had stolen a time or two. Mostly at night when they're packing up, though, so the food isn't the freshest.

"What were your humans like?"

"Then I guess we'll just have to show them that not all of us are so bad," Gabriel stated, deciding that even though other cats had left a poor impression on the humans, they could certainly remedy that by being polite guests and maybe giving out free leg rubs. Obviously, he was pretty naive to the opinions of stray cats.

Beaming at the question, he launched into an explanation. "They were from Australia, so when they moved here, they adopted me. They were so cool!" He nodded, as if to confirm his own words.

"They'd stay up late and watch movies a whole lot. Usually about kung-fu!" To demonstrate, he waved his arms wildly in some ridiculous pattern that was supposed to, probably, resemble a fighting maneuver, as he made some sort of swooping sound effects with his mouth. "They'd never share their popcorn, though," he sighed sadly with a shake of his head.

"What about yours?"
