The dark male paused at that. What was his customs? Well, he didn't really have any. Seeing the angry mare's fangs reminded him that angering her might not be in his best interest.
"Well...uhm...not sure. But I haven't heard of anyone belonging to anyone just because another one says so... And I thought males were generally the protectors..."

"Seaman-Yah Vazsurage? That's a hell of a long name." He butchered her name horribly- it sounded much better when she had said it. "Err...do you possibly have a nickname...?"

She would have corrrected him, but the sounding out would have made her "s''s worth. She let out a low, but agreeable hiss. "Semmy. " She considered his name for a moment before trying it, squinting her eyes up a bit "Raisssvissss"

He snorted at the extra 's' in his name. It didn't bother him, that'd be hypocritical if it did, after all. However, to make it easier for Semmy, as she was now known to him, he decided to shorten his name.
"Would 'Vis' be easier for you to say?"

He nodded. The odd bird was growing on him slightly. However that last bit? It went right over his head.
"Why don't I what? What's unusual?" The hissing was entertaining, but he didn't speak hiss. Though, now that he thought about it, adding S's to everything he said could be slightly entertaining. Well, to him, at least. Maybe not to her...
