t h e C a r d M a s t e r T.T You prove a very... cliche beginning of a relationship. I'm sorry.. I have to ask.. How many times have you created a story for a character or a character's history? Well, for a characters history/story, almost all of them. And I have about 150 cause Ive been in this character buiz for quite a while. Years really. And the fact that I draw a lot new characters are always being created. Just with the story Lilly's got that, like said that i didnt notice at first, a lot of fangirls do this kind of thing but, for ony my life relates to it, and 2 what I just now also realized, I typically do this when I join a guild and go into an in depth roleplay first because It's a character that I can control the easiest without making them go out of character. Guess then when Im confortable rping with other members I start comming up with different characters with different backgrounds for different rp's. So don't expect a whole lot of this kind of character is we start other rp's here.

Alright, brief summary of my idea so far. Forgive me if it's blunt and boring, my writing is far more interesting.
A young woman/or man is given a ticket to attend the mysterious Cirque Du Gothique show. Within the time they finally decide to go, either
a.) the character sees Loyal and decides to persue him b.) Loyal sees the character and decides to pursue them. (I personally like this idea better, far more self destructive and irregular, just like the good ol' Ringmaster)
That's all I have for now, anyone got ideas? o3o

Well, I suppose since it's just the creation that it's alright to go the cliche road, but more in depth history, the actual building of the character, you should try to avoid what some fan-girls abuse and do. There are stories where people have used hackneyed ideas, yet they convey it well. Your story is using those sort of ideas, but if you can pull it off, then we really can't say much about how common your themes are. ;3

XD
Wait, what do you mean pursue? Do you mean like romantically or physically chase down? [[Perhaps a little bit of both?]]
Hm.. I don't know why, but I feel like we can have a little game with this idea. You know like those one-line or one-paragraph stories? Maybe we can have one with this. X3

Perhaps the troupe is happy to see him pursuing romance and attempts to help him, (opportunity for some lighthearted comedy) But then later, something goes wrong and Loyal becomes unstable somehow...maybe Cordis can actually have something to do with it. Jealousy and whatnot. >3> Also paragraph stories are what I specialize in mostly, but yeah, that would be rad. :3

Though this easily could be some sort of romantic horror bit too.
:3 We can probably go ask one of the crews if we can get this 'event' or something going on. :3

Because for one I can relate and I threw mine off the stair ledge one day and 2 a girl on my friends list makes RingMaster fanfics and she has it as bad as me. So I really hope you werent just saying your the only one.

Just I typically relate my lives to my characters in newsituations, like in a new guild in the first rp. But please don't expet all my characters to be like this in all the rp's we have here.

Up near the top, budding romances, comedy...and as it slopes down it gets darker and less friendly...more unstable and psychologically twisted. c: We absolutely should~ That would be the most awesome thing. >w<

This thread is similar to that other one where we set-up the rp's main plotline, right? If so, back stories shouldn't be placed in this thread (they're more suited in OC's profile thread, or in another thread dedicated to how each members of the two circuses came to join either). We would want to discuss a more "general" plot as well, where the main characters has some sort of important role in the story. I'll post ideas, but I can't guarantee originality/depth/fun/etc.
Idea 1: Unknown vengeful spirit in Cirque du Noire (Not my Idea): Mystery This plot is the same to that of previous plot speculation thread, including Silent Cartoon's data item thread. Long ago (lol), a lady was gifted with power from God. This lady hated mankind's flaws (hatred, greed, etc), so she used the power to control mankind. A boy stood up to the lady, and managed to seal her inside the pendant. Years later, someone in the Cirque du Noire picks up the pendant. The lady inside the pendant lives through the wearer, turning innocents into hideous creatures. The wearer of the pendant won't remember what occurred during their time wearing the pendant. Here, we can have Cirque du Gothique questioning the acts of Cirque du Noire, which Cirque du Noire claims that they didn't do anything and doesn't support such acts. Cirque du Noire will admit that there is something going on in their place, but not sure who's responsible. (Mystery).
Idea 2: Wrong place at wrong time: A game of checker Cirque du Gothique is about entertainment, being proud of one's gift. Cirque du Noire is about the pain behind those used for entertainment. What I noticed about the current members between the two Circuses (right now), is that some member's personal beliefs/history is more suited in the other Circus than the one they are in now. There also seems to be no single back story indicating that the character met both circuses before joining one (they happen to bump into Loyal or Sil). So, once the members get exposed to the other circuses' ideals/etc, they will start questioning themselves, about whether they joined the wrong cause. The ringmasters will be concerned, since one will probably gain more new members than the other, and the lesser circus will complain. We'll have a turning point out there, probably a battle between the two, and once done, we could come up with the morale of the story.
Idea 3: The best Circus: People of neutral grounds, vote for your favorite! The two circuses will try for a popularity contest of some sort. Those who are not crew members of either circus will be the audiences/judges that decides which circus is more successful/better/etc. The criterias that must be rated on, are, character/unique-ness, customer service, variety of entertainments/attractions and how they fair, availability/distance, etc. Sorry, main members of two circuses, you can not change your character's abilities and/or change circuses. Oh yeah, minor rpers, you are to give your reasonings behind your rates and have it discussed between each other. We would like to make it fair for both parties so no biases/favortism allowed (wee, Gothique wins because Loyal's just cool, -gets shot-).
------ Abusive father or not, whether you can relate or not, does not matter in this roleplay (or any roleplay). What truly matter, is whether you can fit your character into the roleplay without being too insignificant to the actual plot line (or hogging the spotlight). This is something that's really hard to do, because not only do you have to consider other characters feelings/history/etc so that you can build up their relationships properly (you can't just go up and kiss Loyal and expect him to love you in return), you have to stay in character without throwing the storyline off into some distracting side quest unrelated to the main plot line (as if, your specialty's in lightening magic, but you all of a sudden, know how to use space magic as well).

Ok ok, how about this. Lilly gets a job at the Cirque Du gothique. The crew is suspicios of her current position (with her wounds) But leave it open and dont bombard question her about it. She works their for a while, but when her father finds out shes been using her powers for her job, he restricts her from showing up. Then everyone starts wondering and trying to figure out the cause of ehr absence, and THEN we get in depth with her situation with her father. Kinda just throwing that out there. It's an idea, and not so Loyal focused.

Uh.. Jackle, please don't get offended at Kage. I'm sure he means well. He's just trying to point out the fallacies in your argument and story. ^^;; [[Man, this feels like good cop, bad cop. D:]]Ha ha.. Somehow I can imagine it happening. Though, I suspect the character, not Loyal, would be just as messed up as he is for them both to fall into a strange relationship.Ah. The first one was Silent's idea with the amulet, right? I really liked that idea. Though, one person should be the spirit, so that they could guide entire possession idea. I like the second idea as well. I was wondering why all the profiles were lumped together into one thread, when it could be a bit easier and more organized with separated into the two circuses. It would be interesting especially for the Cirque du Noire one because Sil is rather open about her want of revenge against the other circus. As for the third one... Of course Loyal would win. XD Doesn't matter about nothing else. Though it does seem like a fun and cool event. Though, we might want to wait a bit since, as far as I can tell, there hasn't been a show yet for the du Noire circus. And I'm pretty sure some of the acts don't belong in the big tent. Blah, blah, sorry. I don't know why I'm writing so much.
