Kaze Taco They were almost identical!! "That videotape is where the dolls come from. It's cursed..." Kasumi stopped to give a loving hug to Belladonna. The lovely witch wasn't going to be on the boat with her either, but she knew Miss Bella was more than capable of taking care of herself. And she also noted the good witch's name was spelled wrong on the assignment sheet, courtesy of the gnomes. "Please be safe, Miss Belladonna! I'll be texting you to make sure you don't get too lonely on your boat, okay? Oh, and I'll bring you a lovely bow I found before we leave in the morning! I will see you safe and sound on the other side!"Now, back to the doll and the tape. Kasumi of course found the tape in her hand and giddily stuffed it in her pack for safe keeping. She would drop it off in her dorm that evening. No, the doll didn't scare her in the slightest. Actually, she was quite flattered that someone would bother to make a doll in her kind's likeness in the first place. "A cursed videotape? Oooooo yes that is quite clever. I like that!" the ghost tittered, smiling at the little doll at her feet. "She's so adorable! I love her! Now, I should probably introduce myself. I'm Kasumi! And you are, Miss...?"

Mandy returned Alwines hug just as tight, expression still pulled down in a deep frown. Alwine was a friend for all that it sometimes baffled her and she didn't like seeing any of her friends in possible danger with how few and far between they where.
Her expression was soften slightly as her lips threatened to twitch into a smile at Alwines comment, she didn't find it offensive, just the opposite- it was slightly hilarious. "Good ghoul Winnie, and don't worry I know that I need a boat to get back home."
The nice moment was unfortunately ruined by that doll interrupting once again to spread that accursed video tape. Hers was back at her dorm like a good doll at least. At least it wouldn't be following Alwine onto the boat to create chaos, one sensible thing the staff had done by banning minipets.
Her eyes flickered up from the doll when it's latest victim spoke up. "Kasumi? Your on my boat, I'm Mandy."

Sheridan had been decidedly unthrilled at the idea of a 'field trip', the first moment he had seen the notices his heart sank. It was supposed to be school break, an all too rare time to himself, to do as he wished, to bury himself in his books and maybe figure out that problem he had been working on so long, to relax under the stars by himself.
Perhaps he had hoped it was all just a cruel joke, it wouldn't have been unlike the staff to do such a thing would it? But as he read the note from the gnome, he had realized the chances of it being a joke were slim. No, less than slim, sitting in the auditorium, he knew it wasn't.
The dragon snorted, arms crossed over his favorite book. No pets? Great, then what was he supposed to do with that monster who inhabited his room? Who knew how long this trip was going to last, but it was certain that by the time he returned, his room (including all his books) would be shredded and left on the floor along with the remains of the pets that had fallen prey to the hel-lion. Maybe he'd get lucky and Tanaka would tear down the door and eat the rest of the school...
His tail twitched, boat 4? He had a bad feeling about this, though he wasn't sure why he should. His shipmates he really only knew in passing, perhaps a face or two he had seen before, but that seemed to be true of most everyone in the school. Sheridan hadn't really made much progress on 'friends' yet.

Oh this was going to be all KINDS of interesting. Sighing softly, Sharra schooled his face into something appropriately sympathetic for the situation. "This trip had better not be like the last one." He grumbled softly, squeezing her hand gently as they headed into the auditorium. Just managing to snag a seat, he pulled the marid lass into his lap, freymon and all, shifting so that she'd be comfortable.
As the rules were announced, he saw Herbert's tiny little scowl deepen, almost to the point of miniscule wrath. It was like he knew and only proceeded to burrow all the more stubbornly into his place in Yaya's arms, as though nothing would be able to separate the two should he be tenacious enough concerning the matter at hand.
Ah goodness...he was to be riding on a boat with West? Well, at the very least, that would make for a breathtaking trip. Barth was coming along too, though he rather thought that the other would spend a good portion of it napping, as the demon was wont to do. He knew a couple of the other passengers for his boat, but mostly by sight and nothing resembling actual acquaintance. Ah well, perhaps it would be a good chance to meet the others, since they were all attending the same school, after all. The more the merrier...he could hope.
Pursing his lips, he noted the rule against minipets and sighed softly, shaking his head. "Herbert is going to be utterly inconsolable..." He murmured, though in truth he was rather amused that the freymon was to be denied his favorite past time, whatever would he do in Sharra's rooms all alone? Ugh. In that case, perhaps it would be best to find him a babysitter.
Brushing a lock of the marid's ebony tresses over her ear, the boil made a rather irritated harrumphing sound. His ghoulfriend was going to be on the same boat as Christof. Well if that wasn't slightly disturbing, nothing was. Grand, and there was no one on that particular list that he trusted to ward him off in case he started to get dreadfully annoying. Well...there would be a copious amount of water about, perhaps it was one of those times wherein he'd just have to trust that Hadiyya could handle herself...as he was well aware she could...remembering all too well that spellbinding moment in the forest.

Junko was actually rather excited about this trip unlike the rest of the student body, apparently. She hadn't been intending on bringing her minipets anyway, especially after what they had experienced during their last trip. She'd leave them with a sufficient amount of treats and water just like last time. She was perched contently on Seiji's lap, having been sitting in her own seat until the ghost boil decided on this arrangement by pulling her up without warning; she was okay with that.
The ghoul was excited for the trip...until she saw the boat assignments. It started with Belladonna and Malodore. Okay...that was alright. She had more friends than them. Kasumi...oh dear...Natalia. She still didn't see her name. Deacon, Riley--OH! There she was! Chuppi...Nuk...
....Wh..where was Seiji? Or Yaya? Or Sin?
"Where's..." She whimpered, gasping when she saw Seiji's name. On a completely different boat. "Seiji! We're not on the same boat!" Junko cried in dismay. NOT COOL!

Alwine picked the doll back up and sat it on her lap with a resigned sigh.
"Well, it least Halloween is still a small world. I'm Alwine Van Brunt... I won't be on your ship, but it's a pleasure to meet you anyhow! I... ah.."
Alwine fidgeted and looked up at Mandy. She tried to show that she was relieved and gave a nod. "I'll be all right..."
She gave the doll another hug. "Kasumi, I am terribly sorry for seeming rude, and I hope you don't mind, but... what is this doll? I mean, you look so much like her..."
Victory, thought the Doll.

Ren was not surprised in the slightest when he found, during his reading the list time, a very familiar werewolf suddenly sitting in his lap.
"I can't believe I have to get up at seven in the morning for this," he said to her, lifting an arm to give her more room and then resting his head in his hand. "That is way too early - "
LW had snatched the paper from his fingers, reading over it with a relatively horrified expression. Ren himself was not very happy that his best friend was in an entirely different boat, as well as his ghoulfriend, but he supposed it would be a good time to make new friends, at the very least. However, he still was quite concerned for their well-being, especially after reading just who was on the boat with the shewolf.
He slid a suspicious glance at LW, pointing at one of the names. "Would this happen to be a demon you know, darling?" he said, eying the neatly typed Carthusia. His gaze swept down further to see Sarias just beneath Chuppi and an eyebrow quirked. "Oh," he said. "I see you have an, er...shall we say...interesting boat."
Mildly worried about what might happen with LW and Sarias on the same boat together, Ren glanced around the crowded auditorium, looking for Alessa and Jove. He knew Gabrian was also somewhere in the room, but at the moment Ren was more concerned about his ghoulfriend and the favor he needed to ask her. Reaching down, he reached into his pocket and pulled out his skellyphone:Text From Ren to Alessa Babe, where are you? Are you in the auditorium? I'm with LW; we're near the left side, four rows from the back. Come find us or tell me where you are so I can find you!

Kaze Taco Victory, thought the Doll. Kasumi gave Miss Alwine and Miss Mandy a deep and respectful bow. She was honored to meet them both, and Mandy was on her boat as well! This was definitely a fortunate situation she'd found herself in for more reasons than one. "It's a pleasure to meet you both, Miss Alwine and Miss Mandy. I look forward to being on the boat with you. Do you know anything about this trip, or are we all, figuratively and literally, on the same boat as far as information is concerned?" Kasumi tapped her fingers against her leg, watching the doll with a gleam in her eye as if she'd met a family member she hadn't seen in a great long time. Obviously, the doll made Miss Alwine somewhat nervous, and understandably so. Kasumi herself looked like a larger version of the doll, minus a tape. The onryo shook her head when the other ghost thought she may be being rude by asking questions. "It's not rude at all! To be honest, I'm quite flattered that another one of us exists somewhere nearby, even if in doll form. She's quite cute. What is her name, by the way?" Leaning down, Kasumi sought to get a better look at the doll. "If I'm right, she's supposed to be an onryo, just like me. We're ghosts, as I'm sure you already know, but I don't believe I know what kind of ghost you are? Or what... monster, I think, you are, Miss Mandy?"

First off Sammy was tired of field trips. All they ever lead to was pain, suffering, and more pain, why would she want to go on this one again? It was mandatory that was why, yes, lovely. They would probably be attacked in the middle of an ocean ships destroyed by robot-elf-demon-deer-things. Continuing to listen to the rules her jaw dropped.
"You're putting me on a boat and you won't let me bring one mini!? Ixxy is a water Scareon for cripes sake she practically belongs on a boat!" Arms in the air Sammy let out a very audible groan of irritation. She made note that all her luggage would contain is survival gear.
Again she went back to studying the information of her boat and let out another groan. "Dr. HYDE!? That careless p***k is going to get us all killed! I want onto Red's boat! Jack-forbid something happens and knowing this school something HORRIBLE will happen just like those crazy robots and a freaking DRAGON in Christmas town; I want a teacher who at least knows how to fight and not just sit around doing.... nothing!"
Flopping back into her seat she scanned the list of names again, Siddie was on the boat, that would be nice, Christof too, she didn't know the boil personally per say, but he was apparently close to the Doc and Riley to pass in her bo-
Oh Jack, Tess was on the ship, wasn't that the girl who's jaw she nearly obliterated during the battle of the bands?
"I should have just stayed in that grave instead of waking back up again...." she mumbled.

She found the note under her door; it was slightly bloody and moist, like... Oh, a gnome probably tried to sneak in and got attacked by one or more of her pets.
Of course, she had hurried down to the auditorium just in time to hear Arel's little speech and receive her boat assignment... Which made her stare at the piece of paper in dismay. She was going to be on a boat - meaning she would be surrounded by a huge body of water - and she had been assigned on the same boat as Calder. The Kelpie had been nice when he came to help her in her room, but... They were going to be surrounded by water and she still can't swim! What if he lost himself again?
She sighed, scanning the list and seeing not even one familiar name - nobody to cling to during the trip and save her if she goes overboard. Taking out her skelephone, she pouted, sending Amrita a short text as she leaned against the wall of the auditorium, unable to find a seat in all the chaos.
"Amrita, where are you? )8"

Mandy looked slightly flattered at Kasumi's respectful greeting, most people weren't thatvpolite these days. "Aaah, nice to meet you as well. Unforutantly we are indeed as uninformed as you, the staff appear to want to keep everything about this hush-hush."
When Kasumi mentioned she was happy that the doll was around Mandy tilted her head thoughtfully before mentioning one small fact, "I also have one of these dolls in my company, she's currently back in my dorm room; she prefers to stay there.". She felt the need to clarify that the doll stayed there of it's own will seeing as this ghoul and the dolls did seem alike.
Finally finding out what exactly the dolls where Mandy made a mental note to do some research on them when they got back, or find out more on the trip. "Not many people know what I am, Drop Bears aren't that common, specially with how most of us stick to our forests."

Hadiyya was quite content to take a perch upon her boil's lap, regardless of whether there had been enough seats or not, and she arranged herself so she could lean back against his chest with the wrap of his arm around one side. Once she was comfortably settled the mini in her lap did a bit of his own shifting before all but sprawling between the djinn's copious bosom with her hands absently gliding down his spiked back.
At least until it was discovered that pets weren't allowed. That wee little body tensed, and Yaya glanced down to see his tiny features contoured in rage. "Truly," she agreed, stroking a finger between his ears. "Poor little guy."
Dread had settled like lead weight in her stomach, and she barely reacted beyond a disappointed scowl as the boat assignments were given out and she discovered that, once again, she would not be sharing time with those she was closes with. This time at least there were a few familiar names on the list, so she wouldn't be so very alone as she had been on the train. For that small thing she was thankful.
By the harrumphing sound in her ear, it was obvious the nergal's opinion on the matter was not the same as her own, and she knew very well why. His concerns were appreciated, and she could do little to comfort him but lay a kiss against his temple. Worst come to worst, there would be an infinite amount of water around them, and it wasn't uncommon for stray waves to wash sailors off their boats..
------------------------------------------------------------
Having plucked the futakuchi-onna from her chair and seated her comfortably on his lap the ghost boil was feeling pretty good about the assembly to come. At least until the boat assignments were given out.
Like Junko he too read down the list, neutral features darkening as he noted he was not to be sharing a boat with is ghoulfriend. Well wasn't that just fantastic. The ghoul's whimper was echoed by an unhappy groan as the boil slumped back in his seat, slinging his gangrenous arm over Junko's lap as he searched for the names of the few friends he'd managed to make so far.
Not a single one was in his boat. Bul was with Yaya, and Sarias was actually with Junko, and for some reason that gave him a bad feeling. "I don't know anyone on my boat, do you?" Maybe J could fill him in on who was who so he wouldn't be going in blind.

Alwine sat the Doll aside and stood up to repay Kasumi's bow with a low curtsy.
"It's nice to meet you as well. If only you had been there when I first got the tape, it would have saved me a lot of stress...."
Though, it looked like Alwine was the one who was worried the most. The first student she gave a tape to didn't seem to mind that much, and Mandy was tough! Mandy was even tougher than West...
"I am a haunt. My family is known for preferring to haunt one specific area, and repeating the same motions year after year after year... it's what we're known for."
Alwine perked up.
"Oh! And we're also all headless. So... onryos... Samara here seems rather angry-- almost vindictive-- for a doll, I mean. Are you.. .all...?"

Who was on his boat? Junko looked again, looking very noticeably brokenhearted. "Calder, he's nice. A huge hopeless romantic. I met Jove while Yaya was teaching us how to swim; he's really quiet, and really shy...ummm...I've never actually spent any time with Lizzy other than seeing her in class and at..detention." She shuddered. "She seems nice. Thackery too, he looks fun. Aymet's fun...I don't know who Draven is, or Aldara. Elaphe..Elaphe..." Junko tilted her head. Where did she know the name Elaphe from? She couldn't remember! She wished she could. She didn't know Charlie either..but she hoped she helped Seiji some? Junko was at least lucky to be on a boat with some people she knew!
"This isn't fair, I wanted to be on a boat with you." Junko whined, curling up on Seiji's lap. She wanted to be with Seiji and Bella and Yaya and Riley and Kasumi andandand why couldn't she be with more of her friends? Not fair.
And why was she with Red of all professors? Red scared her!

Mac had been one of the ones who managed to get a seat, rather than an armrest. Despite the heavy air about this trip, the Reaper was absolutely delighted to be able to be on a boat. He liked boats. Loved them, even. His current career path was 'Ferryman', so it made sense really.
He was thankful that he didn't know anyone on his boat; that meant no crying Lizzy, no Charlie to babysit (or prank/be pranked by)...not to mention it was a great way to make contacts friends. When it was time to leave - or at least when Arel left - he had gotten up to make his own exit, which was hastily interrupted when he spotted Lizzy near the exit closest to him. Well, Jack. His escape route was compromised.
Stupid Demon ghoul.
Instead, he looked around, listening to the conversations around him and hoping to hear something that he could distract himself with until the Demoness left. This, of course, had him spotting the ghoul who had shrieked earlier, Alwine, and catching her introduce herself nearby. There was an Alwine on his boat, and he was pretty sure he didn't hear that name elsewhere. He debated how rude it would be to interrupt the ghouls, and the outcome of his admittedly short internal debate was quickly obvious.
"You're Alwine, yeah? Mac. Looks like we're going to be on the same boat." Then, his black eyes drifting over to the other ghoul, added. "Oh, Sorry for interrupting." As innocently as he could, as though he didn't mean to at all.
