}Meaning of Name{ Sashiko is a name of one of my very first roleplaying characters. Since Sashiko was my first lion... and I lacked crativity then, he gained the name of my first rp character.

}Personality{ Sashiko is an easy going lion plain and simple... well... that is once you get to know him. He is hard to crack and isn't one to wear his emotions out on his paw. His eyes will sparkle with mischief when he's in a good mood or shine with anger when he's not. It's hard to make him angry but if you do, I fee sorry for the poor soul.

}History{ Sashiko grew up in his father's pride, Oba's Pride, where he matured into the fine tuned adult he is, but not without the help of his birdly companion Deatiku. He became close with his brother Reid, while he hardly mingled with his other brother and his sister. He never really got out and about to meet other people. The only other lion he met outside his family was Mekare, but they became close and Sashiko in a way became his older brother. His life was easy and the pride did well, as he grew older he would sneak away at night to lie beside the stream and gaze at the stars, trying to find the 'lights'. He had heard of lights that are comparable to none, a sight rarely seen.

It was one night down at the river that he met a lioness of the name Crudelis. They talked for a while and Sash began to relize that a pride life wasn't for him. He joined Crudelis in her travels and they headed north to the mountains. Crudelis showed him snow and he was amazed, for living in the savannah all his life he hadn't ever heard of such things. After a night together Sashiko began to feel something for Crudelis, whose family she had left behind, even her sons. As they traveled further north he became fonder of her. It was when they reached the frozen Oasis and he had first experiance ice, he knew he wanted to be with her forever.

Now as their life together slowly develops he appriciates her company more, never wanting to be seperated from her. Together they have had two beautiful daughters, both who had joined them on their wanderings until they had grown, leaving them to travel on their own again.

It waasn't long before Kubau, one of his daughters, joined their travels again. She stayed with them for a while but began slipping away when they got to a certain area. Sash's suspisions rose but when she joined them to leave he cast the thoughts away. During one of the occasions she left she returned with a male, his name Anumati. Now Sashiko knew what she had been doing. Anu traveled with them for a while before Kubau said they were leaving, the two of them heading to the frozen Oasis. With a grin on his face he watched the two leave.

It was a long while before Kubau met back up with him. But this time she was bringing someone other then Anumati. She carried a son, saying that her other child was with her mate. Now offcially feeling old Sash let Kubau leave on her own, to be with her family. And once more, he was alone with Crudelis. Just the way he liked it...

}Meaning of Name{ Mekare is special like Sashiko becuase it is also one of my roleplaying characters, again I lack creativity and this is how he got his name.

}Personality{ Mekare has always been a quite lion. He has never felt any reason to speak about anything unless there was a point. His feelings can be told easily from his features but he never voices them unless he trusts whoever he is talking to. He has always tried to be trustworthy but one HUGE mistake has shaken his confidence in himself although he trusts other lions easily.

}History{ Mekare grew up on his own pretty much, Sashiko finding him when he was just a kit and taking care of him like a little brother. Deatiku followed him around like he had done to Sashiko, acting as a gaurdian and an advisor. As Mekare grew Deatiku soon vanished, watching on Sashiko as he left the Pride Lands with his mate.

Mekare's life went on regularly day in and day out. It was when he finally became an adult that he finally experianced anything he would brag about. He met Pandora, whom he thought was the love of his life... until later he figured out she had a mate. He was crushed; therefore he sulked. He hid from the lions, until one found him, coaxing him out of secretcy, but also scaring him in a way. Snowfall had been so joyus to get him out that it scared him off for he was still tender to a lioness's feelings.

It took a long while for him to get over the problems with Pandora, until he met Nox. It was when he was up in the jungle area, basking on a rock during the sunrise, his newly found favorite time of the day. She came upon him, and instantly they had a connection, at least that is what he thought. They talked for a while and not too long after did she invite him to her precious ruins to show him her home. What will happen next he always wonders.

Time came and went and Mekare was happy with Nox. But something strange came about and Mekare all of a sudden had three cubs to take care of... and they didn't come from Nox. When he came back with the three she was furious and refused to stay with him and these creatures. And so the two had gone their seperate ways. Nox took Caedmon with her and left him with Givenna, and the three new cubs, Teysu, Aoha and Aikaterine. From then on he was on his own.

Mekare never had a home while he raised the four cubs, loving them all with what was left of his heart. When he and Nox split up he was devestated and became depressed. He had to fake a smile when he was around his children, wanting them all the think he was happy. But everytime he looked at Givenna... he thought of her.

As time went by the children grew up and went their own ways. Givenna was furious at him. She knew who her real mother was and what had happened. Teysu was weak and had no heart for males except her brother Aoha. Aikaterine left without a word when she could fend for herself. And Aoha... stayed with him. He hated seeing his father always in a depressive slump. So together they stumbled upon a pride, Heaven's Gaurdians. Apollo, the King of the pride, took Mekare in to help ease his suffering.

After spending a couple months in the pride Mekare felt lightened and made his way down the mountain for some fresh scenery, and here he stumbled upon Nox. He learned of her cubs with another male and that she was happy now... but he.. he still felt miserable. He didn't think he would ever find another that filled the void in his heart like Nox did...

That was one of the few encounters he had with his ex-mate, but eventually he returned to his pride and announced he was leaving, he needed some fresh air. And so Mekare began to wander again. His heart was leading him in every direction he wished he wouldn't go. He was always thinking of Nox and his mistake.

He was lucky enough one day to stumble across someone he hadn't seen in years. His brother. Having thought his brother had disappeared years ago after a terrible storm that had seperated them, Mekare was a little less then stunned. After his reunion Aradel and meeting his family, Mekare continued his journey.

What startled him next in his travels was seeing Givenna. And Nox. Again. Why did his heart yearn for her every time he saw her? But this time she looked unwell. With a very cold shoulder from his daughter, Mekare looked to Nox and her pale coat. After brief conversation, Mekare followed Nox and Gi back to the runes. Their home. Where was this going and why had Nox invited him back? It took a walk in the woods for Mekare to brave the question again... but they had talked for so long, they seemed to be on good terms. But she denied him when he asked for her back. What else could he expect? A little disheartened, they returned to the runes.

He stayed for a while, thinking constantly about her regection. Having left on his own for a while he laid down and thought. As he was consumed in thought, Nox joined him. Laying for a while, some little conversation... and something to take his breath away. She asked him to stay forever. To be hers. What else could he have asked for? Trying his hardest not to leap down her throat with a reply, he accepted. So what was this new life? Nox back at his side, they were back in the runes, and Givenna seemed to be happy. But where was Caedmon in this mess? Only time would tell.

And so time has told, at least part of the story. To bring their bond closer, the newly remated pair had concieved and birthed three more children, two daughters, Cilla and Kia, and a son, Remme. Although Mekare has another son to continue his line, his heart still yearns for a right relationship with his firstborn, Caedmon.

}Personality{ Despina is quite. She tends to look to the stars a lot for direction. She has a hard time connecting with lions because she feels she isn't one of them.

}History{ Despina feels she was descended straight from the stars as a cub. She has a deep connection with the night sky, and sometimes she thinks the moon and stars are speaking with her. Her distant nature tends to keep other lions away from her, but having no friends is lonely.

}Personality{ If anyone was to be labeled all-time flirt, it would be Casanova. He doesn't have a particular type, woman is his type. He is unusually talented in making a woman blush.

}History{ Casanova's world has just began to turn as he enters the Pride Lands. He has already found many gorgeous lionesses to woo and tempt, but only two have found through to his heart.

He began his tours of the Pride Lands with the help of Adia from the Rose Petal Pride. After his encounter with her he promised not to mess with one of her daughters. And so Casanova continued his travels.

It didn't take too long for him to become used to this new area but he craved for his home in Venice. It was this that made him crave the beauties that wandered these plains alone. This was how he met Juliette. She was the beautifully masked lioness. Her cascading hair could make the air catch in Casanova's throat and his hair stand on end of pure delight to see her. It was unkown to him how this relationship came to end, but sadly it did... They hadn't seen each other for a long time... and Casanova gave up, in search of someone else. When the fair butterfly saw him she wept. To make things better he apologized to her in front of her new friend, Atant. After Atant gave Juliette some of his famous 'herbs', Casanova took Juliette to the side and seduced her, taking advantage of her. Leaving her that night he returned to his new found lover...

Lucretia... the goddes of night, power over owls and otehr creatures lurking. She was the Greedy Sin... Casanova loved her dearly. He had found her when Juliette had gone missing and it was she who Juliette saw and wept. Lucretia on the other hand was greedy indeed, wanting Casanova for herself. They found a cave off of the side of a mountain, where every morning they could wake up and see the entire Pride Lands.

Was it here that the suave casanova found his place? This calling deep inside his heart to settle down? Casanova and Lucretia now have a family... but where will his love child fit in?

}Personality{ She can seem like she's not totally there, her gaze becomes distant and her thoughts wonder, but she is very bright. She has a big heart to love with, but few people are willing to love her.

}History{ Coming from Halloween Town to the Pride Lands was a big change for her. She know's that Jack and Zero are around somewhere she just still has to find them. Although Sally has been here for a while now she still hasn't met very many lions. Those that she has have only been encounters of a short time. She will find a friend... it will just take some time. But right now, she has all the time in the world.

Time went on and Sally still could not find Jack, her heart was aching and she was becoming more lonely than before. She was constantly tearing her body parts, her thread running on a low supply and her eyes constantly holding back unspilled tears. It wasn't until a lonely Halloween night that Sally had stopped, stared at the moon and wished for a companion. It may have been magic, or it may have been fate that brought them together, but it was that night that Sally met Amethyst Monkshood, better known as Monk. They were brought together and together they were allowed to have children. Finally... she wouldn't be alone.

}Personality{ She is usually very bitter, but what else can you expect from a female who has been alone most of her life? She is technically dead, her heart does not beat so she rarely has those feelings of warm fluffy love.

}History{ Akasha started out a a Queen on the Damned in the real world, being sent to the Pride Lands didn't even shake her. Sure she didn't have her king Lestat, but she can find someone else.

After roaming the pride lands for several months she finally ran into a lion, his name, Subaku no Garra. He was a sand demon she was curious to turn to vampirism. When the cubs were born she found that he was a weakling and couldn't handle the vampire blood mixed with the demon. Taking Freniere with her and leave Subaku no Aito with Garra, Akasha left him.

It wasn't too long later, Freniere tailing behind her, that Akasha first met Bahir, the desert pirate. He intriuged her with being a swashbuckler that she came back for more. Speaking to him a couple time she became fascinated and always needed to see him. Finally... she found him.

It didn't seem like Akasha would ever be tamed by another again. She had thought Gaara to be just as pathetic as the king she had had so long ago. She would find herself only seeking Bahir presence but found out that he loved it just as much. Akasha being a vampire would love bite him, taking a little blood here and there but nothing ever deadly.

It wasn't long until Akasha had found a new mate, one worth her time and love. Their love was true and she gave him three sons. There was no seperate raising of these three as there had been with Freniere and Aito, instead she insisted on the family staying close together, Freniere just as close as the others as her Brat Prince.

As the months drew by their love never faltered but one day Bahir disappeared, leaving Akasha with her sons to raise by herself. This was the first time Akasha felt such a pain. With her heart broken she tried not to be bitter, not wanting her boys to see such an angry side. Again months went by when out of the blue Bahir returned. When Akasha saw him her feelings of resentment were overpowered by the love she had for the lion.

There was something awkward about his return but Akasha didn't ask, she merely loved him like she had before. She knew he wouldn't leave her forever. But Bahir couldn't keep his secret away from his mate any longer. With a feeling of dread he told her he had fathered cubs with another lioness. Akasha shrugged it off, thinking he ment he was speeking of cubs he had had with another lioness before meeting Akasha, like she had with Gaara before loving Bahir. But he corrected her mistake saying that while he had been gone he had fathered them then, and they were just born. With another stab of pain Akasha turned to him in disblief. He wanted her to punish him, drink his blood dry or whatever he thought would make amends. Akasha merely scratched his paws and licked away the little blood that came up. She loved him too much to hurt him so badly, but Bahir didn't want it to be so tender. Digging his claw into his arm he tore open a gash wanting this to be the punishment. Akasha smiled ever so slightly at his acts, knowing he loved her just as much as she did and she lapped at the blood.

**An RP note: Although Akasha is known as the Queen of the Damned and the first vampire in Anne Rice's books, that is not the case in the Pride Lands. For RP purposes, Akasha will simply be an Ancient, a vampire who has been around for centuries. It is unfair for her to be the -first- vampire because, in a way, it would be considering her a God and that is not allowed in the Pride Lands. When rping with Akasha and I speak of old bloodlines, the first vampire will simply be known as the 'One'. This 'One' will be a NPC, strictly used for rping purposes. She can be considered royalty, a far down the line royalty. As far as the shop of the Mi'Ayana Pride Lands is conserned, Akasha is a normal, cosplay lioness. Not a God or special powered being.

}Meaning of Name{ I played with the Al Bhed translator again. The base of the name is Archer, because the sign on her is the sagittarius sign, my sign. When I hit the translate button I spelt it how I found fit.

}Personality{ An easy going, fun loving lioness. She rarely has a temper, in fact I don't think she has any recorded on file... her heart is always full of love. Love for her mate, her children, and the stars. Aine has never had a bad view of anyone.

}History{ Aine doesn't know how she arrived on this planet for she lost her memory upon reaching its barren shores. Her entire life has been known by watching over the world and all the other beautiful things in the solar system. Ainluraine is the Archer, or Sagittarius. Her closest friend in the stars was Orion.

Wandering the Pride Lands for months on end she finally got a hold of her new life. The stars on her chest that showed her constellation self shimmered when she would talk to her old friends. In her travels she met several lions, one of those was prince Bakari. He was alright but didn't provide the comfort of a family that Aine searched for.... it wasn't long after that she met Neo. He came from a small pride run by his father Blake. Aine liked him, he was such a nice lion. Little did she know he had feelings as well.

It has been a while and Aine ran into her old friend Neo again and boy did he grow! He was quite the handsome lion now. An attraction began to grow between them and soon enough Neo was escorting his new mate to his old pride run by his father. After staying in the pride for a while Aine had a litter of three, Aranck, Nesaru, and Orion, named after her friend she missed so much and had sent part of his spirit into this cub. Now their family is starting and she is trying to forget her past so she can live in the present.

Their children became strong young lions, her heart ached to see them become full grown, but it soared when she saw them bring home their own mates. It was a joy to her when she realized that her sons were bringing their mates home to join the family's pride. She always saw the joy in Neo's eyes to see his sons working along side him, but as her children grew up, her heart ached for the pitter patter of small feet... it wasn't too much later when Neo gave her another gift, two daughters. Ethel Rowena and Bernadette Alice.

Between her five children, their mates, and her mate, their den was getting noiser and noiser. And she loved every minute of it. She must have always been detined to have a large family, just like the stars are numerous. For Neo gave her another give of love, four more children. A son and three daughters. Constellation, Adra, MakeMake, and Equinox. They truely had a pride. Along with their newest children they also had grandchildren! Her heart was overjoyed and pouring out love for all the newest children.

Life has gone on, no new buddles of joy for Neo and herself, but she has the joy of watching her children and grandchildren grow and flourish. What more could a lioness ask for?

}Personality{ Givenna can be a bit agressive upon her first interaction with someone. She doesn't have a very high opinion of males, mostly because of her father, but she doesn't exactly hate them. She is very independent and protective of what is hers.

}History{ Givenna's life began in perfection. Her mother and father seemed like the perfect couple, unable to stop loving on each other. They even loved their children. Because of this love there was a great trust among the family that let Givenna explore the ruins in which they were the gaurdians of... at least that is what mommy told her.

Their life was going as perfect as possible... but no one is perfect. Somehow her daddy ended up with 3 cubs... Mommy got angry and left with Caedmon. Her daddy was just torn up and left the ruins with her and her new brother and sisters. It was nice to have sisters but they didn't look like her mother.

Time has gone on and Givenna has gotten used to the younger company but misses her mother and brother. Her father has almost lost it in his depression but he tries to love his children... all the while as he day dreams of what their life could have been.

Finally being able to see her mother and brother she has gone on and gotten used to this seperation, most of the time she is off by herself but she returns soon enough to check on her little brother and sisters. They have grown to know that Givenna is their older sister, and always has been. They don't know Caedmon... and that is all Gi thinks of. She craves her mother's attention and wants to play with her brother... the day will come... the day will come...

While father was lost in his depression, Givenna left to be on her own. With no real place to call her own, she found herself occupying a small cave beside an even smaller pool of water. Was this what home was always going to be? Loneliness? By some miracle, her prayers were answered with guests. Tic Tac and his daughter Mai Tai. Tic Tac, she thought, needed an attitude adjustment, he was a little short tempered and always seemed busy, Mai on the other hand was an adorable little cub who needed a friend. Givenna was kind enough to do that for her. One on special occasion they ventured to a small pile of ruins where she let the child play, her heart aching for her ture home in the ruins she had to leave.

Time came and went and it saw Tic Tac, and sadly, Mai Tai off. They had to leave for some other destination. Once more Givenna was left alone.

But what was this? Time bringing yet another visitor after so long of being alone? When Givenna went to greet her visitor... it was Mai. She was a full grown, beautiful lioness and for once, the aching for home in Givenna's heart subsided. What was this warmth she felt? Was she truely in love with this lioness? Why had Mai come back? The answer was simple... to be with Givenna.

The day that Givenna had been praying for finally came! Daddy went to mommy and pleaded for forgiveness, and out of her kind heart, mommy gave him that. Their relationship was strained at first. Light touches, the echo of a previous burning desire. It took some time but they finally became a shadow of the couple they used to be. Every day mother falls more in love with father. A complete family... except... where is Cae? As her parents got more settled with one another, Givenna asked her mother for permission to leave, she needed to find Mai, to tell her how much she loved her and how much she needed her... she was surprised when Nox said yes. She knew that her daughter had found love, but how long would it be until her daughter returned with her mate? Leaving her mother with a saddened look on her face she venutred off to find Mai.

}History{ Having a father with such a history sometimes makes Keren a little jealous. How come she can't have that many friends!? Although she doesn't understand all of Cas's "friends" she still wants to know more people.

}History{ Having been raised by wanderers, Kubau's life has been quite exciting. She has traveled with her father, mother and sister to each direction of the globe. It has been hard for her to keep ahold of any friends she has met along the way for she isn't ever around long, always tagging with her family. Although they are guided by the stars on their travels, she was also guided to her love.

One night among their stay in the grasslands, Kuabu was drawn to a hill. Mounting it she decided to gaze upon her map for exciting examination. But when she rounded the crown of the hill she was surprised to see she wasn't alone. Seeing a lion she approached cautiously, then began talking of the stars. But time came 'round too fast and she had to leave once more, to head to the forest to visit a family friend. But that lion wouldn't make his way out of her dreams.

It wasn't long before the family of four was back tracking, heading towards the northwest this time. Again the night had come along and Kubau dared to crest that hill again. Her heart lept when she saw the stranger sitting there like the time before. But again the night came and went, but this time she left with his name, Anumati.

It was weeks before she was able to come back again, having split from her family to take a slight detour just to see him again. But as she came to see him he was excited to see her as well. It was within that day that he decided to leave with her and travel north to see the stars Ku's father talked so much about. As they left they spotted her uncle, Sashiko's brother Reid. After some quick exchanges they dashed on, a precious secret lingering in mid air. Boy, father was going to be surprised when the two that had left, and returned with four.

}History{ Growing up as his mother's favorite son he became her prince. He watched as his mother cast his brother Aito away with his sob of a father Gaara. He thought that they were not worth his time, but until he met another kit, Fan Xi Rui, did he relize he had been acting wrong. Slowly he began to change his ways but his mother was still acting like the demon queen she was.

It was strange for him to watch her fall in love with a desert pirate, but this lion was more fit for his mother. With this new love in her life she produced three more sons, three more brothers for Freniere. He accepted them, because that is what Xi taught him to do... maybe he would run into her again...

As he continued to age, he found himself chasing after his brother Aito, whom he now refers to as dead, trying to fix the problems he had caused. Xi's words were forgotten now, but the feeling she had given him was burning brightly. He wished to better his life, which was nearly impossible as his soul was stained black from his vampire nature.

He made a new vow to himself, sharing his vow only to his brother Jysben. He vowed to never spill the blood of an inocent again. He would feed willingly on the blood of the wicked and evil, thus he would better his life...

}History{ As a cub, Teysu was basically raised by her half sister Givenna. Aoha and Aikaterine loved Givenna as well, but all of them, Gi and Cae also, hated Mekare. After what he had done none of the children couold forgive him. It was sad though, Teysu and her full blood siblings didn't know their mother. They knew they were left close to Mekare to be found. He found them and found disaster. Several times Teysu thought she just caused her father worse depression but learned that when they were gone, it was worse. When they were close he had some sense of sanity.

Days were drawn on and the children grew, Teysu looked up to Gi for advice to live on her own for that is basically what she did. Slowly she began to hate males. She watched her father closely and every day he only made her hate for them deeper. Was her heart ever going to love? Or was she born with a broken one?

One day when she was traveling by herself, getting away from her ridiculus father she ran into a lioness. One that was a little unsettled in the head. This lioness she came to like was named Quiyue. Qui was strange, that was true, but wasn't everyone strange in their own way? Teysu couldn't describe this feeling she was having for this lioness and soon enough Qui said she liked Teysu. Not really knowing how to take this Tey could merely nod her head.

Upon looking deeper she realized that is wasn't in males where love lied. It was in females. They couldn't hurt her like her father had hurt her mother and Gi's mother. Maybe going with Qui was the right decision.

Now the two were wandering together, their feeling for each other were private, they had decided not to let anyone know quite yet. Hopefully they would be able to join a pride that Quiyue had been watching for a while. Maybe... Finally... Teysu's life was beginning to come to order.

As they began to settle into a cozy pride, set by the ever so merciful Master Chief, Teysu and Quiyue began to crave a family but Tey was too nervous to tell her father. The found a donor, a nice one at that and soon Qui became pregnant with three. Teysu's frantic motherly instincts kicked in but still she is nervous to tell her father that she has started a family. The only person that knows is her brother Aoha, but would he tell her secret?

}History{ Aoha's history is just like retelling Givenna's and Teysu's. His life wasn't a great experience either. Givenna was his loved older sister, he looked up to her for everything. As he grew up he learned to live with his father's random depression slumps. When this happened he would leave for a little while, let his father have some quiet time, then he would come back and try to cheer him up.

One day as he had let Mekare be by himself for a while, his father came to get him, to bring him to a pride. This pride was run by two glorious saviours is what his father called them. Seeing as he couldn't leave his father alone for too long he came and joined the pride.

He would leave eventually... at least that is what he told himself. He would leave when someone came to get him... anyone... anyone at all. He needed the freedom from his father... but who would it be?

}History{ Being raise by a star was definately something strange. Because he was born from a star he could talk to the stars. He had a strong connection with the night sky. When he was younger his mother taught him how to control his powers so they wouldn't consume him for the stars were jealous that Aine had jumped out of the sky and landed on earth.

Orion loves his family dearly, his brothers were a little odd to live with. When they first made their pride the boys were young but soon they grew up and loved their land. Nesaru was the 'big boss man'. He had to know who was doing what and when. He just -had- to know everything. Aranck went a little crazy from time to time and Orion thought it was becuase of that mouse that tagged along with him... the one that spoke latin. He didn't really like her to begin with but slowly he got used to her, still didn't like her but he could put up with her.

Along one of his strolls Orion spotted something that stood out in the distance. A light blue lioness. He sat down and watched her, wondering how she acted as that was what he did. He was the thinker. He wouldn't jump into every situation possible like Nesa, he would break it down, consider the outcome and the concequences before he acted in any way. But as he watched this lioness he decided to make a move. That was a first for him.

Somehow something struck up a friendship and slowly a relationship. To him it seemed that Bella was sheltered, didn't have a very big family, or many friends if any. Soon enough she was on the way over to visit the pride. He was going to take her home to see what him mother and father thought. Maybe she'd stick with him forever...

May she would after all! The couple were secret with their moves towards each other for Orion being shy about his relations. But soon enough he had enchanted Bella into staying... and even giving him a family of his own.
