" Nah seems all the geeks become stars here where studying means you know the best stuff."Von smiled and was about to tell him to put his coat away when the wind caught ti and blew it right under the whooping tree. She rolled her eyes and shook her head he really was a nerd but there was something appealing about him. She mulled this over when he disappeared but gawked as he brought out the gift. She quickly and unlady like ripped the paper off and could only stare. It was the guitar from the shop. She'd gone back later to see about getting it but the guy said he'd sold it. "You, you got this for me?!" She couldn't think she managed to set it down gently before practically pouncing on Marc. " Thank you!" She didn't normally hug people but the guitar!

Heh...he wished that was so...all anyone wanted from him was his brain... No one cared about Marcellus the person...
Marc smiled. "No biggy..." However he hugged her back happily. "I had seen how happy it made you... and i thought that having it would make you happy. So i payed for it that day in the alley... I went back for it. The guy let me buy it and send it to my home... i didn't want you to see it and ruin the surprise." He grinned.

Von released him and stepped back to pick up the guitar before sitting on the ground. " Wow, man thanks!" She ran her hands over it lovingly then strummed a few chords and at it's prompting she set it to sound like an acoustic like hers only better quality. Once that was accomplished she played a scale to make sure it was in tune. " Care to hear the song?" So far he's the only one she's invited to hear the song even though a couple had stumbled on her, and one was her cousin who didn't count since she was gonna help Von write the song. " I mean it's not finished but you could hear what I've got so far."

Marc Smiled and sank down next to her. "Sure i would love to hear it..." HE folded his hands in his lap to wait for her... He liked when she sang...And if she like playing guitar as much...he bet he would like when she played too.
He watched her as she adjusted everything to fit her needs.

Von closed her eyes and recalled the song soon her fingers were gliding over the guitar. The song was upbeat and happy. For Von it represented the freedom of school, never having to worry about where she'd be living next. It rang with hope for the knowledge she'd learn and of the mischief she could accomplish. Soon though her voice started humming a harmonious tune that weaved around the guitar and seemed to lift the melody in some spots. When the song was over she smiled then opened her eyes. " There's a spot or two here and there that feel off, but what do you think?"

Marc smiled. Von really did have magic about her. She could make the guitar bend to her will... The song was lovely and he could have sworn that he had heard nothing better, ever, in his life. "That was really amazing." He smiled again and just watched her a moment. "You were cold... we should go back inside... We don't want to get sick." He flushed but in the dark of the night she wouldn't be able to see. He was really happy she liked the guitar.

Von looked up from the guitar at Marc confused for just a moment. " Eh, I'm fine down here there's not much wind, but if you want we can go in. Prolly shouldn't stay awake too much longer anyways." She carefully set the guitar to the side and stood, brushed dust off her pants then held out her hand to help Marc stand. " It's nice and quiet out here, bet they won't let me come up here during normal hours to play." She sighed she'd thought the music room would be a safe place to work, not to mention the dynamics were good for music but it seemed every time she got away someone would hear her and get a private show.

Marc leaned back to prop himself on his elbows. "Really? They don't have astronomy in the day..." He frowned and tipped his head. Reaching out a hand he took her's and tugged. He smirked playfully and tugged harder to see if she would fall down next to him. Of course he would catch her if she did start to fall.

Normally Von would ahve pulled back and prolly lifted him off the ground but her mind had wandered and so the next thing she knew she was falling. She made a strange noise fearing for a moment then she noticed Marc's hand in hers pulling though it was too late to catch herself so down she went practically in Marc's lap. She leveled him with a playful smirk. " Well done, maybe the sorting hat did put you in the wrong house after all."

She had fallen... laughing he had reached up to make sure she hadn't fallen too hard. He grinned. "No one ever said Hufflepuffs have to be demure." He wrinkled his face and Reached up with his free hand and tickled at her sides. If he remembered right she was very ticklish...

Von nodded in agreement and started to get up when he tickled her and with an unVon like giggle she collapsed on him before attempting to roll away. "Gerf. You." She managed to get out as she wiggled away from him enough to give herself an advantage over him and return the assault. Luckily she hadn't shrieked or squealed or else they would have been so busted. When a gap appeared she lept at Marc claws extended to tickle him.

One thing marc could say for Von...she was fast. He tried to follow after her to continue tickling. However the minx she was turned about and tried to tickle him. He smirked and laughed but not from tickles. "Sorry von... not ticklish... remember" He scrunched up his face... well he was... but only behind his knees... and that was his own personal secret.

Von sat back on her heels and glared at him. "No I hadn't remembered that." She dusted herself off and stood up, he'd have made a good Slytherin if he kept this up. " Nice tactics though." She gave him a smile while she bent to get the guitar that had thankfully been safe from the tickle fight. This time she just stood letting Marc pull himself up, fool her once shame on you fool her twice and well, they won't find your body.

Marc simply smiled and pushed himself to his feet... "Come on... I will walk with you back down to the basement..."Since the hufflepuff basement was down the base floor he would walk with her until he had to turn the opposite way...
He held open the tower door glancing once more at the brilliantly starred sky.

Von pulled the guitar close to her body and smiled at Marc. " Alright." She went through the door but looked back to see him staring at the sky. " So what'd it really cost you to set this up?" She knew there was no way he snuck out without permission like she had. He may have the tactics of a Slytherin but not the guts, no she knew he had guts, no the guy was too nice and liked to keep things uncomplicated.
