He shrugged his shoulders slightly. "It's not that I'm different from everyone else that bothers them, so much as me being different from their vision of me, I s'pose." He scrunched up his nose. He hoped he hardly resembled their vision, honestly. He didn't want to be a spookie-cutter reaper. He wanted to be different and better. His family was way to serious. "I love my chains. They just don't see the use."
Wait... what had she said? "... MEET your weapon?" He glanced at cloak warily and then back at her. "Have you... animated your weapon?" He didn't know if he could handle bother a cloak AND a scythe attacking him all the time. That was a bit of a scary thought.

"Well I don't see anything wrong with the way you are. And if you don't either, then they can get over themselves. You should come visit my family some time. My brothers would love to see your chains," she smiled. The offer was genuine, she was always bringing friends home. Her parents welcomed anyone into their house and treated their children's friends as their own children.
"Your chains make you unique. And there are a million uses for chains, your parents just aren't very creative in my opinion," she nodded her head decidely. Yeah she doubted she would win points with his folks given her own sense of freedom.
She giggled as he suddenly looked uncomfortable at the wording she used. Cloak could be hard to deal with but Tortalo actually had manners. "Yes MEET my weapon. And no, my great-grandmother animated him and gave him to me when I was born. He's watched over me until I was old enough to weild him. His name is Tortalo. Trust me, he has a far better disposition than cloak."
She stood up and held out her hand, "Tortalo! To me!" In a moonbeam flash a large scythe appeared in the girl's hand. As she rested the bottom on the floor, an eye opened up on the side of the blade facing Nyyrikki and the blade it self seemed to split into a toothy mouth.
"Greetings young man. I take it you wish to introduce me, Lilura?"
"Yes. Nyyrikki, this is Tortalo, my scythe."
The weapon turned and bowed, "Greetings Nyyrikki."

Nyyrikki wiggled uncomfortably. An animated cloak was on thing, but a weapon that could mock you as it kicked your a**? Well, that was something entirely new. He fingered the chains on his arm quietly as she summoned the weapon, and was a little shocked at what he saw.
Not only did she have a scythe, but she had a pretty jacking cool scythe. "I.... hi..." Was all he was able to get out. What did you say to a scythe? Did you ask it about the weather? What the jack this was a little awkward. He stuck his stained hands in his pockets a looked at Lilura. "My chains can't talk. I can make them move, but even then they rarely do what I want."

Tortalo smiled at him, which is kinda creepy considering his smile is sharp. He was use to people being unnerved by his presense. But he was part of Lilura's life so she wanted him to meet her friends.
Lilura smiled at Rikki, "Frankly sometimes I wish my weapon didn't talk."
"Hey!"
"Well it's true. You can be embarressing."
"At least I am not Cloak!"
"That is true, he already pounced Nyyrikki."
At this the scythe seemed to sigh and look rather embarressed. He turned to Nyyrikki. "As a representative of animated objects, I apologive for his behavior. He is.....stupid."
"Tortalo!"
"ANYWAY. It was very nice to meet you young man. Perhaps we shall spar in the future yes?," he looked to the ghoul, "However I am still tired from our practice this afternoon. Good day to you both."
Lilura sent him away then sat back down next to the other reaper. She smiled at him, "Your chains may not always do what you say but at least they don't tell stories about when you were a baby."
She tossed a lock of hair from her face and looked back at him. Nyyrikki was a cute Reaper, she didn't mind the hoodie and black stained hands. It gave him character in her opinion. Besides, he kinda looked like a bad boil.

Nyyrikki chuckled. In a weird way, he kind of liked cloak. It was like another mini. But a talking weapon was something he'd have to adjust to. He was sure he'd be able to with time though.
He relaxed against the coach when the scythe was sent away and shook his head. "No one tells stories about when I was a baby. I'm not sure my parents even remember." He shrugged. "It's one embarrassment I'm saved from. But everyone tells me my chains would be better if I had paid more attention when I was learning the magic." Perhaps it would, and he wouldn't have the stains on his hands now. But did he care? Nah, not much. It sucked that some people thought he was a failure, but he was himself, and they could get over it.
