Bell wrapped her arms around him and closed the gap between them for a very much needed hug.
"M'kay," She said softly. Almost a whisper. It still scared her though. So much for fortitude, really.

"It's okay." He whispered in her ear, continued to comb through her hair with his fingers - anything that might hopefully soothe her. "They'll need to kill me to get me away from you."
As long as there was an inch of life left in him, he would crawl right back to her. Of this, he was completely certain.

So there were times when one or the other would feel as if they weren't worth much or didn't deserve the other. Comfort was always there, assurance was always there. It was these tough times, weathered together that tried and tested them. And Bell would hold on for her life.
"They won't be able to get close enough to even try."

It was such a simple fact of life - together, they were stronger than apart. It would always be so.
And maybe, ultimately, it was the only thing that mattered.
"Good thing." He reached in to kiss her, tenderly.

There was actually a bit of a smile on her face before the kiss. Afterward there was definitely a smile there.
"Oh? I'm sure you could take one if one so happened to be past me first."
She had confident in his abilities. A big battle like Elysion was no way to measure one's ability. Not with how chaotic things were, the mass numbers... And she did place a little blame on Europa. Even if she couldn't help that she'd been thrown and given a concussion. She could have been on better guard. Bell also blamed herself. She was off killing someone instead of aiding him.
Well, that wouldn't happen again.

Themis wasn't so sure of that, but at least he was more sure than before. It was... better than nothing, in a way.
That was something he could latch onto, that even if he wasn't sure about himself, that at least one person was.
The most important one of them all.

With any luck, maybe getting this in the air and out of the way would help her sleep. Of course, there was still the fear that Elysion would try pulling her in but... She thought maybe she had the strength to fight it now. Add Elysion to the list of ''things that don't matter anymore.''
"Thank you for being here. Watching over me.." She had done that once for him. Voluntary reciprocation was always nice.
