"I'll just...go get a cup of coffee or tea from the cafeteria, you two... have fun... I'll knock before I enter ok?" He said with a careful look between them. 'Girl Talk', he had been booted out of the room more than enough times by his own mother to know 'that' kind of careful talk.

"Im sorry, Zac!" She called out to the man a moment after he had left and closed the door. She really felt horrible for him leaving... but she would have also felt bad for Fallon leaving. She really wanted to talk to them both....but... she really needed to talk to her leader. While the memories were fresh, while she still could. She was so tired... the medication she was hooked up to was demanding she sleep over anything else.
"...Im sorry, Fallon. I failed." She turned her head to her right to look out the window. Beth HAD failed... failed to win, failed to not hurt herself this badly. Failed the BMC in one of Ares' greatest wishes. She couldn't kill Tanzanite, in turn... SHE almost was killed. Only shown mercy to deliver a single message.
".... Tanzanite sends her greetings." She said, still looking out the window of the small hospital room. The word 'purple' and the arm bandage should make sense, now.

Fallon stayed beside Beth's bed. "Thank you," she said, nodding to Zac. "I won't be long." Magenta eyes followed him all the way out of the room and down the hallway.
When her eyes moved back to Beth, they were harder, serious. They didn't have long. At the mention of Tanzanite's name, Ares gripped the hard metal railing of the hospital bed until her knuckles bleached. "Tanzanite," she whispered quietly. "Well, we certainly have her attention." There was a lilt in her voice, almost a laugh.
Beth still did not know about Sailor Requiem, about the plan that was in motion, about all the great victories of the BMC yet to come. Now was not the time to tell her. "Beth, did you... did you try to fight her alone? You shouldn't. It's a mistake with that one. I mistake I have... also made." She looked down. "She knows how to goad me. I hate to admit it, but she does. But you -- you can't let her. We..." Fallon swallowed. "We have a plan for her. I can't say much now -- but please know this: you will have your revenge."
Her eyes flickered to the window. "We all will." Reflected in the smooth window pane, Fallon imagined Tanzanite kneeling before her, crying. She would do more than cry. Fallon wanted to make Tanzanite suffer in a way worse than pain.
For now, though, she needed to focus on Beth. "How are you, Beth?" Fallon leaned closer. "I mean... how are you really?"

The girl couldnt help it, she winced at the intensity of Fallons voice. Unsure if she could see that... she quickly bleached her face, and turned to look at her leader once more. She noticed the white knuckles. "She surprised me, i was not looking for a fight. I wish i could sit here and tell you all i was trying to do was defend myself... which a majority of it was."
"But... a part of me also saw red. I WANTED to kill her Fallon." She said this almost as if she should be ashamed. Beth felt like that moment in time, she showed weakness. Wanting to kill a negaverse agent she was always told was not wrong, but the blind rage she felt... it felt wrong.
"I will help where i can." She added on a second after Fallon told her about this plan. Beth was trusting in people enough to know if they did not give further details.. she knew she didn't know for a reason. Well, certain people she did this for anyways. She trusted Ares.
The next question actually had Beth give a loud, brief laugh. "Hah... you know? To be honest... that woman scared the living s**t out of me. Apparently when my brother found me, in my semi conscious state.. all i kept saying was the word 'purple'? Im not sure if i can ever look at that color the same way again." Which was a shame, Beth liked colors. " The hell was wrong with her arm, Fallon?" It took all of the senshis will power to not shiver just by thinking about it. "It was so... so... i dont know. It latched onto my arm and BIT me."
"I'll.. live. There was nothing broken.. she sent me as a message to you. She made sure i was just alive enough to tell you." She sighed.
"...I've never felt so pathetic."

Fallon took in everything Beth was saying in silence. When the girl finished, she touched at her arm. "Beth, I told you once that you would learn to be an instrument of death," she began, eyes taking on a shade of seriousness. It was in these moments that she seemed the most Ares-like in her civilian state. "You saw red. You wanted her to die. Good. That is a good thing. You just can't let your rage make you sloppy. Take that feeling and swallow it down, harden it. Learn to channel the need to kill her into each strike of your first, into each cast of your power. Do not be afraid of the anger inside of you." She straightened up. "Embrace it."
Magenta eyes flickered to the windows broken by blinds. A nurse walked by. Then she turned back to the girl in the bed. "The arm, the bite, the feeling of being worthless? Those are things you can overcome -- we can overcome, together." Fallon looked back over her shoulder and then slid up her sleeve. There was a black crescent moon of teeth marks there, only partially healed. "You have been bitten. It's over. You have to move on from it, and just remember to thank Tanzanite for it the next time you see her." Her voice had dropped low in the husk of intensity.
She fidgeted then, straightening Beth's pillow. In a moment of concern, Fallon brushed a piece of hair from the girl's face. "But you should focus on getting well. We can talk more about this later." Fallon had no idea how long Zac was going to be gone, after all.

A soft knock at the door, just loud enough to be clear but not so loud as to be startling. A very carefully considered knock all things considered. "I've come back..." said the freshly familiar voice of Beth's have brother. "Too soon? I brought tea... sorry if you are a coffee person, the tea is almost defiantly a safer bet for your palate though if my opinion counts for anything."
Had he been there long waiting till the voices subsided to knock? Hard to say, his face was blank except for when he turned to Beth, and then it registered concern and more than a little anger simmering in his eyes.

"Yes, leader." She nodded, taking in all of fallons wisdom and processing it.. absorbing it... she will live by it. "I will take the scar that forms... and learn from this." Lyra would become a fighter, embracing the dark as well as the light. Both balancing out, never leaning too far to one side. She would kill negaversers for the name of the greater good... while her old self might have protested, this brush with death would always be on her mind. Reminding her they would not show her the same mercy she gave them...
Well, mercy she once would have given.
She was about to say something else to fallon when a knock on the door sounded, snapping herself out of her train of thought. Turning to Fallon she gave a short nod, ackowledging that she would talk with her mentor later and give all of the details she could. If there was something coming... she would be ready. No matter what.
"Come in!" She said a moment before Zac entered. "... Thank you Zac." If the other red haired teenage was watching, she would have noticed Beths gaze soften when she caught sight of her brother... he really was like a breath of fresh air for her. She would do anything to protect him.
"Thank you both for coming... i should hopefully be out of the hospital soon." and back to her duties, wound or no wound.

Fallon's sweater was already back in place, her impassive expression too. She turned when Zac entered to smile. "Thank you for texting me," she said. "I would have... well, I would have been worried sick about her." She turned to smile at Beth. It was true that they were only friends because of their roles in the Blood Moon Court, but Fallon saw those senshi as her family. She would endure any pain to keep them safe.
"I'll let you two be. Beth, get better. You'll be back on your feet in no time. You're a fighter." She adjusted Beth's pillow one more time, smoothed the sheets over her legs.
Picking up her purse, she crossed to the doorway. "Nice meeting you, Zac. Take care." And then Fallon shut the door behind her and disappeared down the hallway.

Zac arched an eyebrow as she left, she struck even him as 'odd', calculated and perfect and yet she gave him the 'creeps' as it were. "No offense..." he said as she left. "But... " he stopped before continuing and watching her face. "That's a friend?" He shook his head, not her normal taste in them he thought, but then...maybe he didn't know her as well as he thought.

She cast a knowing smile at Fallon a moment before she left. Fallon would know how much of a fighter she was.. training with the BMC constantly would do that to you.
"Yeah... Shes a little rough around the edges." Beth commented, looking back at Zac. "But she is a good person at heart. Insanely loyal and caring." She did what she could for you...even laying her own life down if she had to. She was a good leader.
"She is a good friend of mine, so no dissing her!" She stuck her tongue back out, THIS was the beth he should remember...

"She's creepy" he shot back unfazed. "I don't think I like her... she have a thing against guys or something?" He shook his head and offered her the tea he'd brought back. "So... 'Purple'...."

Despite her condition, bruised throat and all... she couldnt help but find herself laughing. "No no.. she treats all genders equally. 'Creepy' though i think is the wrong word. She has a Aura of authority around here.. you must be feeling that."
"yeah... Purple." She said, suddenly drawing back into her shell. She couldn't tell him..no...

"N....no... No 'Aura of Authority' doesn't normally feel like 'I am a serial killer in the making who will use your perfectly tanned skin to make my new curtains" So maybe he was exaggerating just a LITTLE but she was rather creepy

A short laugh. "Serial killer? Hardly! She would never hurt a fly. " Negaverser maybe, but that was beside the point. "No dissing my friend!" She pouted once more, looking rather pathetic hooked up to the IVs.
"..Thank you for saving me, Zac."

"Finding you isn't saving you..." He said glancing away, more than a little guilt in his face. He'd let her down, the one person he wanted away from all this, the one person who wasn't INVOLVED and here she was, hurt and tied to these awful drip lines.
