Well frankly I'm still abit pissed off about you deleting my contest, am I or am I not allowed to start it up again because it was unfair to the contestants that you did that and I would really love to have it back as MY contest not yours.
EDIT:
First. I like this guild, I don't mean to be mean but you should get rid of this no posting without asking rule. It might turn people away.
Second. You should definatly have a crew I think you need one, people who are active and are on allot, like me. I would be willing to offer my services to help out I get on during school all the time and I'm active.
Third. Just have fun and don't be strict.

I was thinking of suggesting that the guild should separate the interests such like in the sub-forum is a place specifically for the Artists/Writers/Photographers so not get things muddled up, later in the future.

As for those introduction threads how about placing them also in it's own personal area close by the rules of the guild, as to why am I suggesting this one? It's because I thought this guild had no rules of its own to be followed until a bit later on.

And also for the contests you could place the main contests at normal forums of the guild.

You can post your contest once more in the chatterbox section of the guild. There you can keep your thread, with no chance of being deleted by the means that its your contest, only by it violating the other rules.

Such as showing lack of respect, spaming, harsh/hurtful opinions of a person's work, above pg13 language and or artwork and if the artwork isnt orginal/ taking credit for other people's work.

But i know your contest didnt violate any of the other rules mentioned above. I look forward to seeing it arise once more. Have a nice day~

Your first rule sucks.

The fist rule has been adressed and dealt with already. If you wish to make a thread on your own accord then you must post it in the chatterbox forum. Making sure you follow the rest of the rules that have been set in place. Have a nice day~

I agree, kind of. Maybe a couple extra sub forums, but too many would make this place feel kinda empty.

I agree with reorganizing the forums for better understandment to aid new members. But i don't agree with the seprating of the different arts. (Photograph, drawing, writers) The point of the guild is to bring then together under one environment. To meet new people, learn new things and things of the sort. And now for the new forums, i disagree as well. As red stated it will make the guild seem smaller than it actaully is. Many forums would probably go to waste if they were created merely upon urge, without much of an identifiable purpose. Unless they were bump threads, and even then too many of those would be pointless.

You should make more sub-forms.

I don't know why you haven't already, its not like 2.5k is alot D:

You should make one for each type of media and also keep chatterbox as an extra.
Like:
Photography
Art
Contests - which are made by people here and / or the attual guilds.

The way everything is schluped together makes it feel messy and unorganised.
I know you don't want to seperate people out but it doesn't feel nice unlike other Guilds i've seen. It feels too controlled by your rules.

It wasnt super effective

Personally, I like the idea of other Sub-forums to better cater to the different arts. [Photography, Drawn Visual Arts, Writing, Music] It gives those who have questions to help improve their work, such as critics or pose specific questions about the techniques of others. While the Chatter box can be used for group talks about different arts, why the appeal to them, & miscellaneous topics. I don't think the chatter box would be a good place for contests... I really think that contests should be something that's strictly left to the main forum. It would help avoid clutter in the chatter box, & it'd be one of the first things new members see when they join into the guild. That being said, it would also make the contests easier to find when the chatterbox gets more topics added to it. Granted, that would mean members would need to request permission to post contests relating to the arts, but I think that's a small price to pay for organization.

I know bunches of other people have already suggested other subforums and such, and I just want to say I completely agree. If you don't want tons of them, I suggest at least having a subforum that's completely dedicated to critique and such, sort of like the Picture Post (though it would be great if it didn't turn INTO the PP. Yeesh...).
It would make it allot easier to find the topics wanting real help then having to wade through the chatterbox that's filled with random topics, contests, and people just sharing art. The people wanting critique would get more posts and help and everyone would be happy, no?

Hey guys, i was thinking that it might be good to have a help forum, so people can get feedback on WIP's and teach each other tricks of the trade(eg. colouring pictures, editing photos).

Firsty I have to say this guild grew so quickly and so far you're doing a wonderful job keeping it active, so kudos to you.

Secondly off the top of my head I have suggestions for two subfoums portfolio/sketchbook and critique.

The first would be used sort of like how conceptart.org has their thread. Users could make a sketch or portfolio thread to post their art work (mind you, at appropriate sizes as not to stretch the page) and others can come and look at their work and comment or critique. It's an excellent way to get artistic feedback. In the case of music and acting it works the same way, just links to auditions/monologues/original works instead of image posts.

The second, critique, is pretty self explanatory. A user posts a work in progress or finished piece to get critique on how to improve it. This would be like the sketchbook thread, but instead of a whole user gallery in a thread it would be just one work that they wished heavily analyzed.

That's just what I can think of for now. c:

/edit After re-reading the thread I have a few more comments to add. It seems like people want separate sub-forums for different art, but the guild point is to keep them all together. In this case what you could do is make an option thread-labeling rule. I've seen this done in many guilds, namely B/C RP guilds, and it works quite well.

Basically all you do is make an announcement or sticky with the different labeling rules, like so:

Mock Thread Post
If you so wish, please put one of the following into your title. This way we will know what type of art you are displaying/asking for critique on without the clutter of too many separate subfoums:

[P] - for photography;
[D] - for drawing, painting, ect.;
[M] - for music;
[PA] - for performing arts...

...and down the line, you get the point. For example, if you made a thread asking for critique of your photography, it would go like this:

Mock Thread Title
[P] Please critique me! c:

Hope that helps and I made it understandable! :3
