IHateMyLifeButLove jerksofreshhhh # Please inform me before you post a new thread. I have to approve it first. There seems to be a fiar bit of controversy around this particular rule and I must agree with the outrage over it. Jerksofreahhhh, Please remove this rule. while I understand where you are coming from art is in and of it's self a form of speech, and by limiting posts and topics in this way you are limiting the very thing this guild was presumably created for. This being said also please note that this rule if kept in place will drive people away from this guild (my self included). I implore you to reconsider. amen

Freedom of speech, yo! biggrin Agreed on the subforum part! I second that notion~ <3 A subforum is 2500 gold. if u want it. donate it.

Guys you realize that freedom of speech isn't really a thing on the internet, right? Not to say I disagree that the rule is rather ridic (I had my own thread deleted and never got a response back on whether of not I would be able to put another one up) and the fact that the point of a guild is to generate discussion amongst people and limiting that discussion just sort of...doesn't make sense. I could understand the worry of having too many whitenoise topics, I moderate a place myself and understand having to cut the fat, but people will leave if they don't agree with what you present to them. e:  Allow me.

I understand both sides of this but you also have to see it this way.
It is his guild and if he wants to be bothered by a dozen people asking to create a thread then let him
Yes it might be annoying to PM someone saying Hey I would like to make a thread in this guild about this and blah blah blah but hey chit happens and we can't really do anything about it.
If you don't like the rules then don't participate in the guild or just quit.
There are a dozen other guilds that deal with this kind of stuff, go join one of them.

Seriously, when you make a donation to the guild it gets put into a bank of sorts so that Gaia makes sure that the money gets used for guild spending purposes only. Assuming you don't know how to manage the guild money, I'll talk you through it. Go to the Moderators Panel, click. Under the Captain Controls there should be an option that reads Edit forums, click on it. This should bring you to a listing of all of your forums, listing the main first & following with sub forums. Here you can change who has access to these forums, but that's not what we're looking for right now. Look to the right from this listing & you should see a note that tells you how much the sub-forums cost, as well as the guild's total account balance. Above this is the Purchase addition forum link, click on it. This will bring you to another screen for further confirmation which will read as follows: Create Subforum
Creating a subforum will charge 2500 gold to your guild account. Please confirm that you want to create a subforum. Your guild account currently has _________ gold. Another button will follow that reads Create Subforum, click on it. You'll be prompted to title it & what not. From there, I'm sure you could figure it out. However, if you do need any more assistance, please don't hesitate to ask me. I've run three guilds in the past, so I've learned it pretty easy & I'm always willing to help out with this kinda thing. YEA. I JUST FOUND THAT OUT. I MADE THE SUBFORUM NOW.

Anyways... Alrighty, folks! What we have now is a chatterbox forum for the general public! We can make posting on it whenever we want, without Captain permission. Please just remember to follow the Rules that apply both to the Chatterbox, as well as House Rules of the over all Guild. (Basically, have some common sense & keep it clean.) However, as the rules clearly still say, in order to make a post on the MAIN forum, you will need permission from the Guild Captain. Not a bad compromise, everyone still gets the chatter they need to have & the Captain still gets to have his regular posting space. If you have any other questions or concerns, please remember to bring them up in the Suggestion Box Thread. Thank you for input, & your patience.

Wow...ya know...some people. I too have owned/do own a few threads and guilds but seriously I just joined this guild and will now quit. Not because the Guild owner shows incompetence or anything like that but because of some of the people he has allowed to join and disrespect his wishes. I don't think I feel safe showing my art work if people can't even follow his simple rule or request. How can I be for certain that people will follow his rules regarding being rude, negative, or not mean? I have enough stress in my world as it is...I can already see that being here will just give me more.
I am sorry jerksofreshhhh I respect what you are trying to do, I respect artists of all kinds, and I am flattered that you even invited me! But I will have to bow out of this one. Thank you once again.

Although we can donate to the guild, and gaia holds the money. How will jerksofreshhh pay the winners of contests and such? I dont think the gaia lets you take money out. And im not sure if it has a feature that lets the captian give money to members(/winners) from the amount the guild has. I think the trade system was working fine, now how about we do this; if a winner of a contest ever claims that he/she never got the money they were promised then we donate to the guild strictly... but then arises the question did the person actually recieve the money, and is only claiming that they never did. I think we should just trust the guild captain. He is doing his best and is keeping the guild running in a smooth manner, despite all the complaining and arguements that arise with people.
