If the Negaverse were not silenced permanently, what indentified this world as the world would be annihilated. This place would be changed, and Nemesis could not begin to imagine the horrors that would come out of having Beryl (she refused to even think of the woman with the title Queen) lord over them. If, by some miracle, the Negaverse won this battle, Nemesis hoped she would be dead, because she would not live on a planet that was tainted by their corrupted notions of right and wrong. She didn't deserve it, her family didn't deserve it.
Nemesis had witnessed Alkaid's attack before, but this was different. She wasn't prepared for this ******** that was tormenting her. The light completely enraptured her, and for a few precious seconds she was immobolized, defenseless. It was more than enough time for Tanzanite to step in, freeing Nemesis from that spell with a swift punch to her stomach. She choked on her own breath, hunching over in obvious pain.
Tanzanite's voice whipped her earth with a harsh stroke of breath. Training dummy. The insult rung in her ear, set a fire burning in the cavity of her chest. "Decay of Breath!" her intended target was no longer Alkaid, she wanted Tanzanite's ******** mouth to be stapled shut. "I would be more keen to quiet your own ******** mouth, before I smash your jaw to bits with the heel of my boot. Your voice is one that'll bring this precious ******** planet you want to save to its own death." Her hands were shaking, the rage seizing hold over her thoughts, making further words impossible.
Tanzanite was immobolized, so the ******** general could watch as Nemesis tore her pet to s**t. Whatever guilt she had over Alkaid was shredded completely as she dove, intending to shove her shoulder up against that soft spot underneath Alkaid's rib cage. If she could get the corrupted senshi on the ground, she could pummel the crap out of her.

Alkaid dropped her hands as Tanzanite's fist connected with Nemesis' stomach - physical contact was the fastest way to break someone out of the spell and she was pretty sure Nemesis couldn't ignore that punch no matter how entranced she was. The orb floating between them flickered and died just as Tanzanite leaned down to whisper harsh words that Alkaid couldn't understand from the distance.
She had smiled, her lips had turned up into a devilish, confident smirk - Nemesis would learn to cower before the true power the Negaverse had to offer. Then Nemesis had pulled out her own trick. Her smirk faded before Nemesis had even finished uttering the last syllable of her attack, turning into a sneer. Her teeth grit as she listened to the outrageous words dripping from Nemesis' mouth like acid.
How dare she.
Again, Alkaid was in the position to gauge her enemy's actions. She didn't let the sudden surge of rage cloud her vision, she wasn't a fool to throw caution to the wind when something didn't go right. Alkaid's mind was designed to be two steps ahead and, as Nemesis dove to try and catch her before she could react, Alkaid had already steeled herself. Once the Senshi was in range, she drew back her arm and aimed a swift blow with her elbow right against her nose. Not only would Nemesis have to deal with the power of Alkaid's own attack, but her momentum would work against her.

Some people might have been able to dodge Nemesis' attack, but Tanzanite's unique strength was also her greatest weakness. The moment the words were uttered, she could feel her right arm lock up immediately. First the claws, then her hand, up her arm and throughout her body. Within seconds, she was frozen in place, unable to do little more than stare as Nemesis once again threw herself at Alkaid with that cocky look plastered all over her face.
The senshi's second round of words had done nothing to cool Tanzanite's sparked temper. In fact, it had ignited it. Though the General could not move, her body shook with an inhuman growl, a sound that came solely from the part of her that was more monster than human.
Nemesis had only minutes before a very angry, black-eyed General would be loose to move forward and try to tear that arrogant smirk quite literally off of her face.

Nemesis had gone and done it, managed to piss off both of her opponents to the point where, if she had any sense of mind about her, she was going to get her a** handed to her in so many unpleasant ways. The first warning sign should have been Alkaid's elbow ramming her nose. Rage could dull the pain, but it would never make it go away. No, she felt the injury acutely as soon as it was made, and quickly twisted to the side to avoid further damage. She stumbled back from Alkaid, holding a hand over her face.
God, if her nose was broken she was going to <******** s**t up. Nemesis had lost her momentum, but the fire still burned in her gut, and perhaps her next onslaught was fueled by the fact that Tanzanite would be free any second. Once she was free, there was no way Nemesis was getting out of this. She wouldn't be able to run fast enough, not with two corrupted beings on her tail. She couldn't outfight them both.
But, she sure as hell knew that she could outfit Alkaid, and she very damn well would. Her attempt to get Alkaid low didn't work, and so she aimed for the same spot the senshi had hit her - if her nose was broken this chick's was going to be too.

An enraged opponent could be deadly or careless and in Nemesis' case, she was the second. Alkaid had no doubt that if she'd let her fist come into contact with her own face, she would have been sorry for it in the morning but Alkaid wasn't the type to let an opponent land a pity blow. Alkaid knew only one thing for certain - her speed was her only chance in this battle and she was not going to waste it.
As Nemesis swung around to try and make Alkaid see how a broken nose felt, she grabbed her by the arm and used the girl's momentum against her once more. Only this time, she sent Nemesis head over heels with one good toss, aiming to reintroduce the senshi to the hard, packed dirt beneath their feet.
She wasted no time in swooping after her. She pulled back one heeled foot and aimed for Nemesis' ribs, now exposed where she was laying on the ground. There was no sneer, no wicked smirk, just a dark determination that she had only worn once before - on the entrance to Elysion.

The next few seconds were faster than they should have been, time slowed painfully down only by the resounding kick to her ribcage. She screamed, the first real sound of pain that she was unable to somehow muffle. Nemesis had to do something quick, or these few precious seconds of having Tanzanite paralyzed would have been for nothing. If she didn't figure out a plan, her family would be planning a tragic funeral that would make her own soul scream in agony at how dreadful it was.
But now it was hurting to move, even as she rolled onto her side the pressure in her torso would not relieve itself. Nemesis gasped for breath, a hand moving to feel over her own ribs, fingertips trembling. God, if they were broken too, Nemesis was screwed. She couldn't even roll back onto her knees, as things were. "******** you," she wheezed, the words the only ones she was intelligent enough to come up with. "Knew you would always be a piece of s**t," she coughed, trying to stagger back onto her feet, but any move she made towards righting herself failed, "senshi." It was detestable to even call Alkaid that.
Alkaid was no longer a senshi, as far as she was concerned.

Alkaid had drawn back her leg again and begun to aim it at Nemesis' exposed back, until those harsh words passed her lips. Alkaid pressed her lips into a thin line and narrowed her eyes on the senshi wallowing in pain at her feet. Then she stooped over and grabbed Nemesis by the collar of her fuku, forcing her to stare up into Alkaid's face.
"How dare you," she hissed. Behind that grim mask was a cold, burning fire, directed entirely at Nemesis. Acid dripped off her words and her eyes aimed to burn a hole right through her forehead. "Every breath that you breathe, every word you speak, every step that you take is because of my sacrifice." She curled her fists tighter into the fabric and pulled hard, bringing Nemesis closer to her face.
"What I am today is of your making, Nemesis!" As she spoke the last words she pulled back her fist and crashed it into Nemesis' jawline, just for emphasis. She let go of the fist curled into the fabric of Nemesis' collar, letting the girl drop heavily back onto the earth. Then, just to make her point extremely clear, she drew her fist back again and aimed for the side of Nemesis' ribs she hadn't already destroyed.
"So look at me with pride," her words were barely above a whisper, but they were full of all the pain that Alkaid had felt in the passing weeks, "because I would be nowhere without you."

Tanzanite watched, somewhat fascinated by the sudden transformation that was taking place before her eyes. No longer was Alkaid the quiet, defenseless girl Tanzanite had fought as a Lieutenant. As she took out all of her frustration and pain out on Nemesis' face, the General could not help but smile like a proud stage mother. Now, it was clear that Alkaid knew. That she believed. She understood what they were fighting for and who they were fighting against.
So as the attack wore off, Tanzanite did not feel a need to rush in to aid the senshi. Even once she was able to curl those black claws into a fist, she did not strike. She listened to the hate pouring out of Alkaid's mouth and basked in the glow of that perfect moment. Alkaid had been brought to the light as she tried to save Nemesis, and now fought as the misguided Senshi of Decay tried to save her.
It was almost too poetic to interrupt, but as Alkaid's fist came down again and again, Tanzanite's voice rang out, calm and quiet, “That's enough, Alkaid.”
A few long strides brought Tanzanite to where the two girls grappled. Unlike most of the Negaverse, Tanzanite had little interest in killing the senshi. They needed to understand, even if the only way to show them was through the use of excessive force. They needed to be shown the light of the Negaverse, to finally understand that they had been fighting against a righteous cause all this time.
“Thank whatever God you believe in,” she said, “that I am a merciful woman, Sailor Nemesis, and I will not force you to see things my way. Our way,” she rested a hand upon Alkaid's shoulder, “But remember the girl you knew, the one you think you've lost, and ask yourself: would she fight you with such passion over a cause that was not worthwhile? Would she nearly kill you if she did not have reason to see you as a threat? You've been lied to, Senshi of Decay, and some day you will want to know the truth. And when that day comes... never fear.
We'll find you."

Nemesis could do nothing, she had reached that point where she was completely stripped of power and control over the situation. It was humiliating and infuriating. ******** Alkaid, a senshi Nemesis had considered worthless for a good while, was getting the better of her. Each well-aimed hit drove the point home, that Nemesis had lost. It wasn't a matter of who was right and who was wrong, but rather who had won and who had lost. Nemesis hated losing, and she had been doing far too much of it.
Things needed to change, and soon.
The sailor soldier curled up on her side in the fetal position to try and protect herself. Still, Alkaid attacked her brutally, relentlessly. The girl felt that same fire that Nemesis had felt, that had still been going strong until Alkaid proceeded to beat the s**t out of her. "You obviously don't think it's a sacrifice, you b***h," she choked out, but it was hard to speak. Her jaw was throbbing with pain, and in fact, her whole body hurt. It was going to take a while to recover from this, even with a senshi's ability to heal quicker.
Her face was forced up, so her gaze would inevitably meet Alkaid's. She didn't hesitate to match the corrupted senshi's stare. "You are nothing to be proud of, you are nothing but someone's peon, someone's new pet. If you were your own person, I would be proud, because now you can finally ******** do something." Alkaid had chosen the wrong side, for the wrong reasons. Alkaid had let her mind be filled with the poison of the Negaverse - every decision she made was swayed by their power. She did nothing for herself anymore.
Nemesis supposed there was nothing left of Alkaid for the girl to even do for.
Her energy was quickly draining, and Nemesis knew she wouldn't be able to remain powered up for much longer. There was no way in hell she'd let these bitches see her civilian identity, but at this rate there was nothing she could do. Tanzanite was cutting into her line of vision, and though her voice grated on her ears, Nemesis listened...
And then proceeded to flip Tanzanite off.
It was probably a bad decision, but the general needed to know that Nemesis had her truth, she lived not under the delusions of other senshi, or the delusions of the Negaverse. At the most, she lived under her own delusions, and she was content with that.

Alkaid's body went rigid the moment Tanzanite spoke. Her hands (which had been poised mid-punch) pushed off the ground and sent her swiftly into a standing position where she loomed over Nemesis. As the hateful words rolled off of Nemesis' tongue, Alkaid stared on silently - the hand on her shoulder was a brace against anything Nemesis could muster. Tanzanite was a stone support she had no fear would crumble and fail her.
She was content to take backstage to Tanzanite then. She's gotten her point across as best as she was able and if Nemesis didn't understand after the verbal and physical abuse then there was nothing else that Alkaid could say. Tanzanite, though, was harsher in both respects and the speech she delivered couldn't have been more inspiring if she had been Nemesis in that moment.
Except that the senshi had no idea how to keep her mouth shut.
Alkaid grimaced as that single finger flipped up in the one of the worst insults she had seen of Nemesis to date. She would have said something to remind the senshi of her place had Tanzanite not acted ten times faster. In a blur of purple, the general's wicked hand shot out and grasped firmly around the offending finger, completely obstructing it from view. Then there was a sickening crunch as the clawed hand constricted and snapped Nemesis' finger in a gruesome reminder of manners.
Alkaid jerked her head quickly away, even though there was very little to see, and shut her eyes out of instinct. She looked back to see the general straightening back up and, without a word or a snide remark, teleporting away from the scene of the crime. Tanzanite's exit was a clear dismissal but Alkaid lingered for a few moments more, staring down at Nemesis with what might have been sympathy.
Then she simply teleported in the same way that Tanzanite had, without a word, leaving the senshi of decay bleeding, broken and utterly alone.
