Aurora eager to have been called a friend moved to stradle onto the cat boys back. It was a bit awkward as, well they were both male, but Aurora was fairly lithe, not very muscular at all. Some...would even call him dainty.
"Well I think it is terrible. Your being so nice to me. I am glad someone at the very least took the time to get to know you." he confirmed with a nod of his head while he setteled onto the boys back, he was fairly light.

"Thanks," said Kinnara. "Okay hold on and here we go." Kinnara took off in a somewhat run. It was a bit fast and bumpy because then came to a stop. His ears and tail shifted. "That is a whole lot of thorns," he said. Kinnara looked around to see if there was anything to cling onto. "Well do you see it? The basket?"

Aurora had shut his eyes the wind had made them sting and water, as they finally came to a stop he found the curage to open them again.
His sight was greeted by a wall of thorns, just above them was the cliff he reconized as the one he fell off of earlier. But as for his basket...he didn't see it anywhere.
"Hmm..no...I don't see it. I had black berries in it and the basket itself was white..." he gazed around but didn't spot it. "Perhaps i should get off your back and we can continue on foot to search?"

Kinnara then knelt down again. "Okay. Just make sure to be carefull and beware of the thorns." He then let Briar off his back. "I will look from up high," he said seeing a tree. He then climbed.
Being a cat is was easy for him to do. He perched himself uptop of the tree on a big branch. His ears moved about in the wind and his tail moved slowly as if he were hunting a mouse and getting ready to pounce on it.
"See anything?" asked Kinnara.

Aurora slid off the boys back and felt his toes meet the earth once more. Feeling the solid world under his feet again he felt a bit more secure in the situation and then nodded his head and watched in wonderment as Kinnara leapt into a tree as agile as a squirrel. Some would think him strange to reference the cat boy to a squirrel, but this was his first time seeing...a cat..
As he was asked a question directly he looked about carefully heading Kinnara's warning about the thorns, he had already dueled with them ocne oday. Thorns 1 Aurora 0.
"I don't see it." he called out he then kneeled to see if he was able to look under the branches any, but the bush was so thick it seemed like it was impossible for him to have come this way to begin with.
"Maybe we should just give up on it?" he asked with a bit of a sigh.

Kinnara then used his trusty nose to sniff them out. "Look to your right about 45 degree and then 10 degrees up. That is where the smell is coming from," said Kinnara. "I know it sound wierd but do it. I think that is were your basket is. I am way to stubborn to give up that easy. "
He had always been stubborn and he really never knew about giving up.

Following Kinnara's instructions he turned his head and gazed over in the direction he had indicated. It was amazing it seemed but there it was, the corner of the white basket was peeking out of the thorns, lying on its side amoungst the brambles.
"oh!!! your are right i see it now!" Aurora excliamed happily. But now came the obstacle of getting the basket.
"But ...oh dear, I don't think we want to brave those thorns to get at it."

"Don't worry I will get it," he said looking about for a closer branch or rock that he can cling onto. He looked and looked and saw a small rock. "This is going th be a bit of a jump. He then stood up and backed up into the tree and then ran toward the edge and jumped off. Kinnara then made a bit of a stretch to get onto the rock.As soon as he landed on it he started to slip but he got a second graps on it and crouched onto it like a cat about to pounce.
"I think i can reach it," he said stretching out his left arm and clinging to the rock. Kinnara continue to stretch his body til he was able to get the basket. He had to used his fingers to bring it closer to him. A few times he got cut by the thorns. Kinnara then had a full grip on it and then tosed it to Briar. "Here ya go." said Kinnara. After throwing it Kinnara lost his balance and fell into the thorns and rolled through them. He was cut, poke, spiked and every kind of pain there was. All kinds of painfull screams could be heard till he finally rolled out by Briar feet. He was covered in cuts and thorns.

Aurora watched with baited breath and excliamed worriedly as Kinnara leapt to the rock. Catching the basket awkwardly he managed to save a couple berries from falling out of the basket and litering the forest floor.
He looked up just as Kinnara fell in. Dropping the basket it lay on the earthen floor ignored as Aurora worriedly searched for his new friend amoungst the curses and screams of pain coming from the bushes.
As Kinnara landed by his feet covered in cuts and bruises Aurora rushed to his side and knelt down. "Why did you ...." he said in caugth breath, he wasn't one to curse, or put people down thus he took off his green turkin and then his pale shirt. Putting the turkin back on he then used his shirt to dab gently at the blood pooling on Kinnara's skin. With nimble fingers he then went about plucking thorns adeptly outof his skin.
"Stay still, this will hurt but you can't have those thorns stuck in you." he cautioned his tone firm his face determined as his eyes flicked to each thorn anchored into the cat boys flesh.

Kinnara flinched with every thorn coming out of him. He mummble as each thorn was being pulled out. "Owe...I lost my balance I guess," he said clutching his fist.
"Well the good thing is you got your basket back," he said looking up at Briar. His cat tail and ears moved about but it was very slowly. "I guess I am as stupid as they say when it come to the cat of the zodiac."
Kinnara continued to flinch here and there as Briar pulled out the thorns.

Aurora shifted his position after getting the thorns out of Kinnara's legs and uppper body. He moved towards Kinnara's head and then sat and gently lifted Kinnara's head and let it lay in his lap as he continued to find thorns, burrs and others things in his hair and clothes.
"You are NOT stupid." Aurora stressed as he used his slender fingers to fish through the cat boys hair looking for stray burrs, thorns and the like. "You are very kind and considerate. Not many people would risk their health to get a mere basket. That takes a great strength of character." he continued his eyes still darting about searching out every last unpleasant surprise.
He seemed to have such a gentle touch, as if he was used to tending to wounds...or perhaps he just was dainty...

"Thanks," said Kinnara. He then sat up and smiled. "Most people would avoid but you are the first person to stay by me and not run away." His ears then shifted up. His tail wrapped around him and then
"So umm thanks for taking care of my and getting the thorns out of my body," said Kinnara.

Aurora gave a small smile before picking up his shirt and taking one of the sleeves and witha tremendous tug managed half tear one of his sleeves off. "Well i wouldn't abandon the only friend I have." he went on as he then inspected the loose threads and taking them in his mouth bit at them to loosen them furhter. Finally able to take the sleeve right off he then started to dab at the wounds that were bleeding the most on Kinnara's body.
"But...you should be careful..." he said more softly.

"I will try next time," he said with a smile. Then he started the lick his hand like a cat who cleans his fur. Kinnara could feel Briar kindness and helping him stop the bleeding.
"Maybe we should get out of the forest," said Kinnara.

Aurora's movements as he dabbed hesitated for but a moment. He had never left the forest, not once in his life. THe thought nearly froze him on the spot, but he continued as if nothing had frightened him. What would his aunties say? He should probably get back...but as he thought about it the more his mind started to get foggy. Something in the back of his mind urged him to go forward...and not look behind.
"Sure...though I am not sure where 'out' is. But if we stick together I am sure we will get out." he said with the smile still on his face. "One sec..." he said as he put the cloth to Kinnara's cheek were a bit of blood was starting to crust.
