Rishy cursed and jumped out of the tree. how had she lost her prey, everything went according to plan. she felt stupid and ignorant. she figured that it had something to do with the mares butterfly wings. could the mare make herself invisable? even if that was the case Rishy would have still hit her when she went in for the kill. she looked around a bit more and then gave up and headed back the way they had come from. there was still that bird under the bush. the thought of the meager thing was hardly satisfying, but thats all she had for now. maybe she could find a nice herd of deer or a mini pony to snack on. whatever her desision, she figured that the mare that had escaped had better appreciate her gift of life.

Time was beyond Dominica's mind at the moment. Hours, minutes, she didn't know what had passed. All she knew was that Rishy was gone. But, would she stay gone?
She wanted to remain within her safe hiding spot until someone came along that could keep her safe. Hania, her father, Aisha, anyone would do. But the still functioning portion of her mind pushed beyond the fuzz, telling her that she could not stay where she was. Soon, she would faint and revert back to her normal size. The strain was just too much for her battered body and mind.
Biting down a sound of pain, Dominica flapped her green moth wings and took to the air. It was an unsteady flight as she dipped and wobbled in the air, her wings barely keeping her in the air as she moved further and further away from the area of the attack. Not wanting to revert there in case Rishy were to return.
Darkness continued to encroach on her vision, and when it finally swallowed her up, the mare dropped the short distance to the ground. Her body reverting back to its normal size as she laid on the ground like a lifeless doll.
