He checks his pockets "I am a german.. I joined because I am good at what I do.. they needed translators I joined.. they pay well. protect the men.." he pulls out a candy bar and opens it taking a bite and breaking off half for her.

Leisel looked at it suspeciosly, then snatched it, eating it as secretly as possible. "Protect you, maybe. We are so weak. Each Nazi could probably take care of two at a time. One more makes a big difference. Just you in general strengthens his army." She ate the last bite of the candy. "Why would you be nice to a Jew anyway?" She asked as an after thought.

Leisel crossed her arms. "Just becaue I'm a girl doesnt make me any weaker than a man." She said stubbornly.

He laughs "I mearly was stating that you are no different then any other girl out there.. My mother and sister could beat me up.. I know being a girl does not mean you are weaker.."

Leisel gave him a small, weak smile. "Im glad you think that. Im also glad that you havent shot me yet." She added, putting her hands behind her back.

Leisel chuckled with a slight blush, looking back toward a couple Jewish children playing, despite their hunger and pain.

He smiles "I must get back to work" he gets up and heads towards where he had to walk.

He looks at her and smirks "not like you can go anywhere" he laughs "tomorrow" he nods heading off feeling good about talking to her again.

Leisel smiled softly. Nazi soldiers were pushing everyone into the building for sleep. She unwillingly walked into the building, sharing a bed with a little girl. She fell asleep with positive dreams.

The next day Frederic was back on his rounds talking with others about things. he spoke with the guards getting the jews food, it wasnt the best but it was food.

Leisel saw Fredric. She about ran over to him, until she thought that it was too risky with the other guards around. she just sat by herfelf with what very little food she was given.

He was speaking with the prisoners telling them to be calm and go about their day. he seemed very calm and was avoiding her for now.
