Xanatos had been about to comment on singing being a perfectly lovely art, when quite suddenly there was a wet pile of noodles on his head, half slopped into his face and mouth. "uhhhhhhhhh, well then." he said in surprise before grinning.
"Qui' an inter'stin' powa y'gotthar. Gotta get m'firs' mate'ta'clear th'up." And he suddenly snapped his fingers, summoning a large black thing with a leaf on its head to come over and start slurping up the pasta.

"See?! Pasta is so Yummy, so I is so happ-SQUISHY!!" Feli squealed, hopping down out of his mom's arms and racing over to the shadow, giggling. "She got horns! Big horns! She like Syn!" He clapped his hands, bouncing in his spot, knowing better than to approach a shadow that you don't know. Even if she was the cutest thing in the world.
Alome laughed a bit, pulling out a handkerchief from her purse, and began to gently cleaning the pasta off the captain,
"Sorry about that... You'd be surprised about how often that happens.. You can always tell when he's hungry, pasta starts flying by..." Being so close to the other made a light blush dust across her cheeks, and she pulled her hands away from him, folding the napkin.
"So.. Um... Uh.. You have a shadow too! We have one as well. Her name is Syn." She was trying to distract the other from the whole incident.

Cuppy, once she'd slurped up as much pasta as possible, seemed immensely pleased to see someone notice her. Immediately, the Shadow jumped down to half pounce Feli, and hug him. She was barely smaller than the boy, and with her antlers, was extremely ungainly, so Xanny had to lean forward to grab onto one, holding the two up so his shadow didn't knock Feli over.
Because he was doing this, the boy totally missed Alome's blushing and hasty subject change. Standing straight, he grinned, "Ah, s'Cuppeh. Shessa firs' mate, cus' she's t'cute t'leave wi'ou a job." he hastily explained. "Shessa hypa one, tha, so go'a washow."
"Wha's yer Syn ly? Nice lil fella?"
