The cleric couldn't help but giggle as the ranger spoke, and his breath in her ear tickled. She shook her head to dislodge the sensation as he backed away, still all smiles. "Thank you, Cier," she called after his waving tail, settling her soft and...slightly pudgy...frame beside the dame where she lay curled on the bed.
"It's a little scary, but I'm sure you'll do fine," she soothed, having had enough proud females stay with her to know that the dame's mostly never spoke up when they were nervous. "Besides, I've noticed fathers tend to be the terrified ones. I found one male fainted clean away outside the den when I went to bring him to see his new pups," she chuckled, nuzzling Kyla's ear briefly before frowning out where Cier had disappeared. "Uhm. He won't...actually...try to hunt a hippo...right?"

Smiling warmly at her mate, unable to keep the affection from her expression, she chuckled softly at his reply, shaking her head with a snort as she eyed him. "Go on, pink poet.. your mate is getting hungry enough to eat Nene's bedding." Chuckling as he left the den she shook her head in amusement. At least life was never dull with Cier at her side.
Looking back at the cleric she smiled. "No.." Laughing softly she glanced back at the den's entrance where her mate had vanished form view. "Thats just how he is.. ever the joker." Huffing a little breath she let her head drop to her forepaws, grateful for Nene's reassurance but not ready to admit it. For some reason, she felt that admitting her fear out loud would make it all the more real, and she had spent a lifetime keeping such feelings to herself. Still.. she was very grateful for the other female's company as they waited for Cier's return.
