Azkeel Hoshioni stuff like that annoys me though i mean the symbol of the thing crist is killed on is Really somehow better??? You mean a tourcher device? Funny almost ironic how something like the swastika could be a symbol of peace then turned into hate. While a cross would be a symbol of pain, suffering, death but then be flipped to mean peace... I see what you mean here Azkeel. The thing is, Many Christians chose the cross as their reference to the Messiah dying for our sins, yet for them to take it for use on everything is Sac-Religous. What if the Son of God was hung? Then, would a noose be the ultimate symbol for Christianity? Many prisoners, ones of which died only for their own selfish sin, were nailed to crosses as well.

Obscurus I've noticed that Christianity has a tendency to demonize or assimilate things it doesn't agree with or is in competition with. Mostly demonize. My point with stating this is that most of the Truther Community seem to come from a Christian viewpoint and therefore a lot of benign symbols end up being deemed evil. A symbol only means what you think it means. Sadly, a lot of beautiful symbols now have evil connotations because Christianity saw them as being against it. I'm not trying to pick on Christianity here, but it really is what I see a lot of. An example: The inverted (point down) pentagram. A pentagram with the point up symbolizes the Four Elements with an emphasis on Spirit (hence the pointing up). The inverted pentagram symbolizes the same thing, only with emphasis on chthonic (earth) energies. There's nothing inherently Satanic or evil about it, but it's been adopted by Satanists and because of that it is viewed as something evil. The mesh with Christianity and the Elite are wound together due to how the Illuminati are of the occult, tracing them to Satanistic beings. In your last statement, you spoke about how Satanists adopted the symbol. Properly educated Christians know that the pentagram itself is not evil, yet it is of a wiccan culture, dealing with science, nature, and energy. Yet, because of the occult stealing this icon, Chrisitans point their finger at it and look down. I think you pin-pointing Christians failure of symbolism is smart, but there is also other groups that have a ignorance on the origin of many other symbols as well. Just as Azkeel pointed out, The Swastika was once a symbol of peace, but because the Nazis used the symbol, it is now viewed otherwise. This goes the same for a rainbow, which used to be viewed as a symbol of Yahweh's promise to never flood the Earth again, is now taken in by the homosexual and transgender groups. I totally agree with you that the pentagram has no specific satanistic origin what-so-ever, but I do not think it is the Christian group alone's fault for this ignorance, I think the Satanistic group shares most of the blame.

People will adopt symbols and suit them to their own purposes regardless of the history. This is unavoidable since there are only so many symbols and so much potential meaning out there.

I'm not saying I'm "super smart" or anything, but damn, I know I'm above average compared to today's standards, when 50 years ago I would've been below average.

So, I was watching this program the other day, for a few minutes before I re-deemed television pathetic. They were saying that conspiracy theorists believe a particular area on the map to be evil because the roads formed and owl and the owl is linked to bad luck and Artemis. That's when I turned off the television and went for a walk. lol

Obscurus I remember reading somewhere that early Christians actually borrowed the Egyptian ankh for their symbol before they began using the cross. Or like the word amen, which is said at the end of prayer, is actually the name of a egyptian god. In which by saying his name every day with prayer you are really saying your prayer to him.

I'm pretty sure that Akhenaten was an early proponent of monotheism (albeit sun worship, if I remember correctly). Maybe there's some connection there?
