"When you're an adult, you gotta come up with your own conclusions all the time," smirked Perry as he rattled the ice around in his glass. "Start getting used to it, kiddo."
He listened patiently at Sidra's next monologue, doing the typical teacherly thing and showing that he was paying attention: nodding, twitching into an amused smile at the Yoda reference. "It's tricky business," he said during her pause, "but what can we do, besides take it one step at a time."
A moment later he was raising a hand off the table, ready to deliver some much-needed reassurance to his companion -- but he didn't get the chance, as Sidra's demeanor had suddenly changed. She'd had some sort of breakthrough. One that, honestly, didn't make much sense it all upon it coming out of her mouth.
"Teen what?"

Sidra flapped her hands at Perry, deep in thought. How best to explain her silly little extra credit project in High School in a way that didn't sound terribly pathetic.
"Teen Help Hotline was something I started when I was at Meadowview; I'm not really surprised that you didn't hear about it, it sort of died when I did. Anyway, the point was to be sort of like the kid's helpline, but different since I'm a sailor scout, so I could be a kind, understanding ear in a way that Kid's Helpline might not," Sidra shrugged, all blase after her epiphany, "it never really took off, but I did enjoy it, and it might help people to call in for information and get it without knowing who it's from. Somehow, the more mysterious you are, the more power you have. If they know it's me, I doubt they'll take any information I have seriously."
"What do you think?"
