He looked at what lengths Billy went to, thinking everything and putting it into effect. The thinking, the planning, the caring, all for him, and he was swept up in being overtaken by sheer emotion the entire time. Something as silly as bringing a cooler of deli meats made him breath deep, and he was looked at Billy, too far past the zone of just liking him that he was left to just take it in. Billy did this for him, on Valentine's day, because he cared.

"No. It's more than that. You did all this, the planning, the thought behind it, all the work you had to go through, and setting this all up, for me. I don't – I don't even know what to say. This is the first Valentine's Day I spent with anyone, and even if it happened on any other day, I'd still feel……..I just feel so lucky to have met you." He didn't even think he deserved someone was great as Billy, and he felt his eyes mist up at the idea of it all. The other boy was too good for him, and yet he was here.

Ladon moved closer, mindful of the sandwich fixings, and leaned in. It was a quick peck, but a peck no less on the cheek. "Thank you. For all of this. I couldn't be happier than I am right now. You're too good to me. I just – "He couldn't find the words, and so he settled back a bit so that they could eat, all the while smiling like a dope. He actually kissed Billy, and he was feeling too high and his chest felt as if it was expanding too much that it would pull his ribs apart.

Screw what Paris said. He was in love with Billy Roadinger.

"Well, you deserve it," was his simple reply as a hand went out to brush through Ladon's hair. This was progress for the shyer boy, and Billy noted that. Still, Billy had fun pushing the comfort zone. Buuut, maybe he'd let Ladon eat first. But there would definitely be more kissing. And not on the cheek.

Billy had forgone a couple dinners for this, but then again he'd been a little busy around dinner time.

The peck was Ladon's great achievement for that day, and he felt he was really putting in all his effort and daring into taking a step forward. To move their relationship further than just playing it safe. It was scary, but at the same time, he felt excited. It was a sickening mixture of bliss and terror, and he felt on edge and nervous all the while. Making a sandwich and collecting a juice box (He liked juice and loved the convenience of having a little box), he ate his sandwich and looked about, admiring the view as the colors from the setting sun turned lush flowers into gold, purples, and reds. It was warm, and he was to set his jacket aside and breath in deep the fresh fragrance. He hated winter, and wished for spring. He wanted to spend more time with Billy, to walk out, sit in benches in the park like he saw all the other couples do, and whisper in the dark - whenever they wanted.

They ate slowly, and soon he was full, feeling warm and content. He helped Billy put the food back, not one for wasting, and closed the cooler to set it aside. While it wasn't a heavy meal, he felt relaxed and wanted to rest. The warmth of the greenhouse and the relaxed calm he felt with Billy made him feel safe. "It's getting dark." He pointed out, wondering if Billy had a curfew.

With the meal done and out of the way, Billy took one of the pillows and propped it against the stone surrounding the large poplar tree before leaning back against it and opening his arms, ready to envelope Ladon into them.

"Indeed it is," the lighting within the greenhouse did little to obscure the view of the outside - it was just enough to see by, but not enough to cast a glare on the green-tinted glass panels. "Come, my prince, rest in your dear knight's arms within this glass palace that is ours and ours alone this night. And my no man nor beast disturb, for this night, the stars I give," Billy spoke theatrically, a smug yet teasing grin on his face.

As the sun set, there was a quiet that settled, the lights dimming naturally as the green and floral rainbows slowly warmed to a soft glow, and he breathed in the warm smell of summer that had come early in this little garden. He wished he had something like this of his own and was momentarily sad that this was just a temporary fix till spring. Still, it was a great dose of something wonderful, and he couldn't help but float on the summertime cloud that was this moment.

With a pillow that was brought over, Billy laid back and looked over, and Ladon watched him get comfortable. It was still early, the sun going down later in winter, and he wasn't just ready to go home. The best times he had with Billy was when they could just be together and talk. With outstretched arms, he was called over poetically, and Ladon had to laugh at him. "You're crazy." But despite pretending to be cool, he gently, hesitantly leaned back on the other and rested into his embrace. It wasn't something they'd done before, being this close, though they had hugged. He'd been held, but not with this sort of promise for longer than a few minutes, and defiantly not laying beside him.

A little warmer now, he now got to look up at what Billy was looking at. "You can still see the stars….even with the glass here." He noticed, looking up as the faintest glimmers of twilight started to appear.

"Crazy? Definitely," As Ladon settled in, Billy wrapped his arms around snug, and rested his chin on the juncture between shoulder and neck. "But would you have me any other way?" he asked with a wry grin at Ladon't ear.

Those rose-pink eyes settled on the stars above that were just beginning to make themselves known. It was all very calm. Billy was content with the warm body in his arms, the clean caress of the spring-like air, even the role he slipped in to, that came with less and less effort, and grew more natural. Billy supposed this was what amicable companionship was supposed to be like - effortless, peaceful. If so, then what of love? Ladon was surely enamored by him, and loved him, but what did Billy feel?

Love was still such a foreign concept to him. He had long since forgotten what it felt like to feel love for another being... It troubled him. Although all this effort was extended to further endear the boy to him, and ensure that Ladon loved him, Billy was unsure whether he'd know when he loved Ladon. troubling. Definitely troubling.
Of course, if not for Paris, this would not be an issue, but the challenge had been given that he was not able to love Ladon, and Billy had accepted that challenge. He would love Ladon.

"That's why I chose this place."

Ladon leaned back, resting and finding it strangely comfortable. It was made even more when he felt pair of arms move around him and lock him in place, securing him against the other before a head came to rest against him. Stiffening, Ladon breathed in deep and held his breath, looking up with wide eyes at the sky but not exactly looking at anything. There was something different from hugging and laying down with someone, being in their arms, when it was getting dark. The intimacy of such a moment wasn't something he was oblivious too, and he exhaled slowly so Billy wouldn't notice. He looked down at the crown of gray hair, and then slow, rose his hands up from resting on his stomach to rest atop Billy's arms, and he set them there, deciding that completed the feeling, the look, the returning gesture of acceptance that he was going for. Ladon didn't want to just take. He wanted to give a little, but it was hard when he was nervous over every little gesture.

The warm weather, full stomach, and silence helped, and he felt sleepy again, heavy with the moment and calming down slowly. "It's nice………….all of this…………………the greenhouse………..the meal………the stars…………….." He glanced down. "………you." He rested his head against Billy's, and continued to look up. "You've made this the best Valentine's day I've ever had."
PostPosted: Mon Feb 21, 2011 9:08 pm

"Mmm," A low rumble reverberated from his throat, against Ladon's shoulder, "I'll have to do better then," He said matter of factly, eyes closed. "Aim a little higher maybe. Say maybe for~ best day ever?" He reopened his eyes, and there was a light to them that seemed to say 'think you can handle that?'

Quite frankly, Billy enjoyed pushing that fine, fine line of thrill and discomfort for the boy. Why, just getting in his mind the question of 'what could Billy possibly do to make this better' was just the thing he found so entertaining. Because the mind games were sometimes better than taking action. Although he still intended to taste those pale lips. Just the barest, tiniest taste at the end of their evening. And leave Ladon wanting. That was later though. Time to have fun in the here and now.

A chuckle shook Ladon's shoulders, moving Billy's chin. "No. No. You've outdone yourself. I am a million times happy right now." He admitted, watching the stars twinkle in their encased wonderland and feeling warmer and more in a tizzy than he ever did before in Billy's embrace. This was how love had to feel like. No doubt about it. This is what people fought for, went after, waited all this time. HE had waited all this time, endlessly, watching everyone else have quick flings and fun, but he was sure he had waited for a reason. That not rushing and just wasting his love away on someone who wouldn't care wasn't the way to go, and now he was glad the could finally say that he waited for a reason. That it wasn't in vain and he hadn't been stupid all this time. All those nights he feared he'd be alone forever, that he wouldn't get anyone, and here he was, enjoying this.

He couldn't help but smile, and he would have shifted closer if their bodies weren't this way, and he kept his head rested against the soft mound of gray and breathed deep. He could sleep here forever, under the stars, and feel as if every part of him was twinkling bright. Would it be too much to say he loved Billy? Would he scare him away if he did? And………would Billy reject or become weird if he said it? He didn't want to ruin in, to he was quiet, and breathed deep the fragrance of flowers and whatever shampoo the other used.
PostPosted: Mon Feb 21, 2011 10:25 pm

For those curious, he probably smelled something like cucumber melon. At least, he was pretty sure that was what the cheap-o shampoo he picked up was... Cheap-o shampoo that doubled as a bodywash. Sigh. One of these days he'd have the money and the means for better.

He looked at the stars and thought for the longest time without uttering a word. Stars took on a whole new meaning now that he was a soldier in this war for the Earth. A war against enemies from galaxies beyond. Why Earth? Why did they choose to invade this planet? Either way, he now had a way to make a difference. To make a name for himself. If he just so happened to assist in the protection of the earth, then so be it. He couldn't really care less about the world, other than that without it is goal of immortality, figuratively though it was, would be for naught.
That and...if not for earth then where would he and Ladon go?

Billy already had a hard time imagining his few spare evenings not being spent with the innocent, virtuous, Ladon. His companion. He didn't have to work hard to impress the boy. In turn, it wasn't hard for Billy to derive simple pleasure - and not the physical kind - from him. Once again, he wondered if this was what it felt like to love.
Well, perhaps he'd simply say it was. Who could tell him otherwise? If he believed it was, then it was so.

His arms wrapped tighter around Ladon for a moment before relaxing around him again. A hug within the embrace. Saying I love you simply wasn't Billy's style, so instead he settled with a simple sighed; "Mine~"

It was the best feeling to be wanted. For someone who had been picked on, picked last, and ignored, being wanted was exactly what Ladon wanted. He felt special with Billy, desirable, and for once in his life, something that was somewhat, for whatever strange reason, able to attract someone. While Billy's logic behind it was his desire for seeing the human race as more than pawns and to feel pure again, or whatever he seemed to think of Ladon, Ladon only knew that Billy loved to be with him, have him, and saying the words 'Mine' were akin to saying 'I love you' and so that was how Ladon was going to see it. Mine meant he was wanted. Mine meant he was something someone wanted to keep and have. Mine meant he was, to some extent, treasured enough to be held. If Billy thought of him as an object, then at least he hoped he saw him as a valuable one, and hoped that with hard work, he'd see him as something more. Something with feelings, and lots of them for the other boy.

Smiling, he curled into the embrace, happy for the tight squeeze and squeezed his hands a little more around the others' arms. "..and you're mine too." Though unlike Billy, he didn't feel as if he earned or deserved it. He felt gratitude and appreciation that Billy chose him, but didn't feel as if he should have him. He just hoped he could earn and keep it. "I like being yours." He hoped, forever and always, that he would be.

Normally Billy would balk at the thought of being owned by anyone. He was the master of himself. However, he supposed he could allow it. Just this once. For just this one. For Ladon.

Companionable silence eventually turned in to hours ticking by. Relaxing, warm, hours. Contented hours. And Billy would be walking Ladon back home while all the other shops closed, and the workers counted their till and tips, perhaps having reaped the true benefits of the holiday.
The February night air was colder than the deceptive environment of the greenhouse. A pity they had to leave, but alas, the entire night could not be spent on this hard tiled floor. No. Just like on their first date, Billy walked Ladon home, an arm wrapped around the boy's waist. Although home this time was in a very different part of town. Still, it was a perfect night. No one accosted or otherwise confronted the two - normal every day human or senshi.

He nearly fell asleep, but he instead looked up at the night sky and simply relaxed. It might have seemed strange or boring to lay there, but it had been one of the most pleasant nights he had to date, and he was sad to see that it was far too late and they had to be going. They got up, and Ladon sighed at he had to put on his jacket. Leaving the greenhouse, he wished he could one day own a place like this of his own, and get one just like it to share with Billy. Maybe even that one there.

Now that the warmth of the glass house was gone, he stayed close to Billy, no longer hesitant at keeping a nice distance with him, and curled up close, having adjusted well to being held. It was warm here, and he liked how far they had gone, and it seemed the night agreed to leave them undisturbed and not letting their night be ruined by begging homeless, drunks, muggers, and 'terrorists'.

They came to Ladon's apartment, and he smiled. He would no doubt go home and rest as deeply as he ever had, and he even planned to sleep in. He'd be thinking about this night for days to come, and sigh in response each time. "This was a really great night, Billy. It's the most romantic thing everyone has ever done for me. Thank you."

He let Billy up to his apartment, up the stairs, and started to fish his keys out.
PostPosted: Tue Feb 22, 2011 9:28 pm

"I would assume so, given what you've told me," He chuckled slightly. No, he had no doubt that Ladon had never been treated in any romantic manner. "All the same, you are welcome. T'was my pleasure."

Billy had no intentions of going in to the apartment, and as Ladon fished for his keys, Billy placed one forearm on the door pane to the side of the boy's head, and put his free hand on Ladon's shoulder, seeking to turn him to face him.
This was the moment Billy had been waiting for - the shocking, yet pleasant, departure kiss.

His hand moved from shoulder, gently up Ladon's neck, then to cub his cheek - caramel skin against fair pale. Simultaneously came the decent of lips upon lips. A soft, gentle, pressure that seemed to end far too soon. In fact, the contact had barely lasted but ten seconds before the slow withdrawal of lips, and the loss of a warm hand against a soft cheek. Eyes half lidded and a satisfied smile on his face, Billy took a step back, and bid Ladon adieu.

"I'll see you again soon, baby."

And before much else could be said he was gone, leaving Ladon with whatever reaction or feelings that might have come to him.
