Tony pulled up a word document and tried to type things out simply, though he quickly got wrapped up in including explanations of everything, and laying out the page in an orderly, neat kind of way. He couldn't help himself, sometimes, liking things organized. And wordy, it seemed.
It ended up being three pages long. A cheat essay more than a cheat sheet, but hopefully it would be readable and he would be able to follow along. He had steps for different processes around the library, which Ever would be able to reference when he needed to.
He printed it out and came over to the front desk in time to see an angry young girl wandering away, saying she didn't want Dracula, she wanted 'hot' vampires. Not knowing what that was about, he looked at Ever with slightly raised eyebrows.
"Everything okay?" he asked, offering him the pages. "I... ah... well." He didn't think he had to explain what he did for the cheat sheet, blushing slightly because he knew well enough that it was too much, and defeated the purpose for the most part.

"She wanted vampires, so I pointed her toward vampires." It was mildly exasperated, Ever reaching out to take the papers from Tony. If he hadn't still been hung over [drained] he might have been a bit friendlier about it, but as it was he thought he'd done a good job and been blown off. He shook his head a little and skimmed the page...
...and then blinked and went over it more slowly, looking over the details, his expression softening and then tightening back into focus. Actually, it did seem just fine; Ever picked out the key points and finally eased into a smile, looking up at Tony. "...do you have a sheet of paper, too? Like, just. Paper. With lines. And a pen. No computer or anything."

"Paper, yes, we have some over-" he was going to the printer, but stopped and looked at Ever when he said he wanted a lined sheet of paper. He frowned thoughtfully, then scratched at the back of his neck. Why was thinking so hard? It shouldn't have been, but for some reason... he couldn't quite get his brain clicking like he wanted it to.
Maybe he had put too much effort into that list and it had drained him of his ability to think properly.
Probably not.
"Ah, let me check my desk," he said, going to it and opening the drawers one by one. He finally found a notepad, from which he pulled a piece of paper, then walked over to the counter to give it to Ever. Of course, he forgot the pen, so went back for his desk for one only to come back with it and realize there were some on the counter that could have been used.
He sighed.

Unlined would have worked too; Ever would have settled for a pencil. The way Tony twitched about to get exactly what Ever had asked for left him amused, arms folded across the desk and tired eyes tracking him. His fingers were shaky, his head heavy. An effort to stay upright.
"...thanks Tony." He shook his head just a little as he took the supplies from Tony's hands, flipping easily through the little notebook to find a fresh sheet and twisting the pen in his hands. "I'm just, um."
He set to writing as he spoke, even. For someone who was always such a mess, he had a shockingly precise hand, letters slanted and tidy, flowing easily one into the other. Well-trained. "I'm going to make short notes. And then I can refer back...."
He flicked a quick look up at Tony and offered a smile. "Sorry. I'm hopeless. It'll be okay though."

Tony hadn't even thought about getting him a substitute for what he specifically asked for. Maybe that was because of his long 'training' in the library. When people asked for books, they generally did not like his helpful suggestions for things that might be as good. Of course, if he read more his suggestions might be better, but he still felt knowledgeable enough to make them. In any case, he now always tried to get them what they wanted first, and offer a suggestion second.
Tony watched him write, expecting penmenship similar to his own. Rushed, but legible for the most part. Instead, Ever turned out to have rather nice hand writing.
"Oh, I see," he said, catching on to the plan here. "Ah, well, whatever helps you the most, honestly. Don't worry about it. And when you're done there, you can head home for the day. You look miserable, and I think you've gotten enough information for one day."

"Oh..." He blinked at that, then down at the page, and set to scribbling faster. He was wiped, and he the idea of going home to nap for a while sounded just brilliant. So Ever flashed Tony a grin, all tired eyes and bruising and the pen loose in his hand.
"Should I come back, then? Or when? I don't know..." Presumably he hadn't ******** up that much. Tony would forgive him.

Tony smiled, patting him lightly on the shoulder.
"Yes, of course you can come back. It wouldn't be much of a job if you only had one day, which was mostly learning things you wouldn't have time to use. Ah. So. How about in a few days, when you're feeling better? Thursday? Same time."
Maybe he'd be able to make it by three on a day when he wasn't, as far as Tony knew, hung over.
He smiled, though, as he had been sufficiently won over to pity by seeing Ever struggle through the day so far, and he didn't want to push the younger man when he was obviously feeling so crummy.

It was highly unlikely Ever would be on time a single day in his life but -- he blinked and nodded anyway, clattering the pen back and forth between two fingers and considering Tony. "Sure, then. I'll uh. I'll finish up here, and then maybe go nab something to take home with me and then, um."
He shrugged, dipping his head back to consider his list. It wouldn't take him long at all. "I'll be back on Thursday."

Tony nodded his head, then left him to finish his paper work. He went to help the next person to come up to the line, summoning them over to the secondary computer on the counter. There were only two, but Tony rarely had need for more.
It was a simple check out, and he sent them on their way in due time, glancing back at Ever to see how things were going. Once he was all sorted, Tony would let him go get a much needed nap.
Hell, the librarian was feeling like one, but that was due to strange sleep issues recently. He returned to his desk, since the place was still empty.
